Pros: Loved the breakfast options each morning. Free coffee and water all day is a plus. Fast check-in and check-out. Free bag check in case room isn't ready. Parking available down same side of street. All staff members encountered were friendly. Rooftop area clean and peaceful. Spacious, clean room with floor to ceiling windows. Hotel is walking distance to a variety of things in midtown: Empire State Building, Hudson Yards, Times Square, MSG, Macy's. Cons: Noises within room (refrigerator and vent high pitch squeal and vibrating).

Hotel was well situated near Time Square. Room was clean and equipped with a mini kitchen. Laundry services are also available, which is nice. Breakfast had several options including eggs, turkey bacon, waffles, potato wedges, toast and bagels and all that good stuff. Breakfast was a frenzy in the morning, just because there are a lot of guests in the hotel. The staff tried to maintain the buffet stocked and coffee refilled, but they struggled. The staff in the breakfast room were very nice and patient, even though guests can be very rude and demanding. There is an outdoor space for breakfast which was great. Elevators, 3 of them, weren't bad at all. There was a wait during rush hour, but no complaints. Roof top sitting area on the 22nd floor was a nice place to view the city and just chill out. You can actually see the Edge Observatory, which was a bonus. I read some reviews of homeless people at the corner of 8th and 37th, which is true, but they're on many streets in NYC and they don't bother anyone. Don't let this stop you from booking this hotel. The front desk staff was hit and miss depending on who you dealt with. The hero for our stay was the Front Office Operations Manager - Miguel! He looks to be a senior at the hotel and was fantastic in every way. Kudos Miguel! We will definitely book this hotel next time we are in the big apple!

We have stayed there several times for the US Open Tennis. The bonus is it is very close to everything, such as Times Square, Penn Station, The Highline, and Central Park. It is also nice to have the kitchenette. The rooms are a good size as well. The biggest downfall is there is very limited seating at breakfast, it is very crowded and the menu is not impressive. The staff were not very helpful with refilling coffee, and helping people get seated. The Elevators are always busy.

The staff were friendly and parking was 55 with validation on same block. This was a decent option to get to Citi field on 7 subway line a few minutes walk to Times sq (or LiRR). Nice rooftop to bring your own food and enjoy views. Good option for 5 people traveling if 2 share beds with pull out couch

Over all the property was good. The elevators are always slow and busy during the first part of everyday. Ice machine was out on our floor, had to go to several floors to find a working one. It was overall a good stay, and close to Penn Station. I would recommend it for sure, breakfast everyday was ok and for sure busy. It sure saves you a lot of money!!! I would stay again!!!

Location is in the garment district. Quite a few unhoused people on this street but they didnt bother us. Close to Penn Station and walkable to Times Square and Herald's Square. Breakfast was good. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooftop seating was nice. Would recommend and return.

The property itself was clean and modern. The room was larger than expected. It’s impossible to get an elevator if you’re staying on the middle floors and we had to walk down 7 flights of stairs a few times. Doing this with young children is quite inconvenient and exhausting when you’re carrying a stroller and bags. The staff are less than helpful and I can’t say that we interacted with anyone who seemed to like working there or had a care in the world about providing a pleasant experience. Outside of the property is scattered with homeless people which did not make us feel safe at all even during day light hours. Definitely would not stay here again.

My daughter and I went for her spring break. We enjoyed ourselves very much. We stayed here about 6 or 7 years ago and we like how close it is to Penn Station so that's why we stayed here again. We loved our city view room. We weren't in the room much but when we were, we loved looking out the window at the Empire State Building. We enjoyed the terrace on the 22nd floor. The one thing I will say (and this was the same 6 or 7 years ago), the elevators need to be looked at. We were on the 21st floor and as many times as we hit the down button, the elevator would bypass our floor all the time. There were times when we waited 15 minutes for the elevator to come to our floor. I've seen a lot of complaints about it and something really needs to be done. If we were on the 2nd or 3rd floor, I would have just used the stairs but not 21 floors. The hot breakfast was good and satisfying. We would stay again in the future. Felt safe and comfortable (but please get the elevators fixed).

