Very clean and modernized room. Very friendly staff. Only reason for dropping it down to 4 stars is that when booking it appeared as if the continental breakfast was included, however it is not. It is available for 10 euros per person which was a bit disappointing (and expensive).

Hôtel standard et abordable. Il y a un ascenseur ce qui n'est pas le cas de tous les hôtels, en revanche il est très petit. Réception 24h/24h Très bien situé à 2 minutes du métro et à 10 de la gare de Lyon. Quartier très vivant ,ce qui peut être une gêne certains soirs. Juste à coté du Café de la danse, ce qui en fait un très bon choix si vous voulez assister à un concert là bas.

Ótimo custo-benefício, localização excelente, perto de tudo (metrô, restautantes, mercado etc.). Quarto compacto bem funcional e equipe super solícita. O elevador e os corredores são muito estreitos e podem ser um problema para bagagens e mobilidade.

Near multiple Metro stop makes this a convenient location especially if you’re coming from Gare de l’Est station. Close to Richard Lenoir Thur / Sunday farmers market if you’re looking for local foods. Right around the corner from excellent bakery (aux 2 angels), get your pastries fix there. Hotel itself is dated in decor and low on amenities, but acceptable for its price and location. Front desk is friendly and helpful, you can leave your luggage there for the day after you check out which makes it handy to go around Paris if you have a late train or flight to catch.

Hotel muy bien ubicado con una relación calidad-precio buena teniendo en cuenta los precios de los hoteles en París. Mi habitación suficientemente amplia y reformada. El baño también reformado pero demasiado pequeño. Personal de recepción amable. Ascensor diminuto, no apto para claustrofobicos. En resumen, volvería a repetir.

The room is standard and clean. Notice that there is no access to a hairdryer. Breakfast "bufeet" is only access to some baguette, cheese, jam, croissant, coffee and hot water

Very small room, almost no storage space, noisy street below on Saturday. Smallest elevator I have ever seen. Other than that, friendly staff, excellent location, reasonable price. Would come again.

Would stay again. Great value. Close to Metro and restaurants. Elevator is really tiny though, so sent my luggage in the elevator and walked the stairs.

The hotel staff was amazing! The sheets had hair and stains on them and at night it was very loud as there is a bunch of bars and clubs right outside the hotel, noise goes till about 6am so I recommend getting earplugs to sleep. Otherwise the location was good and the hotel was in good condition.

Very friendly staff and a comfortable stay. Room was clean and newly decorated. The pillows were very hard but I think they were brand new so may soften up a bit!

Værelserne er ikke store, men vel indrettede. Rengøring hver dag til topkarakter. Nye håndklæder hver dag. Morgenmaden ikke overdådig, men der var et fint udbud. Receptionen altid hjælpsom. Kan absolut anbefale dette lille hotel.

It's a 2 star hotel so I wasn't expecting luxury. The room was clean, quiet and felt safe. The staff were friendly and manned reception 24 hours which helped you feel even more secure and the location was superb. I think we got a bigger room than most when we looked at the floor plan on the wall so we got lucky as our room wasn't huge but was adequate. Aircon in the room came in handy on day 1.

The common areas are old but the room was freshly renovated and absolutely spotless. Friendly and helpful staff. Amazing location with many budget friendly dining options nearby. The room I stayed in faced the street with lots of bars and restaurants nearby so it was quite noisy until very late at night - it wasn't a dealbreaker for me but might be for some travellers.

Great location, and clean hotel, and no carpets in the room (thank you!). The room was small but very functional. The staff was very helpful.

Petit hotel propre et calme.

Hôtel de petite taille, tout proche de Bastille quartier animé. Chambre propre et salle d'eau-WC très propres et en très bon état de marche. Rien à reprocher à cet espace, parfait pour un court séjour de travail ou de visite ponctuelle à Paris. Rapport qualité/prix tout à fait honnête. Nombreux restaurants et cafés-bistrots tout autour. Recommandé.

Rummet var jättefint, men lite dåligt städat i badrummet. Men det var bra bäddat och rent i sängarna. I övrigt var hotellet i rätt slitet skick, och det låg på en ganska stökig bakgata. Men hotellet har bra läge, och nära till tunnelbanan. Anmärkningsvärt var att man måste lämna in nyckeln i receptionen varje gång man gick ut, och hämta den när man kom in.

Room was small bathroom was tiny and the shower doors didn’t close properly which made water leak out onto the floor. Service was fine if not overly friendly.

We bookwd for 2 nights. First night the air conditioner wasn't working.We opened the windows but then it noisy...close the windows, it got hot. Therefore our sleep was interrupted and our stay was uncomfortable. Next day, we asked for a change of rooms or get the ac fixed. After we waited we were presented with a room..we just collected the keys and transfer our stuff and left as we had meetings to attend. We came back late and when we tried to sleep, the samething happened with ac. We give up as it was late. Luckily, the new room was facing the back, so it was less noisy and we were able.to get some breeze and some sleep to awaken at 5am to leave for another flight.

