Staycity Aparthotels London Greenwich High Road

From start to finish the staff and communication were great, the check in details were helpful and was where I could book parking. The whatsapp chat to get the parking details were quick and informative. The room was nice although we had an issue with one of the windows that didn't close fully but the reception staff were easy to reach and helpful. Using the Whatsapp chat again we were able to request late check out on the morning effortlessly. The carpark is very handy although worth noting there is a short walk to the hotel. Make sure you get the car park details from them before you park!

I loved the fact that there was a kitchen and all kitchen necessities, so our first night in we made a meal at the hotel. Loved it!

We had a great stay. Good value for money, clean and comfy. There were complimentary snacks and drinks in our apartment on arrival which was a lovely touch after a long journey. Our only criticism is that instructions for parking could be better like being provided with the code for the doors prior to arrival.

It was going good. But our door kept malfunctioning, we got locked out of our room 4 times during the stay. With one time we were waiting in the lobby with our dinner for over an hour. On top of that the hotel was uncomfortably hot at night without any heater on, we had to keep the patio door open. Which have balconies easily accessible from the one next to it, so we didnt feel the safest while doing that.

Overall, a very nice place. The staff were very friendly. Good location, a short walk to the tube station, several cafes and supermarkets nearby, and a nice part of town. The room was clean and quite big for London, and had an iron, which is always nice. Also laundry downstairs was a huge positive. However, the mattress in the room was quite old and had some springs poking out. Also, didn't find any dishwasher pods, and the microwave had a bit of an unpleasant smell.

AC not functioning properly

Dishwasher doesn’t work. I spent extra money on wash machine and tumble dryer as some of them do not work properly. Reception didn’t refund me this small money.

We woke up sweating the first night. The staff told us management just changed the A/C to go off every 4 hours. So you cannot sleep through the night with air conditioning. Otherwise the room and hotel were great.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. Unfortunately everything in the apartment kitchenette area was dirty (cutlery and crockery). The hotel is on a busy main road in quite rough area it seems, we thought we were more in Greenwich but seemingly this is more in Deptford. First night there were several sirens passing and they all seemed to stop at an incident no more than 100 metres down the road. Not sure what had happened but a bit discerning with 5 or more police cars/vans with blues on. Not to do with the property but well worth thinking about. Loved the Turkish restaurant next door to the hotel though, great spot!

The staff advised that they needed managers approval to give us fans and they took a long time to approve only one extra fan, which did not sufficiently cool the room. The room layout was also inconvenient, as the sofa bed could not be opened fully due to a diningtable blocking it. We moved the table towards the side, but that blocked the kitchen and the exit from the room. In other words, there was nowhere to put the table and open the sofa bed at the same time. The room is not suitable for four people as advertised. The reception staff were sympathetic but unable to address the issues effectively. Additionally, we discovered mold on the sheets in the morning, which was immediatelyreported but not directly addressed by the manager. The compensation offered was 20% off a future stay, but we have no intention of returning.

Got into the room and there were stains on the sofa which wasn’t ideal. It also was advertised as a double sofa bed but was two singles. The bed was very firm and the pillows weren’t the best but it’s a hotel at the end of the day and it’s never great. Other than that the stay was ok.

Absolutely amazing front desk team who were lovely. Location is fantastic and rooms are well proportioned and sized. However few things - bleach used to clean bathroom is pungent and remained strong whole visit. Rooms aren't soundproofed as advertised- can hear outside / neighbour's. Stains on bedspread cover and didn't fit the bedspread properly- which also had a zip down the middle (to make double into two singles) which digs in at night.

We arrived on time for check-in, but were told the room wouldn’t be ready for another 15 minutes. To use up the time we went out for something to eat and came back 40 minutes later, to be told the same thing again. This time we waited in the foyer, and it was indeed a 15 minute wait this time. However, it had been an hour since our intended check-in time. The room we stayed in had clearly only just been cleaned, but I did notice a few hairs in the bathroom which was a little off-putting. The kitchen facilities were good and the main reason we stayed in an Aparthotel again - it’s certainly handy to be able to cook bacon and eggs in the morning rather than rush out. The noise of traffic from the window was quite loud due to the location but can’t be helped. With the windows closed it wasn’t bad. Overall, a decent stay, but could do with some minor improvements.

