Hotel was clean. Stuff friendly. A lot of places to eat around the hotel. The restaurant and bar inside of the hotel was good and convenient. Facility has a nice pool, garden around, nice kiosk, Jacuzzi.

The outdoor pool is heated. There were 2 ducks that absolutely love the heated pool, they sit outside the ledge of it, super cute. The staff is amazing all the way around, I lost my phone and the lady at the front desk tracked me down to return it. Food was good, bartenders were fun. I also dropped my phone in the trash... yes I'm a mess.. the groundskeeper saw it happen and insisted he get it out for me. Breakfast was also good, lots of choices to choose from.

Overall a good comfortable stay with close proximity to downtown Portland. We loved the pool area and appreciated it staying open late. Most of the staff were wonderful, especially the gals that work in the lobby-area bar (which has very good food btw). The biggest downside to this hotel is that it’s on a STEEP hill and has no elevators. Prepare to hike uphill anywhere you need to go. I highly advise against this property for anyone with mobility issues.

We were told it was pet friendly, we had a cat and charges us 350$ deposit!!! None for our kids dogs! They said pool was heated, I guess if you live in Alaska it would be warm, hot tubs jets didn’t work and was filthy! Rooms were clean and nice!

Housekeeping came only once and didn't take out the big bag of food trash that I had set aside, nor empty/take out the melted ice container (which I actually wanted to use again). The common areas were hot (AC units seemed old), carpet was stained, worn out, and the hotel as a whole seemed run down. The people I did interact with were kind, although I knew even before the booking change time/date that I needed to cancel my last day, and both Expedia and the property were of no help. Safe to say, I won't be back.

The woman who checked us into our room was exceptional, friendly, informative, and very helpful. After settling in, we dropped off our bags and went out for dinner. Upon returning, we noticed ants near the telephone. I reported the issue via the hotel’s chat system. The next morning, before I took a shower, I saw an ant on the outside of the tub and several more inside the shower. I brought this to the attention of the front desk, and the manager kindly offered to move us to another room. However, by that point, the experience had already been ruined, and we decided to stay elsewhere. Although I had paid for two nights and checked out by 11 a.m., I was informed that a refund for the second night would not be issued since a room change was offered. While I understand this decision from a business standpoint, I believe a more flexible approach would have been appropriate given the cleanliness concerns and discomfort caused by the ant issue. A compromise in this situation would have gone a long way in preserving customer satisfaction.

Bathtub was dirty upon arrival with hairs inside, water pressure and heat was weak. Had the water all the way up to hot for 10 minutes and didn’t heat up to a comfortable temperature at all, even during shower. The power went out for several hours and the property refused to compensate in any way at all, even though I paid full price for full service. No partial refund, voucher, coupon or anything that would compensate for the inconvenience. I picked this hotel because it was closest to the hospital I was getting surgery at, and I was one day out of surgery and had to sit in a cold and dark hotel room for hours. They served unripe fruit at breakfast. Not worth it for the price. There’s no elevator and rooms are on a large hill, so it is not ADA accessible.

I had to wait 20 minutes for someone to wander up to the lobby and assist me. I tried calling the listed number, but I couldn't hear any incoming phone ringing in the building. After getting to the room, we found pubic hairs all over the bathtub. The floors were not clean enough to walk barefoot on, and my initial request for extra pillows upon booking was not accommodated. Within the first hour, our toilet was clogged. We tried calling the front desk again, but had to walk to the lobby to ask for a plunger or some help. We were told that the maintenance person might be able to help, but didn't say when. We asked when it would be addressed and were told it might be in a few hours, when he arrived. We asked if we could get a plunger and handle it ourselves, and eventually, housekeeping brought us one wrapped in a plastic shopping bag. The following morning, we attempted to contact the front desk again, but there was never any answer. We had to drive to the lobby to speak with someone, but we ran into a similar issue to the night before: there was nobody at the front desk. We tried calling again, but no one answered. When someone finally appeared, we mentioned the issue with trying to call since last night with no answer. The person at the front desk was adamant that there was no issue with the phone. I stayed at this motel over Thanksgiving. The check in process was quick and easy. The price was affordable. The parking situation is not good. Very steep hills and a long walk to the room. The room had stains on the floor and my pillow had brown marks on it. There was hair in the sink. The room was not cleaned or serviced the entire day Thursday. I returned at approx. 9 pm and called the front desk. No one answered. I called again, no answer. I called a third time and finally got a response. The gentleman said he was not good at cleaning rooms but could bring us some towels. I also found a dead bug in the coffee maker. The second day the room was cleaned but the bed was not made and a dirty sheet was left on the floor.

The staff was nice and friendly, the rooms were updated and nice. The only problem was there was a strong marijuana smell in the hall and it got stronger near the employee only door and all night when our heater would come on the smell would get worse coming out of the heater fan.

Very, VERY dirty. We called the front desk a few minutes after entering our room, to ask for a different room, but they informed us they were booked full, so we were stuck. The floor was so gross, we all wore shoes anytime we walked in the room. Huge food (I hope food) stains. Dirty walls. My children were skeptical of even getting into the bed.

