Made to feel very welcome straight away- almost a home from home - beautiful house with loads of character and some very interesting history- absolutely beautiful grounds -our apartment was perfect-extremely comfortable bed- very spacious but also cosy- the owner went above and beyond to make us comfortable and warm - the only downside was we only stayed 1 night ! Really wish we could have stayed longer and would love to visit again to see the family continue to renovate this beautiful home- Thank you so much x

What a fabulous place, and so good that the dog is allowed too. The garden was beautiful and the view was equally as amazing. Breakfast was very good though self service this works well. Gorgeous building but it could do with some tlc. Our room was good but had to walk down the hall to use the bathroom.. We would return here if we are in the area again. But would be nice to see some improvements to the rooms and interior of the building. Staff very friendly.

A warm welcome with clear explanation on access. It’s not a manned reception so you’ll need the code. Lovely place and in the process of renovation which I knew before booking. Feels like you’re in the countryside but very close to Coventry, 10 mins to CBS Arena in taxi. Recommended.

Breakfast was available all day just help yourself-very good variety. Definitely pet friendly. Helpful owner-she carried baby up the 2 flights of stairs! Lovely surroundings for a short walk and very close to Coventry and Birmingham. Will return for sure and keep in mind if visiting the NEC.

Property an old care home being converted so areas a bit messy but understand the need to keep it going to fund the renovation. Seperate bathroom we are not used to but was fine. Rooms and bathrooms very clean but in need of updating. Very welcoming host, couldn't really expect more. Help yourself breakfast gave it a homely feel.

Very friendly and helpful check in. The property is a listed building and has a history detailed in the rooms. It is being slowly modenised and hopefully will retain its charm. Currently it does not have en-suite rooms which will put some off no doubt and the breakfast is completely self service right down to boiling your own eggs if you want them and loading the dishwasher when done. Gluten free cereal was among the multiple choices but no GF bread for some toast which was a shame. I enjoyed my overnight stay and would happily stay again should I be in the area as there was peace and quiet in secluded grounds.

A unique and quaint property. Owners have a long history with owning the beautiful lodge. Perfect for what we needed (1 might stop over). Would love to go back once fully renovated as a wedding venue. It has so much potential and I wish them all the best. Quirky fact - Charles Dickens stayed here back in his heyday!

A good selection left out for a continental breakfast. Room was comfortable and clean. Excellent grounds for walking the dogs. Staff were very friendly and helpful. My stay was self check in as I had a late arrival but they were on hand to guide me.

I didn’t stay, I left and went to another hotel. The sheets were used, the bathroom was shared, the shower had hair balls in it, the bath was dirty, toilet not flushed. I’d seen enough and left. Way way over priced for what was offered, needs to be in the £30 section. Business solo traveller, I can’t turn up for a meeting the next day not having showered and what issues am I going to have after sleeping in a strangers bed. I think this review reflects what they offered.

Well what can i say absolutely fantastic hosts and lovely clean room in a lovely location, we found this lovely property as a last minute stay as we were visiting elderly relatives in george elliot hospital nuneaton , we were made to feel completely at home as soon as we stepped though the door such an amazing property and will be even better when the lovely owners have finished renovating would definitely visit again .

Breakfast was available all day just help yourself-very good variety. Definitely pet friendly. Helpful owner-she carried baby up the 2 flights of stairs! Lovely surroundings for a short walk and very close to Coventry and Birmingham. Will return for sure and keep in mind if visiting the NEC.

Very friendly and helpful check in. The property is a listed building and has a history detailed in the rooms. It is being slowly modenised and hopefully will retain its charm. Currently it does not have en-suite rooms which will put some off no doubt and the breakfast is completely self service right down to boiling your own eggs if you want them and loading the dishwasher when done. Gluten free cereal was among the multiple choices but no GF bread for some toast which was a shame. I enjoyed my overnight stay and would happily stay again should I be in the area as there was peace and quiet in secluded grounds.

This property surpassed expectations. The host met us on arrival, was very friendly and provided us with lots of recommendations for places for food. The bed was extremely comfortable and bedding lovely! The choice of food available for breakfast was amazing, I’ve never seen a continental breakfast set up like it. Unfortunately we were in the area for a poker tournament, so didn’t get the chance to spend a lot of time at the property, but we will definitely be returning should we visit the area again!

A good selection left out for a continental breakfast. Room was comfortable and clean. Excellent grounds for walking the dogs. Staff were very friendly and helpful. My stay was self check in as I had a late arrival but they were on hand to guide me.
