I’m not sure how Expedia grades this a 5* hotel. It is a nice set of rooms above a café/brasserie but has none of the facilities that would merit 5*. it is a strong 4* at best based on the quality of the rooms. Otherwise it is like staying in a pension.

Wir sind im The Guesthouse gelandet, da wir total abgenervt von einem 3x so teuren Hotel waren. Und waren angenehm überrascht: Super guter Service. Alles sauber und bequem. Tolles Package mit Minibar und 4 Flaschen Wein inklusive. Frühstück, Käseplatte und Kuchen sehr lecker. Perfekte Lage! Vallet Parking, sogar sehr sehr günstig für Wien. 20€ / Tag weniger als im vorherigen Hotel.

The hotel location is excellent, quiet, right across from the Albertina and not far from the opera house, as well as other historical sites including the cathedral, State Hall, and great shopping. staffs were helpful, the premise was tidy and clean. The amenities were good, and very responsive service. The brasserie/restaurant downstairs is buzzy and nice dishes. Seems very popular among the locals.

This hotel offered excellent service right in the center of the inner city of Vienna. There were a number of Museums and other historic landmarks and buildings in very easy walking distance as well as shopping and dining. The hotel itself has an excellent restaurant as well. The hotel staff is also extremely friendly and helpful.

5つ星ホテルにしては、入り口のドアを開けると直ぐに小さなチェックインカウンターがあり、ロビーというものが存在しないのにはちょっと驚きでした。部屋はとても綺麗で広々として、水回りも文句なし。レストランは一つでしたが、スタッフの皆さんはとてもフレンドリーで食事も美味しかったです。国立歌劇場は目の前でしたし、ショッピングにも観光にもとても素晴らしいロケーションでした。ザッハトルテの本家、ホテルザッハも至近でしたよ。

You look one way and you see the opera. You look the other way and you see Saint Stephen's. The Albertina is directly across the street. Lots of great restaurants and easy access to public transportation. The breakfast was delicious we ate there every morning and we're told by a Viennese acquaintance that it's very popular with the locals. He was right. Will be back.

The room was AMAZING, spotless, great layout, beautiful fittings, sofa area, window seat. The coffee machine was just incredible!! We would very much recommend this hotel for a stay in the centre of Vienna. The staff were all so attentive and polite. We felt like royalty whilst we were there. We ate the most amazing meal in the restaurant. It was all just perfect.

The hotel was fantastic, really great staff, attentive and even gifted us a cake for my husband's birthday! Room was great, comfortable, spacious and clean. Location enabled us to walk to all of the main sights and shopping areas. Would definitely stay again.

The location and overall accommodation were good. However, the condition of the shower was unacceptable—it had built-up mold and was clearly neglected. Despite reporting the issue to management, allegedly it was cleaned, but the mold was not removed and no further action was taken, nor was any alternative accommodation offered. At checkout, the front desk staff deflected responsibility to housekeeping, without offering an apology or any form of compensation for such a disappointing and unhygienic experience.

Our room was very spacious, clean and full of unexpected perks. It had a lovely nook that overlooked the Opera house and the Albertina. Our child had a very fun surprise waiting for her on her bed that she loved. Staff was very helpful, and the restaurant downstairs was great for breakfast or a snack in the afternoon. Highly recommend!

The fridge was topped up on most accessions. Wine was not, soft drink and juice was. There is no kettle or ironing board in the room.

This hotel is absolutely fabulous. Rooms and the hotel in general are gorgeous and in perfect condition. The staff is attentive and gracious. The hotel just gives off a great vibe. Throw in the excellent restaurant and convenient location that is walking distance to nearly everything and you have a combination that's hard to beat. We will be back!

The Guesthouse is a wonderful hotel with beautiful rooms which are very comfortable, quiet and well appointed. The rooms have bean-to-cup coffee machines (amazing!) and complimentary items in the minibar. We loved the hand-written welcome note and little cakes left in the room on our arrival. The Guesthouse is very close to the Opera, palaces and museum area of Vienna and a 5 minute walk to St Stephen's Cathedral and the central shopping area. Breakfast is available in the cafe below and was wonderful, if a little pricey. This is a very popular place and has a welcoming atmosphere. We loved every minute of staying there and wouldn't hesitate to book again.

The room was clean and very sleek with a lot of nice amenities such as complimentary wine and beer in the mini fridge. Make sure to get a room with a view otherwise the window faces the adjacent building wall albeit with ivy growing on it.

