Hands down the best place we could have landed after stressful theft which required us to be at the U.S. Embassy at 7am. Jorge at the front desk was our savior, a calm presence who helped print all our paperwork and just be a kind heart in the face of difficult circumstances. This is a budget hotel so certainly not luxe but everything was fine. Bed comfortable enough, good a/c, coffee in room and full breakfast included, free secure parking. Only negative was water never really gets hot but minor issue. Overall this over delivered on expectations given such a good price and Jorge’s great service.

We arrived from the airport VERY late, and the hotel had multiple staff waiting for us to help us park and to check us in. I am extremely grateful for this attention. We were tired, in a new place, and it was comforting to be welcomed in at such a late hour.

This is a gem. Absolutely love this hotel. Staff is exceptional. There is a gentleman receptionist named Jorge who is hands down amazing hospitality. Breakfast is amazing. Restaurant has a delicious menu. Gym facility is top notch with a great view. Will stay here again in a heartbeat.

The hotel was very nice and clean, and well maintained. The only drawback was that they lock the hotel doors at night and the front desk isn't always staffed, so guests may become locked inside the hotel. This isn't safe, and would be illegal in many other countries.

Lovely property and restaurant. View from the gym was spectacular. Easy to from here to book a tour and or go to the center of the city. The restaurant has some good food and a costa rican daily breakfast. Drinks are amazing. Walkable distance to US embassy and Savana park. On the way check out the Bolivian empanadas shop nearby.

The place is clean, well maintained and the personnel is very kind and helpful at the front desk. In the restaurant area English level is very limited but the service is still good. I have a few suggestions that may help the hotel, some I have already verbally made to Lucy, the manager: 1) the rooms need an ironing board, 2) Bathroom need skin lotion, 3) warn customers that rooms have no refrigerator but can be obtained if requested 4) place in the rooms a list of useful numbers and guided tours organizers contacts numbers, 5) how to call and numbers of emergency medical services, even room service number. 6) place a restaurant menu in the room with open-close schedule. Given the quality- price ratio, this is a great place, I would without hesitation go back there again and again! I strongly recommend the place assuming my suggestions will be addressed by my next trip, soon. NB: Some current construction work on the 4th floor, without being a nuisance can at times be disturbing but overall the place is quiet and Zen.

Hotel looks Nice and has modern look and feel at the lobby and reception. The room itself looked a bit older the same for the bathroom and the dirty showerhead. The check-in employee was not that friendly, but during check out we had a positive and friendly employee.

Great, well appointed hotel with clean rooms and very friendly, helpful staff. Jorge at the front desk was extremely courteous and helpful. With us not knowing the area Jorge went out of his way to provide us with a map and recommendations of areas to go in the downtown area.

Yes the breakfast is excellent quality and value. Room is very nice, clean and modern. My only issue was the shower water temperature — when you put it on the warm setting it fluctuates on its own between scalding hot and freezing cold

Staff can’t be faulted but room has no window- no forget- no coffee making facility- bed linen was sprayed with Fabreze( actually saw it on the ladies cleaning cart) and I got a full blown sinus reaction to it

The hotel is located on a very busy and noisy road. We were in room 101, located on the first level and facing the road. San Jose is known for its crazy traffic and we could hear trucks, motorcycles roaring past all night. Unfortunately we did not gef any sleep that night. Because of its close proximity to the road it should be designated as an office or storage space, not a hotel room. The noise ruined our stay which is unfortunate because the rest of the hotel was fairly nice. As soon as we arrived an employee helped us park. The front desk employee was very nice and professional. We had dinner at their restaurant, chinese food, my wife is vegan and we were pleased that they had vegetarian and vegan options. The included breakfast was also very good. It was buffet style, but an employee served you the main courses. I find people's behavior at buffets a little disgusting at times, so it was alittlee more sanitary to be served by an emplyee. Others complained that the food was cold, but we thought it was good. Again, there were options for a vegan and beans, plantain, fruit etc..

The front desk staff was amazing!! I was injured in an accident with multiple broken bones and unable to leave the room. The staff went out of their way to accommodate with calling every morning to ask if i wanted breakfast brought up to me, and making sure i was comfortable. The hotel is beautiful and the restaurant is delicious!! I would stay here again!!

They gave me a room without a window when ı arrived. I had breathing problems during the night as there was no air in the room and ı could not sleep at all. The owner of the hotel changed my room the next day but she had my credit card copied on my first check in. Sye said every hotel does in the country but was not true. She blocked my credit card when ı wanted to buy one more night on hotels.Com. She wanted me to pay more than on hotels.com. She was not kind enough to compensate on my first night. She was not fair. I will not recommend this to anyone as the owner is a way far from human politeness and human connection. She had poverty consciousness and making more than making her quests stay comfortable. The staff was excellent but they had nothing to do with the policy of the management. I appreciate the receptionist jorhe to help me and alş other staff, they were kind and sincere.

I can not praise this hotel enough! The staff were amazing. so helpful and mostly spoke great English. For the price, the room was fantastic value. I had to extend my stay and was bumped up to an executive room, only one available at the time. they gave me a great discount on it. The inclusive breakfast was very good with a wide veriety of choices including eggs,meat, potatoes plantains, fruit selection, cerials and plenty of fresh bread, coffee, juice. Again all the service staff were very friendly. The breakfast area also served as a restaurant open to the public for lunch and dinner. There was alot of chinese type food as well as traditional type meals. I tried many of them while I was there and was pleased each time, both with the quality, price and amount of food. The interior of the hotel was very clean and very modern in a tasteful way. Location wise, it was about a 20 - 30 minute taxi ride from the main San Jose airport. Very good Uber services to all of the malls and parks etc.. I don't think I paid over $10 for any of those rides. If I ever get to go back to San Jose, this is where I will be staying! Thanks agaion to all the kind and helpful staff!