Zimmer renoviert - bis auf die Klimaanlage. Die funktionierte am Anfang gar nicht. Dann ließ sie sich weder verstellen noch abschalten. Lage gut, etwas laut. Für Paris empfehlenswert. Im Vergleich zu anderen Hotels recht gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis.

Bonjour, Plutot décevant. Très froid dans la chambre quand je suis arriéve le soir. Il y avait un chauffage mais il était éteint. Le temps que cela chauffe, cela a pris beaucoup de temps. De plus je n'ai pas eu d'eau chaude à mon arrivée. Du coup impossibilité de prendre une douche avec de l'eau froide. D'autant plus qu'il faisait déjà très froid dans la chambre. Je vous demande de voir avec l'hotel pour avoir une compensation

Very much a 'get what you pay for experience' - the price and location were both fantastic. We booked a double room and arrived late on our first night. When we got to our room (first floor) I was very unhappy after the busy day and travel. The room was very clean but absolutely tiny, with only a small space down one side of the double bed to manoeuvre. There was a cupboard on the left of the double bed by the head space which clearly housed a water pipe or similar - everytime someone flushed or used their bathroom we'd hear the water rush by our heads. The noise from above and behind due to the staircase was unbelievable. It was so tiny we couldn't even open the suitcase, and the decor was shabby and dated. The bathroom was like an airplane toilet, tiny and plastic. After the first night I complained and to their credit, reception were very quick to get us moved into another double room, on the second floor. What a difference! This room had a bit more space around the bed, the decor was modern and fresh and the bathroom was lovely. I appreciate the staff going out of their way but was shocked that you can pay the same rate and get a completely different room experience. Unfortunately the issues with noise were exactly the same even after the move. I wouldn't stay again but it was fine for 3 nights.

Worst hotel room, like a prison cell. No hot water.

We were pleased with our stay at this hotel. Everything was clean, and in a good neighborhood to walk to the metro, or get to anywhere else in Paris, the front desk clerk was so very helpful and gracious with all of our needs, we appreciated her smile and willingness to answer our many questions. We were able to leave our bags there before check-in the first day and after checking out the next day to explore more of Paris before leaving for the airport. This was a budget hotel that suited all of her needs.

Based on our initial impression, we wouldn’t have rated this hotel high at all, but we misjudged it. Since they were full, we weren’t able to get the room we booked the first night. The first room didn’t suit our needs and it was rather noisy. In fact, we hardly slept at all. That all changed the next night. The staff moved us to a different room the second night. It suited our needs perfectly, and was very quiet. We slept like babies. The property is old, but they strive to maintain what they have. There was a soft spot in the floor in our room. The first night, there were also several hairs on the bedding. They were not in the inside though - just on the outside. Other than that, both rooms we stayed in were very clean. There is an elevator, but it is very small. Just keep that in mind. The location is quite convenient to getting around in Paris. You can get breakfast there, but we didn’t eat there. There are plenty of restaurants within a block of the hotel. The staff was absolutely wonderful. They definitely strive hard to accommodate their guests needs and make their stay excellent. I can’t speak highly enough about them. They stored our luggage for us on the last day of our stay, which was very convenient for us. Upon first impression, we wouldn’t have recommended this hotel, but after that first night, we did a complete 180. We really enjoyed our stay there and can definitely recommend this hotel to other travelers.

I was there for a 3 day trip and just needed a room for myself to sleep. Though it wasn't very big, it was clean and exactly what I needed. Value was good for what I paid. I did want to write this review, however, because the one hotel staff (curly hair gentleman) was absolutely delightful! He was so friendly, and remembered my name. I would honestly stay here again just for the customer service. He was a gem! Location to the metro was also perfect and I was able to easily navigate around Paris.

The staff here was amazing! Every one of them was so nice and helpful. The room itself was very small but it was very clean and in good condition. We were rarely in the room so the size of it didn’t matter to us. The location was good in my opinion. There were 3 metros right next to us so travel was easy. There were also several restaurants and safe and grocery stores. It was a very lively area which made the experience so authentic and fun! With how lively it was outside though we couldn’t hear a thing in our rooms so that was nice! This hotel was a great stay especially for the price!

In the beginning I thought what a nice a place to stay !! But the last day the staff was extremely rude to me and my friend !! They was raciste toward us .. can you imagine a receptionist insulting us !! This people shouldn’t be doing customers service I’m really dissatisfied

This hotel was perfect for an affordable, family stay in a vibrant, central area of Paris. We had a quad room and it was more than satisfactory. Located at the rear it overlooked a lovely courtyards d we heard no street noise. Plenty of options nearby for cheap and cheerful breakfast and easy access to all public transport, Adam on reception was terrific and really friendly. He was great with the kids and helpful information. Definitely recommend!

