We we're truly surprised just how good this hotel was. For the money I wasn't expecting such a spacious clean room, the fantastic facilities here such as the pool, gym, included breakfast, free parking....I could go on. Staff are lovely and welcoming, it's close enough to restaurants and not far from Siesta Key beach. Brilliant value. If we didn't need to move on we would stay here for longer. Thanks!

The hotel was a good value. My wife does prefer a higher level hotel so that is on me for picking this one. One item to note for improvement, if possible. The single elevator, serving only three floors, is very slow. The wait time was excessive, in my opinion. The front desk person was friendly.

The reason I don’t give them a 5 is because: 1) the pool was dirty, the pool didn’t have any chlorine even if it is salt water should have some sort of chlorine. The walls of the pool were very dirty and to be worst the guys that were cleaning around didn’t respect that we were there to use the blower to clean which half of the debris was fallen in the pool. 2) the rug in the place was extremely dirty.

The hotel staff tried but it was just too many small things. First, the luggage racks had flat tires. Secondly, there was smell in the hallway when you exited of the elevator. There was no linen for the pull out bed. Poolside was just bugs crawling everywhere. They never came out to clean the patio as the same towels and bottles were on table for three days. A little bug spray around the perimeter of the pool would have been wonderful to help staying out more pleasant. The breakfast was decent, nothing to shout about. I feel like they did not care as we were there in the off season. Still, customer service should remain the same no matter the time of the year.

I always stay at this hotel whenever I'm in sarasota, i choose it mainly because of the EV charge option as well as the bed comfortability. There are dining options and gyms around and also 2min drive to i75. Perfect location in my opinion.

We stayed on the first floor in the entrance near the canal and there was a strong smell of sewage throughout our 2 night stay. The bathroom exhaust fan didn’t work.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean, and smelled fresh (unlike the chemical cleaning smell hotel rooms often have). The bed was extremely comfortable, and it was good to have a choice of pillow. There was plenty of space in the room, and the temperature was controllable. My only complaint is the noise. The hotel walls are too thin, and the ice-maker in the corridor is terribly loud at all hours.

Overall, a good place to stay if you want an affordable and convenient option. Service is great, it feels clean and well kept. The downside we discovered is that there’s some sort of pipe “noise” that can be heard very loudly in every guest room. I suspect it’s the showers in neighboring rooms. I sleep with earplugs and a noisemaker, yet still heard the noise relatively easily through my “precautions.” When it was mentioned to the staff, they apologized and offered us an amount off our room. That was handled quickly and to our satisfaction (not their fault!). If you can get past this, you’ll enjoy your stay.

My daughter, husband and I had a wonderful seven day stay. We stayed in a king bed suite on the second floor. It was spacious, clean and quiet. I was able to enjoy the fitness area but I would recommend they provide mats so that guests and do floor exercises. Also to ensure the hand sanitizer especially in that room is always working. Wiping down exercise equipment before and after use is good practice for those who use the facilities. The pool was nice too. Parking was plentiful and breakfast was good. Would recommend this place to anyone.

Very large and comfortable room with an exceptional view of a lake. The pool was amazing as were the facilities for outdoor cooking and even a fire pit. Check in staff was welcoming, professional, and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious. Only recommendation I would have is change the showerhead.

Overall the hotel and the rooms were nice and the area was very close to restaurants as well as to the beach. Breakfast was okay. The only thing is the smell coming from the sewers we think but it wasn’t that bad. However, we didn’t get our rooms clean both nights that we were there and the staff was kind of rude and helpless with the situation. The manager cleaning lady said she herself cleaned the room when we had pictures they didn’t even put soap or picked up the trash. So we thought it was a very bad service on their end since it is supposed to be included on the reservation.

Our experience at Comfort Suites Sarasota- Siesta Key was very enjoyable! The breakfast was amazing that was fixed by Yevone. She was very friendly and helpful. The front desk personel Eric was very helpful as well. Keep up the great work you two..... you made our stay spectacular!

Hotel looked not very busy as parking lot was less than half full. Desk person looked put-out when asked for a third floor room not overlooking the parking lot. Said there were none available, and she did not check. I stay here once a month for business, and almost always get a room in the back of the hotel. Was very disappointed in the desk person’s attitude and unwillingness to at least check on the request. Made me feel I was interrupting her.

The hallway to our room smelled musty and was hot. No ventilation in the bathroom. My throat became scratchy after one nights stay accompanied by a horrible headache. Immediately checked out first thing in the morning and told the front desk about the issues and my health concerns. The “manager” , Lisa, was not only condescending (stating no other guest has mentioned the smell, as if that were relevant) but flat out rude and was not forthcoming about her title. She was also hesitant when I asked her name. We were not warmly greeted checking in, one elevator, shower was partially held together by caulk and just an awful first and last time staying at a Comfort Inn. Employees should wear name tags and if they are truly management, professionalism should be on display at all times. I was also forced to pay for two nights stay because I didn’t give a 24 hour notice before leaving, however, we weren’t even at the hotel for 12 hours total. Definitely would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The staff that checked us in was great, however our room smelled like wet dog, I didn’t say anything because there was a baseball team and I knew nothing was going to be done. We slept horribly as all you heard were doors slamming and kids running up and down the halls. Someone was playing music loud till 12am. The next day I asked for a late checkout as I wasn’t able to take my Yorkie with me to the beach I was told yes, then I get a phone call after I left the property no because housekeeping would be gone by 2pm. I offered to pay for the late check out to offset the labor. I even left the room ready for them to just come in and make beds because I stripped the bed and the sofa bed, I put the sofa bed away. I would tell someone we can’t honor a late checkout because my staff is leaving. Awful service and when I said to Lisa on the phone I wish you would have told me before I left, she loudly said ma’am I called you right after we spoke. You told me one thing and then go back on it but I get yelled at. Absolutely not.. will NEVER stay here again

So liked staying at Comfort Suites - Siesta Key! The staff were great! Yevone cooks great and deserves to be rewarded.... she goes out of her way for the people staying. And Eric was wonderful and full of information to help us.... he deserves a round of applause! Thank you all!

Signage for the property is on the cross street but not at or near the entrance itself. And it is largely hidden by trees at its entrance. So stay alert. Good location, though. Short drive to the beach without the outrageous beach hotel prices.

Stayed at the this hotel many times over the years…. We choose it for the quiet location. And it is only a short drive to the beach… which is why we come to siesta key. The breakfast offered is the same every day, which becomes of putting when staying for more than a few nights…. The quality is not good in comparison to other hotels we stay in, there needs to be more choice. We will always stay at the comfort inn when we are in Sarasota.but we skip the breakfast most days.

The breakfast selections were very minimal. The taste of the powered eggs very apparent. No boiled eggs, no pastries, and only one kind of meat ( pork sausage). Was something similar to what 1 star property would offer. The server at the breakfast room was extremely nice and efficient. A better breakfast would make it a 5 star property as everything else was great.
