The front desk staff were excellent. The closeness to the Royal Mile was good but many homeless people right outside the front of the hotel. Our room was clean but had a strong musty small the the bottom of the bathroom door had old water damage which may have contributed to the musty smell. Ate in the restaurant for dinner one night and it was not good. I ordered a Mediterranean salad with chicken. The chicken was over cooked and super dry that it was hard to chew. They dumped a whole carton of feta cheese on it which did not taste right. I ended up in the bathroom all night.