There was trash in the bathroom and the soap had brown scum on it as it was used! Fridge handles were filthy. This begs the question whether any of the rest of the room was cleaned from bedding to dishes.

We found the hotel to be very clean and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We had 5 guest so we had a room with a fold out twin size sleeper. My 18 year old slept on it and the mattress was very bad. After the first night, I text the help number and they had a topper brought to our room within 15 mins. The lobby was very welcoming and my husband enjoyed watching the football games there. The breakfast was fine and you can certainly find something you will eat. I really liked that they had coffee, hot tea and water available at all times.

It was alright. Typical TINY NYC hotel room. Not really clean - the pull out bed had stains on the cushions, we had ripped sheets, the dishes in the cabinet had food (a lot) on them but were put away anyway (gross). Room was an efficiency but the two pans available couldn’t both fit on the two burner cooktop at the same time. Took 35 minutes to boil a pan of water. Neither pan fits in the tiny sink, but there is a dishwasher. In the first few days (during the week), we called 5-6 times to request things like paper towels and toilet paper and they never showed up. Staff was super nice. Can’t beat the location.

The proporty is well located in midtown, staff are polite and friendly. Really good that you can take food from breakfast, boxes are even provided. Bed was great, large and really comfy after a day exploring. Windows keep all but the loudest sirens out and hotel is generally quiet by 10pm. Only real noise came intermittently from the rooms fridge and the aircon vent on landing that pointed at our door but using the spare blanket to cover the bottom of the door cut the sound down. Enough kitchen tools to get by making own food and drinks, lobby has freely available tea, coffee and chilled water amd a range of tvs. Ideal for a visit to NY and we stayed for 9 nights very comfortably. Would recommend and stay again

It was just okay. Staff was friendly. Beds were not comfortable, pillows were flat. The shower was terrible! No water pressure at all. We told the front desk about it & they said they fixed it, but there was no change. It took twice as long to shower & wash my hair. Not enough electrical outlets. The free breakfast was not very good. If you stick with yogurt, cereal, & muffins or toast, it was okay. But the hot items were terrible. The coffee was mediocre. Overall, it was the worst hotel stay I’ve ever experienced for over $400 a night. Also, there were several homeless people that were usually on the sidewalk right outside the hotel. One of them peed on the sidewalk right in front of us on the afternoon we arrived. New York was so much fun to visit, but if I return, I’ll gladly pay more to stay at a safer, nicer hotel. The location was pretty good & there is a nice rooftop area with a view.

We have stayed at this hotel before, and generally we were pretty happy with our stay this time. We like having free wi-if, and we especially enjoyed the free breakfast. What we did NOT like is being solicited 3 different times in the lobby, in the space of 10 minutes, while waiting for relatives to arrive. The solicitation was for opportunities to earn chances to stay at other Hilton hotels throughout the country. We might seriously reconsider staying at this hotel again because of this. We would probably prefer to stay at the Courtyard by Marriott across the street.

Very spacious and nice place. Front desk person, Donnovan, was absolutely amazing. We spoke multiple times about early check-in, and my daughters birthday. He arranged everything and even had a birthday goody bag in the room. Very friendly staff, clean. Good breakfast included. Great location. Will definitely stay here again.

This is a very cozy hotel with a lot of amenities; however, having Hilton agents in the lobby who were advertising timeshares was not expected, and felt uncomfortable. The staff here is exceptional, and incredibly customer service-oriented. Hats off to GiGi in particular, who made it easy for us to make unexpected changes to our reservation, and truly made my day with her helpful and friendly approach. The rooms are clean and well-appointed for making your stay comfortable (Wood floors! Extra towel hooks! Mini kitchen with cookware! Large desk!), and the location is near lots of trains and walking distance from Broadway. Perfect for any vacation!

