I had booked the room because I thought I might over indulge at the Cedar Rapids Kernels and didn't want to drive home. The hotel sent me an email so I could pre check in which I'm guessing sped up the process. The hotels.com advertised an iron/ironing board available in each room but mine for whatever reason did not have an ironing board. Not a huge issue for me as I just used a towel on a table if no ironing board available. I was actually happy that my ps5 connected to the hotel wifi as they can be difficult to connect to WiFi in most hotels. My main complaint was I did not see an elevator to access the 2nd floor(my room was on 1st floor) so if you have issues going up/down steps you may want to seek a different hotel. The breakfast options offered were fairly straightforward nothing special. Overall it's a decent hotel for the price I would stay here again.

Room was very lsrge, updated. No couch in king room, lots of open space. Nothing was mentioned the pool was out of order and looking at the pool area, will NOT be open any time soon.

There is no pool so that should be advertised. Also thought it odd they wanted to charge extra per person for the room. The room slept 4 and there were 3 of us. I’ve never had a hotel do that. Maybe just me.

Clean hotel, nice beds, clean shower. No elevator, although only two floors. Only ding was breakfast. Lots of people, no place to sit, probably only three tables. Food was pretty much all gone at 8am. No employees around to restock. After waiting 10 minutes we just left. Everything else was good.

We checked in an immediately left… the room was smelly/dirty and the locks didn’t work.. we were literally the only people in the hotel and it made my teenage daughter and I very uncomfortable. We ended up staying at the Holiday inn across the street instead

This is truly a hidden gem among all the poplar hotel brands. After reading all the reviews, I decided to book a two night stay for an event at the Alliant Powerhouse. It didn’t disappoint. Room was spacious and immaculate. No complaints at all. Breakfast was your basic waffles, cereal, fruit and juice, and coffee. Overall, a pleasant stay. Area is safe and near restaurants and well lit.
