Hassle free check in and we were allowed to check in early as our room was ready for us. Excellent coffee machine available on each floor and we stayed in a very quiet and spacious, internal room with no windows. Great location and only a 5 min walk to Aldgate east tube station.

A funky place to say with intriguing fittings! Downgraded it somewhat since on our final day, there was no hot water available and the staff didn’t seem to be able to fully explain what the problem was, and when it would be resolved.

Not keen on the rooms with no windows but other than that good stay , parking pricy £20 a day too but I suppose it’s convenient location , staff are excellent , cleaned everyday and free coffee machine on each floor , breakfast was nice and good selection, 5 min walk to brick lane .

Nice modern hotel. Free coffee. Close to an underground station, cafes and Tesco Express. Doors lock at 9:00 p.m., but you can still open them with a card. Bar open 24/7. A large bed and a good blanket. The bathroom lacked ventilation and soundproofing. Weird furniture and trash bins.

There's no reception as the check in is automatic. This could look "cool" until you have an issue, then you just end up locked outside from your room without anyone able to help you as the evening staff is just bar waiters. Staff tried to help, but the system had a bug with my reservation. I asked them to open my door with a master key, so now I'm in the room but without any key until tomorrow morning 😊

The ‘greenest’ property we’ve stayed in London. Turning out to be our favourite hotel in East London. Safe, close to transport links and really values sustainability. Parking was also available at a reasonable rate per night. Would highly recommend.

Staff were incredible, there’s no question that everyone who works there is brilliant. We arrived and struggled to find the carpark entrance at first and when we went inside to ask for help, the staff member didn’t even hesitate to walk outside and show us where we needed to go. It was really noticeable how friendly everyone was and how happy they were to go out of their way to let us have a good stay. My only critique of the stay is the rooms probably need more attention on cleaning the floors and dusting the aircon vents (especially in summer) as there was lots of dust around the room/floor so our feet got dirty quickly and the wall had some dust sitting. That aside, I definitely would come again. it was a really great location, parking felt safe, good value for London city, staff was terrific and the hotel even upgraded our room the day before free of charge. Would definitely come again on my next visit and my friend who was with me, who travels to London for work frequently, said she would certainly not hesitate to go back either.

Due to last minute switching of hotels I booked a room that didn't have windows. There was a musty smell but it was too late to worry about it at check in. The next morning the sewage smell was much stronger to the point I needed to keep the door propped open while I rushed to get ready and get out. The weird thing wa that this was on the 2nd floor and the hallway air was fine. Recommend you avoid non-window rooms at this hotel. Otherwise the hotel seems nice.

Great affordable Hotel near city centre. Tiny room and not the cleanest. Air conditioning too loud and rumbling to have running through night, no windows on the cheaper inside rooms, so aircon is only means of some airflow. Very dusty in rooms and daily cleaning misses a lot. Really like that they have a coffee- tea station on each floor for a hot drink in morning. Light switches in one corner of room that aren’t accessible from door or bathroom side of bed, where single traveler would most likely sleep.

We had a room on the basement floor with no windows. It wasnt the best. I can live with no windows but i do need light. Only lights available were in the bathroom and bedside no other lights. Looking at the bed frame surrond the loose wire suggests there was additional lighting once upon a time. The rug was dirty and so was the laminate flooring, water didnt drain away in the shower but water pressue was good. Staff were almost no existant. 24hr bar had very limited choice of drinks. I wouldnt stay again, small, dark very warm room, not worth the money

My family and I stayed at The Corner London City for our first post pandemic summer vacation. The stay was fine but there were a few somewhat frustrating issues. 1. There is not always a dedicated staff member at front of the hotel (check in and checkout is done via screen) so if you have a need or question, you will need to talk to the bartender who is busy being a bartender. 2. We stayed in the deluxe king room as a family of 3. We thought deluxe would include couch b/c we indicated the age of our child, but it is only a king bed. The cot can be purchased for $25 a night - not a lot, but not trivial if your vacation is over a week. 3. There are automated coffee machines on all of the floors. Ours worked once. The remainder of our stay we would walk up or down the stairs hoping that floor's would work. There is one on the ground floor that was the most reliable.

Hotel was nice, lobby and bar is lovely lots of effor put into it. Self check-in with no personalisation. The room is nice on first look, booked a no window room and got a window room, wasnt tok fussed. By the time i got to bed my son was asleep, realised the curtains did not fully cover the windows and they had holes in them. As you spend more time in the room you realise its not fully clean, dirt on the bottom of the 'pod' and dust everywhere. Overall wasn't the worst, just appeared more attention on the front and not the actual room.

A little on the shabby side. Coil whine from the electrics all night, old and only partially functioning TV. Badly designed room layouts. I can see what they were trying to do, but they seem to have cut too many corners. If you’re on a strict budget, then fine, but pay a bit more and you’ll get a lot more.

Being close to tube is great for getting around but rooms aren’t functional if you plan on staying longer than overnight. Barely any space to hanger clothes and no shelves or drawers, you have to keep things in your suitcase. Also the air conditioner doesn’t function to full power, room was 29 degrees. The gave us 2 floor fans to compensate

I was in a basement room with no window which I knew when I booked. It was a bit of a trek to the room and the signage is ok but not good enough to stop me getting lost. It meant a long walk for a drink as there are no tea and coffee making facilities in the room. I suspect it’s great if you’re younger and not too tired.

Hotel manager was lovely but the room was too cold. Room finally got to temperature after 8 hours of air con heater on full. I know it’s London but £7 a pint still sucks. Ok for a ‘budget’ option. Beware of booking by Expedia for a family as there is a hidden extra charge for kids beds.

