Cute no muss / no fuss motel in Paso Robles within walking distance to downtown w/ shops, art galleries, and restaurants. Hotel has a pool, free guest parking. Rooms have coffee maker, small refrigerator, air, Wi-Fi. Not far from mid state fairgrounds and Vina Robles amphitheater.

I slept better here than I do at home. Premises are terrific and it is hard to describe how at home I felt. It is quiet, each room has a reserved parking spot in front of each room. There is a refrigerator, coffee maker, two chairs, vanity outside of bathroom, closet behind vanish everything can be out away, dresser, bedside table, very roomy.

If you want a clean comfy no frills home base that’s a 2 minute walk to downtown you can’t do better than Melody Ranch. The vintage room was clean and comfy. The pool was perfect for a quick dip. The staff was very friendly.

Wonderful family owned motel. Rooms are comfortable. Bathroom is outdated. Sink and shower are small but everything works fine. Lacking outlets at the desk area as well as the rest of the room. Always feel welcome when we stay here. Within walking distance for food. Nice quiet area. Reserved parking for your room.

We love 50s-60s motels, because that is the era in which we grew up. The retro tile bathroom and exterior were very nicely done. The pool looked very clean. Would definitely stay there again.

The spot was clean and had a nice charm to it! We enjoyed the pool. The beds are comfortable. The spot is walking distance to the park and stores and restaurants nearby. I recommend!

We’re definitely returning to the Melody Ranch Motel. The service was great and personal. The room and grounds are clean, quaint, and well-kept. It is nestled in a prime location in Paso Robles: near restaurants, coffee, gas stations, grocery stores, bakery & doughnuts, and one-of-a-kind shopping. I always enjoy staying here. Yes, it’s an older motel, but it is VERY nice. Everything is always clean and in great condition. It’s family run, and that really makes a noticeable difference. They take a great deal of pride in the upkeep and cleanliness of the motel. Also, everyone working there is very friendly and helpful. Melody Ranch is a short block and a half from the town square. Upon arriving, I had no need to drive anywhere. An extra special bonus feature is it’s literally right next door to one of my favorite restaurants! You won’t regret giving this little gem a try!

The staff was quite fiendly and helpful. I did encounter a water bug in the bathroom. it was a big size cockroach. Other than that, it was convenient and clean. I requested an iron and an ironing board and it was provided for me before my arrival. The staff was polite and I liked how they gave me a call before my arrival to confirm my stay. Very nice and friendly staff. I would stay here again in the future.

Friendly staff and comfortable bed. It's an older motel but well maintained and family owned. Paso has turned into a bar scene, so the neighbors were a bit noisy when they stumbled in from the bars at 1:30 in the morning, but it could happen anywhere.

It’s a classic roadside motel from the 1940’s-1950’s, which I like. It’s near restaurants and shops. But limited outlets for charging devices, no outlet in bathroom for hair dryer or other tools, troublesome wi-if connection. Only enough coffee for 1 cup!!!!!

Very quaint and feels like a retro place. The room was clean and bed comfortable, however it could use a little updating. There was no usb port and there was a little rust in the bathroom sink. The best part was the friendliest and most accommodating desk clerk I’ve encountered. I was in town for a wedding and asked for an early check in which was met with a smiling “oh sure!” Even though it’s not the fanciest place, it was so nice to experience such friendly customer service. I would stay there again.

Check-in was easy; Room very clean; A/C in a peculiar place, a bit difficult to see & access controls - but it cooled room okay; Disappointed there wasn’t a microwave; Toilet didn’t seem to flush fully a few times; Bed was quite comfortable. For the price the room was quite nice.

For better or worse, this motel is a well preserved throwback to the 70s. Pros: very clean, super convenient to downtown shops/restaurants (walkable), fridge and coffee maker, relatively inexpensive, assigned parking spot, really sweet checkin staff. Cons: very dated interior (but one might enjoy the authenticity), small room (but as a group of three in a double we didn't find it a problem), no microwave, three fire trucks with sirens went by in one night.

It was generally very nice. The room and property well kept, fast wifi, convenient socket locations. But the mattress was punishing. As someone with a bad back it made for a bad night

Although older this property is very well kept. The bed was very comfortable. It was quiet and you couldn't hear the noise from your neighbors. Plus very conveniently located. It was less tan aten minute walk to restaurants and shops.

For a motor lodge, it was quite nice. Room is small but clean and well maintained. The pool looked well maintained, too. Front desk was very friendly. But, remember, it’s an older motor lodge so don’t expect a 3 star hotel. Location is great if you want to be near restaurants and the downtown area.

So actually, we had to cancel our stay last minute and it was nonrefundable. However, the front desk was able to rent the room out and refund us in full unbelievable service.

Check in was easy and staff was helpful, room was clean and bed comfortable! Asked for a late check out but wasn't able to get that ! Was told there was a smoking area out by the pool however it didn't help much as it rained the entire time, so I didn't want to get soaked going out to the pool area. Overall, a good stay with a fantastic location to downtown Paso . Friendly staff !!

A wonderful old school motel! Everything was in very good condition and spotlessly clean. Nice and quiet too! The lady at the front desk was amazing. She offered great suggestions about what to do, in the area, and what was happening in town that weekend.

Very very nice people. We stay often, they try to get us our favorite room when possible. 1 block to the square downtown. Park in front of your room. Paso is expensive, Melody Ranch is not. The very best value .
