I like that it was an easy walk to the beach. The fitness room was very small and it was not open based on the hours posted. I like working out in the morning before starting work and it didn't open until 8:30.

This place is great very affordable for the area. You can walk anywhere and you get chairs at the beach. Pool is also very clean and on the roof top.

A poor poor balcony and pool view. There was a wall blocking the view of the pool from the balcony. Had to stand up to see it. Very disappointing small pool that didn't make it inviting to relax in. Only a few people could get in comfortably at a time. I didn't use the pool. That was disappointing. Housekeeping left rolls used to unclog the sink on the bathroom counter which were there egged i checked in. A day later housekeeping left cleaning materials, solution and cleaning rag in the room. I reported both to the front desk. They were very apologetic and brought up an individual bottle of champagne as an apology. Stay was ok. I don't think I would stay here again.

front desk staff great, but he did everything. many times, no one was there. he did everything. hot shower was awesome. on site coffee shop is solid, easy, good choice. valet parking, EXPENSIVE, $50/ DAY, then you need to provide them 20 to 30 min advance notice to retrieve it. plus, resort fee even if do not use the beach or pool.... adds up....

Poorly managed, elevators not functional at times… we were on the 8th floor… Lack of staff and rude check in staff. Do not recommend, pay 50$ more per night and stay elsewhere, don’t get fooled by their competitive pricing, which I did.

Cool stay.. when we arrived late around 12a the elevator was broken and we were on the 8th floor.. by the time we woke up the next day it was fixed so that was great.. called down for more towels brought right up.. not too far of a walk from beach about 7min.. about 15min from south beach where the crowded area usually is… close to 24hr Walgreens which is a plus! Have fun!

This hotel is very nice for the price! Limited amenities and it is obvious why it is cheaper but my boyfriend and I faced no real problems. The room was pretty clean and the atmosphere was pleasant. The employees at this establishment were beyond kind and helpful, I wouldn’t recommend this property for anyone looking for a premium or luxurious experience as it is just a hotel with nothing too special other than overpriced valet parking and a pool that doesn’t go deeper than 4 feet. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to families or people who are looking to stay on property for most of their visit as it is a very limited hotel in terms of what it offers compared to the surrounding hotels.

Solid three star, maybe 3.5, but definitely not a four star hotel. Rooftop pool and sundeck are nice, but the fitness center was tiny and not well equipped. First floor rooms are noisy. Front desk did not answer the telephone. Relatively easy walk to many restaurants and beach chairs are provided to guests.

The staff was very nice and they did give me a credit for the resort fee, but I wouldn't stay here again. We were in a badly placed room - next to elevators, adjoining room (with noisy neighbors), our shower dripped (which doesn't seem like a big deal, but could be heard throughout the room) and outside our windows were all the a/c units. It was just loud. In addition we used the valet service for our car and were told that we need to give a 30 min notice before we would need it again, luckily we called early as it took them almost an hour to get our car. The other issue was it really needed a deep cleaning - our shower had visible mold in the corners, as well as the sink. The good, walkable to a lot of places/restaurants - but for the price tag, I expected better.

The room was clean and the staff was great. I loved the pool and the two complimentary beach chairs. We were able to check in when we landed around noon, and didn't have to wait until 4pm which was great. They also are able to hold your bags for you if you're unable to check in early/check out on time.

Sadly to say my partner and I had to check out earlier than we expected this morning on 8/1/25 due to seeing a roach crawling near the refrigerator and coffee pot! As I was checking out I mentioned it to the front desk associate and she then called her manager after asking did I open the window? “I didn’t know the windows could open”, was my response! As I’m talking to the manager and giving her my complaint she proceeds to say roaches are hard to control when you have people bringing in outside food and even at her personal home it can be a problem. I don’t know when the last time I’ve experienced a roach in a hotel room, let alone a manager comparing her personal life to customer service when there is a professional business involved. There is no comparison to good customer service and personal home matters. It was very unprofessional and I demanded a FULL REFUND of $138.35. They didn’t even offer me a voucher for a free meal after all that! I was just saying before seeing the roach how I loved this hotel and we’ll be staying again, I DOUBT IT NOW!!

The hotel is located in a great convenient location. The only thing I did not like was the room condition. The room smelled funky like mold. I believe the smell came from the lifted wood floor near the shower. The wood floor was lifting high enough that every time you left the room or came in and stepped on it the smell just increased. Management should really take care of that. Other than this everything else was just fine.

There were roaches in our room & then they tried to say we left the door open. We don’t even leave the door open at home! The one was cleaned one time of being there for 4 days & we had to ask. I won’t be staying there again! Then we were suppose to get a free bottle of wine for our stay & never received it! - I didn’t feel comfortable staying here

I stayed at the Iberostar hotel in Miami for 3 nights. The location was good, but the amenities did not meet the standards of a typical 4-star hotel. The staff was not very friendly, and some of them couldn’t speak English. The room amenities were limited — there was no bottled water or kettle, and the furnishings were outdated. At the front desk, only one lady, whom I saw in the evening, was friendly; the rest were not. The cleaning was not done properly every day. Not sure if it’s every room but the shower is partially frosted glass that sits out in the room where everyone in room sees you. No privacy & very odd. I actually saw in pictures online but at first I thought it was just the inside of the bathroom. Otherwise a good place.

