I'm a return traveller to the Boomerang Hotel. I love the good value, no-frills clean tidiness of the rooms and the kids love the pool. The cleaning staff are so kind and helpful, and the included continental breakfast is good too.

This hotel was so disappointing, it desperately needs maintenance on the rooms, the reception and the pool. There were so many things wrong with the room, the shower head wouldn’t stay up and the shower leaked out the door. The carpet in-front of the bathroom was always wet and there was mould on the archway. The hand rail in the bathroom had been stolen so there was no where to hang the towels. The tv was playing up and so we couldn’t change the channel. There was no phone in the room to call reception for help and when you went to reception there was no one there. The walls were grubby with marks all over them and there was a sign telling you not to put anything but water in the kettle. It just felt like a half way house that no one had looked after for a very long time. The pool was half empty and had a funky smell. Our room was out the back next to the bws and it was so noisy all night. The walls must have super thin as you can hear everything. Had I done more research I wouldn’t have booked this hotel.

Easy to book. Parking outside my room. Breakfast either in the dining room or as I did a prepaid. Very good sized room. Quiet. Bistro a bit overpriced but plenty of choice for meals in the same block. Has a heated in door pool.

It's a great one stop shop with good rooms, great dining, heated indoor pool and free breakfast. We do a mini break at the Boomerang. The staff are lovely, and the cocktails are reasonably priced and really good. What more could you ask for?

Front and back of room had gravel. Gravel was very noisy - could not close windows in bathrooms, so whenever someone was back there it was very loud. Gravel was also tracked into the room very easily, had to wear shoes just to go to the car - they have to clean this every time.... why the gravel??

I think the current rating of 3.9 is about right. The hotel is very old, but the linen and towels are surprisingly crispy clean. One area that requires immediate attention is the male toilet near the bistro area and the function room. The plumbing is not working correctly and all the mess is on the floor. People stand on this mess and carry it around the toilet. The carpet near the toilet door is all stained through with this mess, the smell is unbearable, and it carries through to the dining area, which is quite unpleasant

We requested for a change in room and they exchanged it with no extra charge. The place when we arrived was like the displayed. When checked of the cleanliness of the bed; we discovered that one of the pillow had multiple blood stained on it. The bed was too soft to our liking. It felt like a waterbed when the other person moved around. Don't know how earwig got into the room. We found one crawling near my husband's ear, luckly he felt it and squashed it. We found multiple earwigs in the showers and the bathroom. Overall not a great stay.

The motel overall is a nice overnight stopover. Generally very clean, staff are fantastic. Bed was comfy, the continental breakfast, albeit barebone but was a nice addition. Things to lookout for: - The pub had loud music playing until late night (around 11pm), so this is something to consider (it may only be there on Friday nights) Specific to our experience: - Unfortunately, the kitchen missed our order and we had to wait a long time for our food (more than 45mins) - our room was infested with crickets, chirping away and flying around... I managed to kill 3 of the large ones. The staff were kind enough to lend us a bodyguard spray which did managed to calm down the insects a bit, but still woke up to chirping sound early morning... This could possibly be an isolated incident but still was a let down right at the start of our long road trip. Thanks to the staff who were friendly and kind for their help. Hopefully next time we get a better room.

Just off the highway but its hidden from the road. Otherwise its a good location. The staff were helpful. Room was good sized and well stocked. But a bit dated and might need some touch up. Wifi in the room is weak and drops out frequently. Breakfast is good. The bistro serves good value for money food. Oh beware of the steps outside the rooms in the groundfloor. We nearly misstepped a few times. So be careful when leaving the room.

Room is a little dated decor / furniture-wise, but it was clean, with a comfortable bed, and that's the most important requirements for a quick overnight stay.

Booked and paid for room online but once I got there they refused my booking and it takes 7 - 10 days for a refund and leaving me with no accommodation Do not put yourself out with this place and spend your money elsewhere Highly disappointed considering it’s the first time making a booking with them but definitely won’t again

On check in we were left waiting at reception for 15 minutes which in itself is no issue - but when a staff member did eventually arrive, he was rude and completely unwelcoming. The room was okay and breakfast a bonus to be included. However again - no interaction from staff at all. Overall extremely disappointing. A quick 'Good evening' or 'Good morning' would go along way.

We stayed in a back courtyard room and it was very comfortable! Bathroom could use an upgrade, especially the showers, but otherwise clean and functional. Good to have aircon, a (very) mini fridge and TV. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast spread at the bistro. Great value for cost
