Hotel Retro

I'm going to start with the negatives so I can leave in a positive note - My room had to be changed because the air-conditioning didn't work. The reception asked "are you actually hot" I guess hoping I'd leave it. The room was not soundproofed at all. First off, you have to slam doors to be able to shut them. (Sorry other guests) And there was a party in the room next to me. I felt like I was there too. My friends also had to change rooms because it was not cleaned after previous guests. And we had arrived around 4, way past check in time. The snack machine was almost empty. There are no amenities in the rooms except 1 soap dispenser outside of the shower for hand wash, body wash and shampoo all in one. But you have to get out of the shower to reach it. Also, no hooks in the bathroom to hang towels and the radiator was actually in the shower. If it was on and hot, you could burn yourself. When I asked reception why so much was not correct for us, he said "we were very busy on the weekend." I guess week guests aren't important? The rooms and shared spaces all looked really tired. The area is pretty rough so I don't recommend walking from Nord Station to the hotel, especially with children given the sights they may see of adults only activities. On the plus side Bed was comfortable Bathroom was clean The hotel over the road has a great lounge / bar / restaurant we hung out in when we needed that kind of space. TBH we probably should have stayed there

Another small hotel room in a European capital. Genius marketing reps sure know how to make a room look bigger. I will try not to be too critical because this is widely considered "typical", yet I feel certain basic minimums must be met. A very narrow area separated one side of the room from the other, while you must avoid hitting the TV on the wall while moving from side to side. Given the small bathroom, please consider moving the shower door to the other side. A "no-brainer". Also, the bathroom wall on the mirror side was unfinished. Such an easy fix that I can't understand why it was left that way. The bathroom fan wasn't working. The curtain was broken. It fell right off when I tried to open it, so the sun woke me up in the morning. Dirty floors, especially in the corners. One evening the window was left open by the staff, despite there being air conditioning. Why? Otherwise the fridge and WiFi worked.

The position is wonderful: on the way to get to the city center, the metro just around the corner and supermarkets every step. The rooms are being renewated: we found one incredibly comfortable and large.

Location- all good spots could be easily reached by walking

The shower drain was clogged so the water was overflowing in the bathroom when I showered. Otherwise good quality for the price you pay!