Great staff- super old property that needs refreshing. Clean but old and shower could use an update -- EXTREMELY NOISY did numbers room facing the driveway, parking on side - windows are so thin and garbage delivery truck is non stop from 4:30-7:30am delivery - because it's back of Ross - couldn't sleep the entire 5 nights there- AWFULLY NOISY

Walls are too thin, you can hear EVERYTHING. Our stay was only $159, but I see sometimes it is $450 and I would be livid after spending that and not getting sleep because of the noise from other rooms! Cafe in front was lovely.

The hotel was smaller than I thought, the room was smaller and even that I was in a premium room, my window was looking at a wall next to an ally, where at 6am started to sound garbage truck.

This was our 3rd time at this hotel. We like the proximity to the beach and restaurants. We love sitting on our balcony and enjoy the views. Hotel is getting old though and needs a makeover. Carpets were stained, furniture outdated…

The check in and check out experience were terrible. Over 3 hours to check in and our room was not ready due to the rooms not being cleaned. Stephanie was horrible to work with, extremely rude.

The hotel is ideally located near shops and restaurant, a short stroll from the beach too. We like the personnel too. Were even able to drop off our luggage after our cruise during a long layover. Thank you Victor!

The Iberostar Waves Berkeley Shore was an excellent hotel choice in Miami Beach, Florida. The hotel looked and smelled clean. We arrived late due to our flight being delayed and Abdullah greated us with a smile and was very helpful with all of the information regarding our stay. All of the staff we encountered during our stay was very pleasant and welcoming. We requested a late check out and Genesis assisted us with securing our luggage and allowing us to hang out by the pool until our departure. The hotel is located in a great location to access the beach. Beach and pool towels are available and you receive a beach chair as part of the resort fee. The elevator is a little slow so be patient. Overall this is a wonderful hotel and I would definitely stay again.

I arrived to the hotel on the day that i was supposed to check in and found that they had given my room to someone else and they had no other rooms left. They were fully booked and had double booked the rooms. I was told that double booking was the norm. I was also informed that I had to go and stay at a different hotel and pay for a room at the other hotel, so that’s what I did since I had no choice. Fortunately, i was able to get a full refund a couple of days later for my booking at Berkeley Shore.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Berkeley Shore. Victor from the front desk was very professional and helpful. I also witnessed him interact with a guest who was upset and extremely confrontational, however Victor remained professional. It was quite impressive.

A maintenance man tried to walk in at 7:15am without knocking. The cleaners never cleaned my room until I asked the 2nd day. The glass shower is in the middle of the room so consider that when deciding who you are rooming with. Very few of the staff speak English at all

Generally the hotel was nice, clean and in a good location. However, the receptionists and general staff were absolutely awful. Receptionists on the phone with earphones tells you everything you need to know.

This hotel is in the most perfect location for exploring South Beach Miami by foot. You are never more than a 10-15 min walk to any of the famous restaurant/shopping streets. The hotel is also very close to the beach. The location was priceless. For being right in the middle of the action, the hotel was surprisingly quiet, but I was on the ninth floor, which may have helped. I really enjoyed my stay here, and I would recommend this hotel if location and convenience are very important to you.

Checking in and out was easy. Room was nice and service was friendly and helpful. Restaurant was good. Location was great. Room was clean. The building is old, decor was nice but needed some minor repairs/touch up. Great value for the money. Would recommend and would stay there again.

Room was ok, staff were friendly. Air con was stuck on cold and toilet blocked. Breakfast was the big disappointment, you get a voucher and with it the menu is restricted and boring, with watered down juice.

Our check in staff was wonderful, the staff at the restaurant was rude when I tried to get her attention so we got up and went somewhere else for breakfast. The room was great, the bathroom however needs a deeper cleaning the previous guest left make up that was not cleaned up.

The hotel is adorable and the staff are amazing. The room was small, but it worked for us. The shower is frosted, but in view of the room, which was odd. You are one block from the beach! The pool is small, but clean. The sun deck is nice. The bar & restaurants were great! We didn’t get our bottle of wine, but overall, a great stay!

Limited in-room coffee pods - only included two pods, for two people for two days. So no coffee for us this morning, hence this review. Also, no complimentary water which is almost standard theses days. But, I think there was a complimentary bottle of wine - which is nice, but would have traded for water and/or more coffee!!! Also, do not offer in-room dining, though advertised. Not that big of deal - we just had to go down to bar and order, wait and bring back up to room. Sounds lazy, but we were tired and what we love about having room service after traveling. What we didn’t like, the bill! Defo paid room service price for take out burger, wrap and fries. The bartender was lovely though, and obviously his fault. I may sound over critical w this review (still cranky from early morning crashing dumbbells and no coffee pods), but this hotel isn’t bad.
