Beautiful tropical interior with a nice pool and hot tub. Nice large bedded lounger for couples and singles. Rooms where clean but pretty basic and plain with a bit of sewer smell coming from the shower drain. Although the interior pool area is mostly calm and quiet the room we where in had very loud noise from the street traffic and early morning noise 2-3Am from the near by club closing up. We had purchased added extra to our visit with a daily 30 minutes visit to the spa area which includes hydrotherapy,dry sauna and hot tub. Steam sauna was broken. And a daily couples massage which happens to be a basic lite swedish massage. Any other massage modality would cost extra. Also included was a spa daily credit of I believe $37.50. Unfortunately we where informed on day three the spa and services would be closed for repair work. Missing the last 2 days and unable to utilize the credit towards another therapy.

Très joli hôtel et très bien situé en cœur de ville, avec jardin piscine jacuzzi et spa. Personnel aux petits soins, Vanessa à l’accueil au top et parle français, Violeta et Andrea au SPA adorables. Petit dejeuner top et varié. Seul Bémol : il n’y a pas assez de transats autour de la piscine ils devraient en rajouter vraiment pour contrer les psychopathes qui y mettent leur serviettes dès 6h du matin !!! Une petite rénovation des chambres serait top pour qu’elles soient en adéquation avec le reste de l’hôtel.

Havre de paix en plein centre de Playa del Carmen. Tout était parfait, chambre élégante, spacieuse et propre, personnel souriant et efficace. Excellent petit déjeuner buffet servi au restaurant à côté (accès direct de l'hôtel). Espace piscine agréable et calme lors de notre séjour.

The property was fantastic. A hidden little oasis that was quiet & relaxing but upbeat atmosphere, restaurants & nightlife was just one block over. Jessica and all the staff were the kindest, most helpful people ever. Some areas for improvement would be to add some colorful Mexican decor to the room, ants in the room, better poolside drink services, clean the cushions on the deck chairs more frequently and the wood around the hot tub was rotted a bit and very slippery. We witnessed and older fellow fall really bad when he got out of the hot tub. It's definitely a hazard.

Lovely people - great staff. Real bad problems with getting hot water (takes 10 minutes easily), and the daily hydrotherapy we paid for in our packages were sold out for half the days we were there. Nice buffet. Further from the beach than it seems on the map.

SAFETY AND QUIET PLACE, THE SAUNA IS CLEAN AND RELAXING

Fin liten oas mitt i staden med fräscht och avkopplande poolområde. Rymligt rum med stor skön säng, välstädade rum. WiFi fungerade mycket bra. Frukosten var ok men fanns bara väldigt söta bröd/bakelser eller baguetter. Inga osötade bröd. Spa’t är litet men fint men upplevelsen förstördes av att personalen hade en specifik ordningsföljd utifrån vilken man var tvungen att använda poolerna och bastun. Servicen i poolområdet var ouppmärksam och istället för att ge notan direkt eller vid check-out kom personalen och knackade på dörren. Allting kostar, och man måste vid incheckning skriva under papper på att man är betalningaanvarig för lakan ifall de tex skulle få en sminkfläck. Vi miste ett av våra plastkort till dörren och fick betala 15 dollar för ett ersättningskort.

The room was ok. Nothing fancy and a bit old. The spa area is so so. The sauna was cold when we entered and steam room was not that great. The jacuzzi was nice.

This was a perfectly convenient area in the heart of Playa - right next to all the popular shopping and dining areas. While the area can go on all night, inside the hotel is very serene, private, and super relaxing. The beds were super comfy, the pool was very relaxing, we did the hydrotherapy, and the buffet breakfast that comes with it (from the attached Brazillian restaurant) was amazing. If we go back to Play, we will stay here again.

The pool and garden was gorgeous. Very walkable location. All waking distance. No need to take a taxi. Plenty of very good restaurants across. The spa was amazing too. The hammocks for each room were so much fun. I recommend very much.