The hotel was okay, staff was friendly and it was in an easy location. However the room smelled like someone covered up smoking in it, the bed was very uncomfortable and the tub would drain extremely slow.

From the outside, it looks like a motel, but it is a hotel and there are more rooms in the back side. Gtounds are clean and has a cool koi pond in the back middle with a fountain and gazebo. Really nice if you want to eat or hang out outside. Also, there is a decent swimming pool outside too. Didn't have a chance to use it. When we checked in, the gentleman was so nice, friendly, and humorous. More people were coming in to check in so he asked us to be patient and tried to make us feel at ease. Offered free cookies! Very clear on instructions. There are 2 bars and a full restaurant. If you let staff know that you are a guest at the hotel, there is a discount. Rooms were great, spacious, clean, and comfy. Checkout was a breeze. Would stay here again if we'll be in the area.

Quaint place to stay. We had a double king room so it was spacious. You can tell it’s older by the design and layout but it’s updated. Everything was clean. Only negative was the parking. Tiny spaces and you’re down a hill. We walked up the hill with our luggage and it was inconvenient. We didn’t find the closet door til later. Otherwise great stay.

Nice facility and location. A bit to close to a busy road so you’ll want a room in the back. The bed was pretty hard and didn’t suit the wife. Could have used an extra blanket but was able to adjust the heat to compensate. Overall I would stay again but ask for a room in the lower back portion of property. The hot tub was warm but not hot and lacked bubbles.

Poor customer service threatening representation of the company, unclear rules of checkout and check-in policies, lying, after getting confirmation for a early checkout with no cost housekeeping and a manager attempted to enter into the room before 1:00. This caused me to wake up in a disarray and defensive way. I thought somebody was trying to break into the room. I'd already stated multiple times to the maintenance team that the deadbolt was not working. So that they thought that we weren't trying to stay in the room I propped the door up very carefully with a towel, then the manager for the property claim that I caused damage to the door. This will be handled in small claims court if they decide to charge anything for room damages. I have pictures of the room before and after

Booked this hotel because it was closest to the hospital I was getting surgery at. Stayed one night after my procedure and the power went out for several hours. Hotel refused to compensate in any way at all because they “had to uphold their cancellation policy.” I was one day out of surgery, sitting in a cold and dark hotel room for hours in agony. Definitely do not recommend if you expect to be compensated for any mishaps that happen at their fault.

I had to wait 20 minutes for someone to wander up to the lobby and assist me. I tried calling the listed number, but I couldn't hear any incoming phone ringing in the building. After getting to the room, we found pubic hairs all over the bathtub. The floors were not clean enough to walk barefoot on, and my initial request for extra pillows upon booking was not accommodated. Within the first hour, our toilet was clogged. We tried calling the front desk again, but had to walk to the lobby to ask for a plunger or some help. We were told that the maintenance person might be able to help, but didn't say when. We asked when it would be addressed and were told it might be in a few hours, when he arrived. We asked if we could get a plunger and handle it ourselves, and eventually, housekeeping brought us one wrapped in a plastic shopping bag. The following morning, we attempted to contact the front desk again, but there was never any answer. We had to drive to the lobby to speak with someone, but we ran into a similar issue to the night before: there was nobody at the front desk. We tried calling again, but no one answered. When someone finally appeared, we mentioned the issue with trying to call since last night with no answer. The person at the front desk was adamant that there was no issue with the phone. Overall a good comfortable stay with close proximity to downtown Portland. We loved the pool area and appreciated it staying open late. Most of the staff were wonderful, especially the gals that work in the lobby-area bar (which has very good food btw). The biggest downside to this hotel is that it’s on a STEEP hill and has no elevators. Prepare to hike uphill anywhere you need to go. I highly advise against this property for anyone with mobility issues.

The room renovations were very nice. We've stayed here before and will probably continue to do so for our trips to Portland unless the price keeps going up. Convenient access to Forest Park, Arboretum, Zoo, St. Vincents Hospital and new Reser Center in Beaverton. Affords a back route into Portland.

The power went out at 3AM, this affected my Cpat machine, it was not best westerns fault. The stay included a breakfast, at 8AM all they offered was cold cereal with milk not refrigerated for 5 hours. They could have made arrangements to have food delivered and kept warm with Sterno or maybe a voucher for a local business

Just stayed for one night from Washington. Loved the 2 king sized beds in the room, really fit our family of 4. Our kids loved the pool area, especially with the heat. The only bummer was we came on a sunday, when the restaurant was closed - I was really looking forward to it. The breakfast in the am was great though, it wasnt too crowded, plenty of tasty variety! It was close to so many things! I will definitely stay here again.

We did enjoy our stay,the breakfast was great! We had two rooms w/ a balcony that overlooked the pond. Just to mention, the outdoor lights were covered w/ dead bugs and one room the carpet was wet during our entire stay and the other room's carpet was dirty, our socks quickly turned black.