And it is nice to have a quiet place to end up after the crowds of the main tourist attractions. We got a triple in case one of us needed a separate bed and it was fine for 2 people but would have been really crowded and uncomfortable with 3 people. The kitchen is not really workable for cooking it was great to have milk for coffee and hot water etc. Shower was nice. Mattress was kind of hard but fine. I would go back.

This hotel sits right by two major bus stops that will get you into London with ease. Our room faced the street and still was soundproof. The room comes with central AC which was a blessing during their hot wave. Theres restaurants nearby and a grocery store within walking distance. We would definitely stay here again. Its also very close to a tube station.

Hotel room is pleasant and a decent size. Noise isn't too bad for a London hotel, and the local transport options are good (especially if you're going to the O2). Also, even though I arrived quite a bit before check in started, they had a room available for me.

Room was nice, well equipped and located well. However it wasn't ready on arrival, despite paying for early check in and turning up after 3pm (usual check in time). The air con was centrally managed and couldn't be changed, no windows could be opened which meant the room was incredibly warm and stuffy. We did ask if it could be changed and was apparently as low as it could be.

This is an excellent place for a short term stay. The glass of prosecco on arrival was a nice touch. Very friendly staff

Staff were fantastic and very helpful

We were given an accessibility room , although we hadn’t requested this. The room was comfortable but the bathroom was a wet room and the shower drain away was blocked. There was a permanent green light on throughout the night in the room which was annoying . Could have done without the male member of staff just letting himself into our room without knocking this morning. Thankfully we were dressed !

I stayed for 2 nights whilst attending meetings close by. Easy access from Greenwich station which is a 5-min walk. Positives: Rooms are relatively clean and spacious. Check in was quick. The room had coffee and tea and a small kitchen (that I didn’t use). The nightly rate was fair and offered very good value for what you get. Close to Greenwich park, Cutty Sark (one stop away) Negatives: Very strong smell of disinfectant in lifts and hallways Bed was uncomfortable for me Shower had low flow (wasn’t awful but I prefer a power shower) A good option if you need to be close to Greenwich area but it’s quite far from Canary Wharf or Central London. 4/5 stars for me :)

Great employees, close train transportation, grocery store nearby. Great place to stay and easy to get to downtown London.

We spent 6 days and enjoyed everyday. We were close to DLR, Bus and Rail services. Local shops wee easy to get to and had everything we needed. The room was spacious compared to others we stayed in in London. The kitchenette was also a bonus. Thank you for a great stay.

Very clean and comfy. No coffee maker in room and we had a room for disabled persons so everything very low. Husband 6’4” found 3’ bathroom sink a little annoying. Had to check out early to get our tour so coffee in room would have been nice.

My recent stay at Staycity Aparthotel in Greenwich was a thoroughly enjoyable experience, especially given its convenient location near the O2 Arena. From the moment we arrived, the staff set a warm and welcoming tone. They were helpful, polite, and friendly, even offering us complimentary bubbles upon check-in, which was a lovely touch. Our room was immaculate and well-equipped with everything needed for a few nights away. We were pleasantly surprised to find a personalised welcome card and a basket of goodies waiting for us, which made us feel special and appreciated as guests. The aparthotel itself is well-maintained, and the amenities provided in the room ensured a comfortable and hassle-free stay. The proximity to the O2 Arena made it a perfect choice for our visit, offering a convenient base for our activities. The only downside to our stay, and the reason for a 4-star rating instead of 5, was the comfort of the pillows. They were not as comfortable as we would have liked, which slightly detracted from an otherwise perfect experience. Overall, I would highly recommend Staycity Aparthotel Greenwich for its excellent location, friendly staff, and thoughtful touches. With a slight improvement in the bedding, it could easily become a 5-star destination.

Small apartment room but it was clean and accomodated the three of us confortably. The bathroom was clean and cozy. The guy at reception was friendly and collaborative. As a plus, there is a convenience store across the street that was well stocked with travelers supplies.