Small safe and clean

I was very disappointed with our stay at Magic Blue Spa. Unfortunately, it wasn’t a comfortable experience from start to finish. The A/C in the room was nice but the overall room itself was quite outdated. There were smashed mosquitoes on the walls from previous guests. There was visible black mold on the shower window, which was really concerning. The baseboards and walls are chipped and poorly sealed. Our room door also didn’t seal properly on the top, so mosquitoes got in overnight—I woke up each morning with multiple bites which was so frustrating. The staff was friendly, but I found the towel policy ridiculous. We were only given two small face towels per person and nothing more than that. The towels were rough, thin, and non-absorbent. Check-in wasn’t allowed until exactly 3 PM, which might not have been a big deal, but in the 95-degree heat, being handed room temperature water with no ice was just another letdown. By the time check-out day came, I packed up as quickly as possible and made a quick exit. I couldn’t wait to leave. Overall, I expected much more from a 4 star hotel. This was one of the most uncomfortable hotel stays I’ve ever had, and I wouldn’t recommend it based on my experience.

This was advertised as a luxury boutique motel. The only luxury was bathrobes hung in the bathroom. The faucets were all corroded and difficult to adjust the temperature. There were no night stands, just stained cloth covered benches. The remotes were dirty. The toilet seat wouldn’t stay up. The reception desk didn’t speak enough English to carry a good conversation. One day we were made to eat on the patio in the heat with no explanation why we couldn’t eat indoors like the rest of the time. The swimming pool was warm and not refreshing in 90+ degrees. The beds were comfortable and they had a great breakfast. Unfortunately, that wasn’t enough to give it a good rating.

Can’t get past the set in blood stained sheet on my bed ! Yuk ! Nothing I like better than sliding into bed with someone’s unknown DNA !

Property maintenance and repairs poor in some respects.

I appreciate the opportunity to share my feedback. However, I found the quality-price relationship of the hotel to be unsatisfactory. The room was noisy and uncomfortable, which impacted my overall experience negatively.

We really enjoyed our stay beautiful pool area and staff was very friendly and helpful. Bathrooms need an update and rooms sometimes noice at night. But really an oasis in the perfect location.

Med alla dem högst betygsatta restaurangerna i närheten. 50 meter ner till stranden, bankomater och växelkontor överallt. Innergården är fantastisk lugn och trevlig, även om det är party hela dagarna utanför portarna så är poolområdet lugnt och skönt. Rummen är relativt ljudisolerade och bekväma med bra luftkonditionering. Rummen är enkla men bra. Finns helt okej dusch med bra utrymme. Sängen är stor och skön. Rummen är bra städade varje dag men kunde varit lite fräschare. Bör målas om då väggarna är lite fläckiga. Luftkonditioneringen gick sönder i vårt första rum men vi fick ett nytt rum, dock dagen efter. Så en av nätterna gick det knappt att sova. Men problemet löstes och vi fick ett större rum. Allt i allt så är det ett bra hotell där du betalar för området och det sköna poolområdet. Rummen är okej men inte mer. Frukosten var bra i början men dålig med variation, efter en vecka börja man tröttna. Värt sitt pris!

It felt like an oasis with the beautifully landscaped grounds. The room was very quiet and the mattress was wonderful. The shower water was lukewarm but was told that it’s normal for that area because of the hot weather. The robes were a nice luxury to have and the seating area immediately outside our room Ali g with the hammock was very pleasant! The staff was on top of things and showed professionalism.

The atmosphere and feel at this hotel is great. It is very peaceful and relaxing, having a centralized pool surrounded by bungalows which all had hammocks and amazing amount of green space, grass, shrubbery, and palm trees. The room was good, except the toilet had a hard time flushing and hot water in the shower wasnt very hot. The breakfast included was resort buffet quality. The surrounding area did not seem overly noisy for being located on the main strip. Didnt like the checkout when they said that one of the face cloths was missing and charge us 30 pesos for it. Probably maid forgot to restock it and left us holding the bill. Don't understand why they need to accuse use of loosing it and charge us $2.75 CAD, when i just spent $650.00 on three nights stay. I tried to tell them to take it out of the tips that I had left them daily and they said that those were for the maid. Accusing you're guests of stealing is bad for business.

