Enjoyed our 2 night stay here. Great location, easy walk from train station with wheelie bags, and walk to town attractions. Our room was small but ideal as a place to put head down after big day walking. The staff were always friendly and always staff cleaning the main areas of hotel. The gym is small but adequate - cost euro 5 to use. The breakfasts seemed very popular and good value judging by the amount of people dining there from early in morning. All in all a really good budget hotel. The only negative is that there are roadworks happening outside so a little noisy and dirty but we were advised of that in an email prior to our arrival Would stay again if I re-visited Ghent. El hotel es nuy lindo. Esta muy cerca de la estaciin del tren para llegar caminando y cin el centro de la ciudad al lado. Así que obtienes los beneficios de un hotel no tan caro al lado del centro de la ciudad. La habitación si e smuy pequeña. La 3era cama estaba dentro del closet y pensábamos que solo habia cama para 2. La recepcionsita nos dijo que buscaramos alli y vuala! En wl hotel hay lavanderia y locker rooms!

The hotel is located about ten minutes away from Gent Dampoort train station. The facility is modern and squeaky clean. Although the hotel is close to a business park and a busy roundabout, you barely hear any noise from your room. Moreover, the presence of rental bikes helped me given that public transit in Gent is disappointing. For ten Euros a day (plus a fifty Euros safety deposit), I managed to visit all of Gent's major attractions with a rental bike from the hotel thanks to Gent's bike infrastructures.

20 minutes walk into City Center A bit dirty but fine Breakfast for 21 Euro was not ok It is more a 10 Euro breakfast. Always empty, no variety. Next time we will go out for breakfast

I chose this place due to its proximity to the train station. The walk to the town wasn’t so bad at 20 minutes walk. The place looks new and nicely decorated. There were a few “bad” things about this place: # 1 : there was no luggage room. You had to leave whatever luggage that you don’t want to carry around to -1 locker room to which you had to pay € 2.00 each. We had to € 4.00 total as one of the luggage wouldn’t fit and left it with the front desk. # 2 : the garbage in the bathroom was full upon coming into the room. Also, the bathroom could have been cleaner especially the shower.

Very small rooms with very basic facilities. Rooms were boiling hot with no way to control the temperature. No opening windows so had to hold the door open to try and cool it down. Security really needs looking at, no requirement for room keys to access the accommodation and had issues with people running up the corridor banging on the doors through the night. Had to ask for pillows, towels and toilet roll. Staff were nice and did try and resolve the issues. No way of contacting the reception from the room so had to go all the way down each time. Shower temp fluctuates constantly boiling hot to freezing cold, couldn’t let our child use it in case of burns. Location was the only plus, for a big chain hotel, this was very disappointing

Checkin was simple easy and hassle free only feedback that i could give was you should be able to prebook parking with a code the street outside is full and costs so need to either have pre booking or place to temp park while you get access to carpark. Other than that small issue the hotel was ideal for the money and staff were spot on .

The room was so tiny, the staff didn't even make the bed properly. The bed was shoved up in a corner with no nightstands and one had to climb over the foot of the bed to get out. No hand towels. No water glasses. Stools instead of chairs. Best thing--only one night.

Excellent customer service and breakfast. Room was not too clean, however the staff immediately switched rooms and apologized for the inconvenience. Overall, the experience at the Ibis hotel was pleasant. It is located within walking distance from the train station and easy to walk to the city center. I would recommend this hotel, and would choose it for future bookings.

It was sufficient for our needs, but it wasn't located near anything else. It is "budget friendly" because everything is carte blanch. The breakfast is overpriced, but we were able to get coffee and a croissant for $3.50 each. Our room was too small to leave our luggage open, and the bed was pushed against a wall, so one had to climb over the other. The A/C seemed to turn off at night, and we woke up sweating. It was an easy walk to the train station, but there was nothing to do near the hotel. Most of the staff was very friendly, but not all.

Das Hotel befindet sich in Daamport, am Rande des Stadtzentrums. Es ist möglich, zu Fuß ins Zentrum zu gehen, aber es dauert etwa 15 Minuten. Das eigentliche Problem sind derzeit die Bauarbeiten im Gebiet von Dampoort, die die Zufahrt mit dem Auto sehr erschweren! Ansonsten ist das Hotel preislich viel attraktiver als Hotels in der Stadt. Die Zimmer sind etwas eng (skandinavischer Stil), aber dennoch praktisch. Das Frühstück ist gut.

We spent a night overthere its for resting after long drive its a good choice if you only need an hotel at the city but there are too much student and business people i think they choose this hotel regularly. İts a good price/performance hotel . By the way they are making a delicious pizza!