Check in was poor. At 4 PM (an hour after check-in time) we were told it would be five minutes. Half an hour later we were told our room was ready. My children also do not consider chicken fajitas to be breakfast food. The Honey Nut Cheerios were improperly labeled as regular Cheerios, which certainly could cause concerns for those with allergies. My biggest complaint was the complete lack of communication between housekeeping and the front desk. I requested a bed linen change twice in the morning on days that were not my housekeeping days through the text concierge. Both times this was confirmed and I was told it was no problem. Arriving back in my room with tired children and dirty linens TWICE after requesting it 12 hours earlier was not acceptable. The second time it happened and I reported it to the front desk via the text app, they couldn't even be bothered to respond. So...if I have a similarly priced option in the future, I would stay elsewhere based just on this alone.

Good location for easy walkable access to Penn Station, Times Square, Highline etc. Microwave, coffee maker, fridge freezer in the room meant we could have cold drinks and snacks in the room. Decent breakfast each morning. Card access to use the lift for additional safety. No resort fees!

The hotel itself was good, breakfast is provided which is handy. We took breakfast to the room as the dining area was crowded and too busy in the morning. Staff were helpful. The location of the hotel is good in terms of accessing the subway, Times Square, Chelsea, Hudson Yard etc. However, the street the hotel is on now has a needle exchange/support service located across from it and therefore we found that there was a lot of homeless people and people with mental health/addiction issues on the street. Not much the hotel can do about this but it’s not ideal when travelling with kids.

I’ve stayed at many Hilton properties but this one was the worst. Drug addicts all along the hotel route which was scary at night because you would see them injecting themselves. The mattresses in the room were horrible, extremely lumpy and noisy springs. Most staff we encountered were not very friendly. I would never stay there again.

Extremely Well placed for sightseeing the whole of New York. If you don’t mind walking you can access everything from Central Park to the south of the island on foot. Close to the Hudson River for the man made beaches, high line walk or the food hall in the piers.

Good location, 13 minute walking distance to Times Square. Two different parking lots on the street-one offers discount rates if staying at hotel (took $10 off our rate) charged us $75 because we had an SUV $65 with discount or else it would have been $45. Free breakfast in the morning was nice but with limited options (pancakes, corned beef and hash, hash browns and eggs, cereal, yogurt) Rooms were pretty spacious considering it’s NYC. Rooftop Terrace is nice with a beautiful view of the city lit up at night. Free coffee and hot cocoa in the lobby. I would stay here again

We didn't like the breakfast at all, poor choice, low quality, always the same. Some products were inedible such as the turkey bacon, or the mini burgers... the sweet part was practically absent, the savory part was not received... the coffee was terrible. Little choice of fruit. We often saw customers going to buy coffee from Starbucks to consume it in the hotel. Few seats for the number of rooms. The hotel is a 15 minute walk from Time Square, 5 minutes from Medison Square Garden and 20 minutes from the Empire. However the street where the hotel is located is very neglected and dirty. We happened to see some stragglers doing heroin by shooting themselves in the legs in broad daylight, in front of the hotel. Overall it doesn't deserve the price we paid.

Every Wednesday they had reception in the evening for all the guests with fruits/snacks/soups/refresher drinks, etc. The breakfast was great every morning with a lot of variety every day and also boxes to take along for the day. The best place we have ever stayed in NYC. Close to everything but the hotel is wonderful. Everyone goes out of their way to help you and everyone is so friendly. I requested a bed linen change twice in the morning on days that were not my housekeeping days through the text concierge. Both times this was confirmed and I was told it was no problem. Arriving back in my room with tired children and dirty linens TWICE after requesting it 12 hours earlier was not acceptable. The second time it happened and I reported it to the front desk via the text app, they couldn't even be bothered to respond. So...if I have a similarly priced option in the future, I would stay elsewhere based just on this alone.