For a budget friendly place it was just right for myself and my daughter. Close to lots and lots of restaurants and cafes, and an easy walk to all the metros. The front desk was staffed 24/7, which was nice to have someone to call on if we had questions or got stuck in the city and needed some information.

The hotel and room was everything we expected and more for such a reasonable price. Staff were excellent, they went over and above to ensure a great stay. The room’s shower was also great!

Selve værelset var fint, men som flere skriver er gardinerne for korte og der kommer derfor tidligt lys ind og lejlighederne overfor kan stadig se ind ad vinduet. Der blev gjort rent hver dag hvilket var fint, men de nye, rene håndklæder smider de bare ude på gulvet på badeværelset, hvilket er lidt mærkeligt. Man skal aflevere værelsesnøglen hver gang man forlader hotellet, hvilket er helt fint. Det der dog trækker rigtig meget ned i hele oplevelsen er, at de spørger aldrig om navn når man kommer tilbage og skal have udleveret nøglen. De udleverer den bare - de kan i princippet udlevere den til hvem som helst der vil ind på værelserne. På vores sidste nat på hotellet gik brandalarmen midt om natten. Der kom ingen information fra medarbejderne om det var falsk alarm eller om der var brand og vi skulle gå udenfor - det var meget utrygt at vide at hotellets medarbejdere ikke informerer hotellets gæster i sådanne situationer. Til sidst vil jeg nævne at hotellet ligger et virkelig godt sted med lækre restauranter og en virkelig god bager lige ved siden af, samt i gåafstand til en masse hyggelige områder. Alt i alt et fint hotel med god placering, desværre bare rigtig dårlig service og information fra medarbejderne i nogle ellers rimelig vigtige situationer.

Excelente ubicación, puedes ir caminando a muchos lugares y si no esta a un par de cuadras de la estación del metro, las personas en recepción son muy amables, regresarla sin pensarlo.

Great location, friendly staff, clean and comfortable room, would recommend. The only issue is that there is a night club downstairs, so very noisy on Friday and Saturday night. But if you have earplugs (you can buy at a pharmacy for €4), everything is fine. Once I got the earplugs, the stay was excellent.

Das Personal war nett, das Zimmer war okay, die Matratze war zu weich und zu den Seiten abschüssig, das Bett war zu schmal für zwei Personen. Das Hotel liegt direkt auf einer Partymeile. Wer nachts mit offenem Fenster schlafen möchte, braucht auf jeden Fall Ohrenstöpsel.

Moi et mon mari nous sommes allés au début du mois de janvier 2024 à l'hôtel Daval. Nous avons passé un bon moment. le personnel très gentil et serviable, le petit déjeuner très copieux, la chambre très propre. Nous remercions tout le personnel de l'hôtel. Nous recommanderons l'hôtel Daval à tout le monde pour des vacances à Paris

I would stay here again in a heart beat! Fabulous lively neighborhood, two nearby subway stations and bus huts, lots of restuarants to choose from. The room was lovely and quiet. I would have liked to have two extra pillows (there was one). The breakfast room was good with lots of goodies, although I did miss having a "coffee" machines.

I recommend requesting a room on the 4th floor facing the courtyard. If your room is facing the street, the noise of the street will bother you. The area is known to be quite rowdy and late night shenanigans. We had to change our room, after the second night because the sewer smell from the toilet was unbearable. The hotel offered no discount for the inconvenience of having to spend our time packing up our things and waiting several hours to be directed to another room. The hair dryer in the second room malfunctioned and the hotel offered no solution or discount. The rooms and bathrooms are clean but extremely small. Very minimal decor, nor comfort, no fridge, no coffee machine. It was absolutely overpriced and underwhelming. The staff however was exceptionally nice and helpful. One morning the hotel couldn’t prepare the breakfast and we had to wait 45 min, another day the milk was badly spoilt and they did offer a credit. The croissants are divine, it’s a reasonable $9 for breakfast, simple but good. The elevator fits maximum 2 slim people. The stairway and corridors are very very narrow and claustrophobic. Would I stay at Hotel Daval again? No, because the price is far too high for what they offer.

Clean and friendly hotel at an excellent location near the fun 11th arrondissement and Le Marais neighborhood. Room is small but spotless, and at an excellent price point for the neighborhood in the off season. Plenty of excellent patisseries and third wave coffee shops nearby, and a mix of funky and traditional eateries.

The hotel was in a great location with friendly staff. The rooms are clean and nice looking, with comfortable beds. The area around the hotel is very lively even late at night, with the typical great selection of Paris brasseries etc. and major tourist attractions are within easy reach via transit, rental bike, or even walking if you want to explore the Seine area. I would stay here again!