We had high expectations for our one night stay which were unfortunately not met. The hotel is in an excellent location to explore the city, visually the room is beautiful and the shower was great. The free wine was also a pleasant surprise. However, the aircon simply isn’t good enough after a hot day glaring through the windows. Along with this, after a 30 degree day, the full wall length bathroom mirror is heated, acting as a giant radiator which is always on when the lights are on. This meant we had a very uncomfortable sleep. This was raised at check out and dealt with very graciously and professionally.

We were on the 5th floor and had a view of The Albertina with a lovely window seat. It was heaven! The staff at the hotel were extremely helpful and so kind. The hotel is walkable convenient to several museums (Albertina, Hofburg, Spanish Riding School, Imperial Crypt) and to many cafes and restaurants and shopping. They are also close to transportation: subways and trams. We took the train from Salzburg to Vienna, so we hopped on the underground from the train station which brought us about 13 minutes from the hotel. We stayed 3 amazing nights. My only comment would be the confusion about our ride to the airport. We scheduled one when we checked in and when we checked the night before we were to depart, they didn’t have a record of it. So we scheduled it again. Wouldn’t have been a big deal except we needed to leave for the airport at 4:30 a.m. since our flight was at 7:30 and it is a half hour drive to the airport. It was taken care of and we had a lovely ride to the airport. If we ever visit Vienna again, we will definitely make this our home away from home.

Bellhop , housekeeper and the guy who young man who checked us on and the man who checked us out were very polite , however everyone else at the counter when we walked in or out ( women ) didn’t even look Up To say hello , good night or anything. The hotel was fantastic, really great staff, attentive and even gifted us a cake for my husband's birthday! Room was great, comfortable, spacious and clean. Location enabled us to walk to all of the main sights and shopping areas. Would definitely stay again.

The location and overall accommodation were good. However, the condition of the shower was unacceptable—it had built-up mold and was clearly neglected. Despite reporting the issue to management, allegedly it was cleaned, but the mold was not removed and no further action was taken, nor was any alternative accommodation offered. At checkout, the front desk staff deflected responsibility to housekeeping, without offering an apology or any form of compensation for such a disappointing and unhygienic experience.

The check in experience was the worst of any of the six hotels we checked in on this trip. Hotel not prepared. Rooms not ready till 4 rven after initial promise of rooms ready by 3. Fromt end staff and managemente did not take responsibulit and maybe help cleaning staff in getting rooms ready. Excuses were lame for rooks not ready and guests arriving later got rooms earlier.

Great hotel room and we were shocked by the size and all the features. We had a slight issue with the TV but they helped us on that and overall the experience was a good one. For hotels in Europe I highly recommend this one an I have been there quite a bit. This is large, comfortable, and has good staff. Also the perfect location and I mean perfect as you are close to the sites in the north and south of you and it's in a nice square. Very good.

Lots of great restaurants and easy access to public transportation. The breakfast was delicious we ate there every morning and we're told by a Viennese acquaintance that it's very popular with the locals. He was right. Will be back.

The Guesthouse is a wonderful hotel with beautiful rooms which are very comfortable, quiet and well appointed. The rooms have bean-to-cup coffee machines (amazing!) and complimentary items in the minibar. We loved the hand-written welcome note and little cakes left in the room on our arrival. The Guesthouse is very close to the Opera, palaces and museum area of Vienna and a 5 minute walk to St Stephen's Cathedral and the central shopping area. Breakfast is available in the cafe below and was wonderful, if a little pricey. This is a very popular place and has a welcoming atmosphere. We loved every minute of staying there and wouldn't hesitate to book again.

Overall lovely stay, front desk very friendly, rooms well appointed however as with any European hotel, winter and summer AC system, room can't get cold in winter. you must make reservations in the restaurant for breakfast this was a surprise to me as I didn't know. amazing location.

The room was AMAZING, spotless, great layout, beautiful fittings, sofa area, window seat. The coffee machine was just incredible!! We would very much recommend this hotel for a stay in the centre of Vienna. The staff were all so attentive and polite. We felt like royalty whilst we were there. We ate the most amazing meal in the restaurant. It was all just perfect.

This hotel offered excellent service right in the center of the inner city of Vienna. There were a number of Museums and other historic landmarks and buildings in very easy walking distance as well as shopping and dining. The hotel itself has an excellent restaurant as well. My only negatives is the room is advertised as having an opera view, and it doesn’t. The view is very nice, overlooking a tiny park with trees that block the view. Also their website advertises Bang & Olufsen audio equipment, but this doesn’t exist, annoyingly I left my Bluetooth speaker at home.