Vanesa the front desk manager treated us very unprofessional at check in that i need Hotels.com person get involved. Very unprofessional. Oh, a roach jumped off my friends breakfast plate...

We came here to celebrate my birthday. Charlie checked us in & was very friendly & helpful. Angel helped us with our bags & he was also very friendly each time we saw him. Had a relaxing hot stones massage from Rubi. I would recommend. Fernanda researched & organised an excursion for us. She was very patient while we worked out what we wanted to do. Loved the selection at the breakfast buffet. I wished the hot options were hot rather than just warm. This didn't put me off as it was always tasty. The team in the restaurant kept the coffee coming & the coffee was also very nice. A shout out to Gabriel & Carla who made us feel welcome each morning. The restaurant is actually Ipanema's Brazilian Grill serving amazing food in the evening but I was disappointed that it was the Brazillian grill or eat out. There are loads of eateries nearby but it would have been nice to have a choice. Although Magic Blue is a beautiful & relaxing hotel there were a few things which bugged me (didn't stop us from enjoying our stay). The bar area lacks atmosphere & food is only available there up to 8pm. The gardens & pool area are very well maintained (I loved the landscaping) but the stairs to our rooms & our terrace could have been cleaned better. We were in one of the master suites & there were bird droppings in one corner of our terrace the whole time. We liked our room but repairs looked botched. Shouldn't be given room prices. We enjoyed our stay, the staff made the difference.

As always, the property is beautiful and the staff amazing. Unfortunately, I had to return home early, but the staff helped me out and treated me with care

Nos hospedamos en Magic Blue en Playa del Carmen y fue una excelente elección. El hotel es muy bonito, con un ambiente relajante y bien cuidado. Todo el personal fue súper amable desde el primer momento, siempre con una sonrisa y dispuestos a ayudar. Mi esposa y yo tomamos unos masajes y la experiencia fue de 10. Yo elegí uno con tratamiento a base de aloe vera para el daño solar, y la verdad es que me salvó las vacaciones, me ayudó muchísimo con la recuperación de la piel después de pasar tanto tiempo al sol. En resumen, excelente servicio, un lugar hermoso y una atención que marca la diferencia. Lo recomiendo totalmente y sin duda volveríamos.

Excellent hôtel situé en plein centre-ville juste en face du Coco-Bongo, à 1 min à pied de la 5 eme avenue. Et à 3 min de la plage. Le personnel est au petits soins et parle français. Natalia et Isis voulaient toujours faire au mieux pour nous faire découvrir leur région et leur magnifique pays.

We will absolutely stay here again! It’s a beautiful hidden oasis when you enter! I thought it might be noise upon arriving and seeing the location was centered in town..but once you enter the hotel, it’s as quiet and serene as could be! The staff of fabulous the pool is beautiful and the bar staff and drinks were A ..location for walking to restaurants and shopping can’t be beat!

Vi hadde et supert opphold. Deg er rent og ryddig som en liten stille og rolig oase i et ganske bråkete området. Ligger i nærheten av alt og gangavstand til det meste. Rett og slett et supert opphold

Excellent location close to all. Everything was clean and well taken care of. Beautiful. Breakfast was fresh . The only issue was with the spa promotion. There is a credit for spa treatments upon arrival, which is nice . However the wording on the paper isn’t clear or correct on what spa service you need to have in order to get said credit. Upon check out the woman at the desk argued that it’s clear . Well it’s not.

Hotel excelente ,exatamente como é nas foros ,já havia me hospedado nele e gostei tanto que voltei .Sempre indico ele .Melhor custo benefício ,bem localizado e a piscina é maravilhosa .Cafe da manhã farto e o restaurante de churrasco ao lado do Hotel é maravilhoso !