Stay itself was fine. The self serve check in & out was a nightmare. Card machines not pronting receipts properly on check in, and no invoice sent to me upon checkout. I have rang and rang, emailed and used the contact form on the website and just cannot get in touch with the hotel. For this reason alone i would not recommend and would not stop here again.

The hotel, its interior, and the staff were okay. However, we were dissatisfied for two main reasons. Firstly, the room did not have a window, which was not ideal. Secondly, the hotel did not provide us with an option to store our suitcases after checking out. When we inquired, we were told that they do not have a dedicated luggage storage room. We then asked if we could leave our suitcases in the lobby, where staff are always present, but this was also not allowed. The staff explained that the hotel would be closed at midday for cleaning, which we found puzzling—wouldn’t staff still be present during this time? This lack of flexibility and consideration left us disappointed. Overall, it’s clear that the hotel does not prioritize customer needs. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend it.

There's no reception as the check in is automatic. This could look "cool" until you have an issue, then you just end up locked outside from your room without anyone able to help you as the evening staff is just bar waiters. Staff tried to help, but the system had a bug with my reservation. I asked them to open my door with a master key, so now I'm in the room but without any key until tomorrow morning 😊

Our first impression when walking in was not a good one. The lady at front desk was very rude and without asking a single question, told us we couldn\'t be there because it wasn\'t check-in time. We had previously added early check-in to our reservation (for a fee of 50 euros). However she didn\'t even bat an eye before telling us we were crowding her lobby too early... Once that debacle was taken care of, we headed off to our room, only to find that our supposed double room, was a king bed and nothing more. We are two adults and two kids, and just one bed. When we approached her with this situation, we were told that\'s the room I had booked and nothing could be done about that. We had thankfully traveled with family and they offered to change rooms so our kids could have a place to sleep. The room with the sofa bed didn\'t come with sheets, pillows or anything to make this bed with. When I asked for sheets, they gave me one and that was that. We made do but this was not a pleasant stay by any standards. The room was not clean, "the bathroom" door was stuck and did not close. When I say "bathroom" I mean a box of sorts, that comes attached to the bed frame, with barely any space for a normal human being. Of course this "bathroom" is right in front of the door so we always had to make sure the room door was locked before using it and that everyone inside was on the other side of room so you could take care of business without flashing anyone, since the door wouldn\'t close.

Hassle free check in and we were allowed to check in early as our room was ready for us. Excellent coffee machine available on each floor and we stayed in a very quiet and spacious, internal room with no windows. Great location and only a 5 min walk to Aldgate east tube station.

If you are going to be out and about and seeing London, I feel like this hotel gives you all you need and then some at a good price. There's a cute hangout in the lobby area, a bar, a restaurant. You're so close to Aldgate East tube stop (it's practically across the street) and Whitechapel tube stop (with its fantastic access to the wonderful Elizabeth line out to Heathrow). Brick Lane and Spitalfields Market are just an amble away. Very bustling, diverse neighborhood. I never felt unsafe and I'm a solo female traveler.

This quirky little hotel was our landing spot for seven nights. The pod bed/bathroom is definitely funky but was comfortable for the three of us. We had complete control of the AC and could adjust it as needed. Excellent hot breakfast was included with our package. There is also great food within walking distance, easy access to the Underground, and a relatively quiet neighborhood. That said, the local area is gritty and covered in graffiti/street art. I don’t recommend walking around at night, but you should definitely explore the area during the day.

The staff was amazing and property is great. The area is vibrant and convenient to White chapel, East Algate and Aldgate tube stations. The original White Chapel for which the area is named is right next door too!

The hotel is well situated, a short walk from Aldgate East Tube Station and close to lots of cafés, bars and restaurants in the Whitechapel area of East London. The rooms are spacious, clean and quiet. The free hot drinks machine on each floor is a nice touch, although I wouldn't want to be in the room next to it as it's a rather noisy and attracts a lot of foot traffic!

Really enjoyed our stay here, room was nice and quiet. Tea and coffee station on our floor had a fantastic selection, was nice to have have different options that aren't offerent in some other hotels. Breakfast we really enjoyed, great selection and staff very attentive and friendly. Room was clean and exactly what we were looking for to enjoy a weekend getaway after sight seeing. Nice and close to the tube and close to sightseeing. We look forward to staying next time we come to London, thank you :)

We only got this hotel because our train home was cancelled. But it was a great find the hotel itself is very different to anywhere we've stayed before but it was great. The staff were fantastic really helpfull and very pleasant.The pizza we had that night was great and the breakfast was better than most. This hotel was a wonderful surprise at the end of a very trying night.

An electric chair fashioned with some old hosepipe does not a boutique hotel make... Firstly, on arrival in the room, the aircon was set to 27 degC heating - it was swealtering, and completely wasteful to do that, seemingly in all rooms. Secondly, the rooms are basically just pods with an old, tired, bathroom block. Reasonably well appointed, but just not well thought through. Also, the noise. Someone was mopping the bathroom next door at about 1am, and I could hear every moment of it. I was on the ground floor so expected some noise, but this was surprisingly poor. Lastly, breakfast was basic. The juice was watered down concentrate and not great. Coffee was mediocre, and the hot breakfast was on a par with some of the cheapest hotels I've visited. Sorry, but the redesign might look pretty but the result is frankly not as good as it could have been.

Great breakfast and fun rooms, easy walking distance to places like Brick Lane and (slightly further) Tower Bridge/Borough Market (or even closer to tube/Elizabeth line if preferred). It's quite hands off in terms of staff interaction, but they were helpful when needed. We stayed as a couple and would happily return just us or with family.

Coffee machine outside of room so did have to get dressed just to get a coffee but really not a problem. Handy it was self check in & out and we could leave luggage before & after our stay. Good location too near Aldgate East station & Tower Hill, not rough.
