Amazing hostel to stay in the center of Mexico City. It's super clean and modern. There's a guest kitchen, very clean and well equipped. There's also a good atmosphere in the hostel bar.

The staff members are friendly. This is clearly a “social” hostel that anyone can make new friends all over the world. I live in a mixed room and all my roommates are polite and respectful. Events happen everyday so even if you don't want to plan your trip, you can enjoy the city quite easily.

Not a great Viajero. If stayed at the Viajero in Medellin but this one was super noisy, the cowork was terrible, and the common areas were uncomfortable

I stayed at Viajero for a week in a 12-bed dorm Overall, it's an amazing hostel - one of the best I've stayed at. Highlights: - The building is beautiful - it's one of those 2-storey Latin American buildings with an open courtyard in the middle - The rooms and showers are clean, the kitchen is usually clean but could do with being checked a bit more often - It's a great social experience. The open courtyard makes it very easy to hang out and chat to people - The staff are very helpful and super friendly. A special thanks to the amazing and charming Brenda, who checked up on me each day after I got sick and after I said the A/C in the room was too cold Lowlights: - The dorm was too cold because the A/C was set too cold (the staff control it, not the guests). 24° was OK, anything lower than that was too cold - They tell you the coffee is "free", like it says on the sign outside, but then you discover that you actually have to pay 50 pesos ($2.40) for it during breakfast hours (8am to 11am) - For sure, I bet this makes great money for the hostel, but for the guests, it's just annoying... The coffee is just basic brew coffee from a big metal urn. It should be free at all hours. - They need to invest in ceramic cups. They have a limited number of metal cups, but the rest are plastic. This is not good and not safe for drinking hot drinks. E.g. the coffee from the urn is super hot, so it's going to melt the plastic into your drink

Hostel was a good level of social with various activities you could sign up for. However multiple people across various rooms had money stolen from their locked lockers. Staff didn’t seem to want to investigate the issue. Reading back on reviews on other sites seems like a common issue so be warned if using a TSA approved lock. The bunk beds which were 6 beds joined were rocky you could feel anytime someone climbed into bed or moved.

The people I met during my stay at Viajeros were amazing, and all the fun activities they offered were fantastic. The atmosphere was incredible. I highly recommend it.

I was surprised by the high ratings for this property. As a solo female traveler, I did not feel comfortable in the surrounding area, particularly after dark. The street is poorly lit, and because it is pedestrian-only, rideshares cannot drop off directly at the entrance, which made arriving at night feel challenging. I also often saw people loitering and using substances right outside the building, which added to the sense of insecurity. Inside, I encountered several issues: belongings went missing in the rooms, the bathrooms were not clean, and the courtyard flooded during rain. I also had an interaction with staff that felt unprofessional, and when I mentioned that I felt unsafe, the response was dismissive. In the end, I decided to move to a different hostel, which worked out better. The one positive was that Skye did a great job organizing social activities. Overall, however, I would not recommend this property for solo female travelers.

Absolutely loved my time at Viajero CDMX. Staff was super friendly and always ready to help. Lots of activities and beautiful facilities. Everything was super clean, the bathroom structure was the best I’ve seen in a hostel, very private and easy to comfortably shower. The hostel was just 2 blocks from Zócalo, close to buses and subway stations and allowed easy access to the city and sights. Would 100% recommend and come back!

Centrally located but Zocolo not that great, no atmosphere However hostel was clean, friendly, safe and well run. Price was right Next time would rather stay in a quieter and less hectic area

The beds are very comfortable and for the most part the rooms are fairly quiet considering it being a social Hostal. The washrooms and showers are clean. The staff and volunteers are amazing. Extremely helpful , fun and willing to do things. I will admit this is probably not the best location as most things require a 30-45min metro ride away like museums, tourist attractions and certain restaurants. But the decision to stay in a social and friendly hostel totally surpassed the travelling required. I know a few people who switch hostels and came back for the vibes and friendships. The hostel has activities every day, paid tours or free activities. Very much recommend.

Beautiful hostel in historical centro. Very friendly staff especially Omar & Alex who so kindly educated us in the Spanish language. Close to everything and offers both very nice rooms and dorms. Situated on a side street and very quiet. Amazing breakfast.

I will admit the area is not very practically in the sense of tourist attractions like main museums, cocktail bars, restaurants, soccer games. But it’s well worth it for the vibes, friendly people, cheap street food . There’s a few attractions nearby that are pretty cool as well. The staff and volunteers are amazing. Very friendly, social and always want to do things. There are free and paid activities and tours every day. The beds are comfy and the rooms are fairly quiet given it being a social hostel but quiet hours begin at 11pm so no need to worry about late night partying, people usually go out afterwards.

The service was not welcoming at all. Everything was okay until I asked for my invoice for my taxes. They started to create excuses and so far, they haven't sent it. I can update this review if they change their mind and send it but so far they're ignoring my calls and emails.

Absolutely loved my time at Viajero CDMX. Staff was super friendly and always ready to help. Lots of activities and beautiful facilities. It’s a good place to meet other travellers if you are travelling solo. However after my stay here I got really bad food poisoning and ended up in hospital. I’ve never been so sick. I wouldn’t advise eating here and besides the social aspect this place does not have a lot to offer unless you like having everything organised and ready for you. In most cases it’s cheaper just to do it yourself than a tour.

Everyone was welcoming and ready to help. The food was fantastic and it’s close to everything. Metro a few minutes away, close to sightseeing tours and, being a history buff, I walked past Templo Mayor every day! I will definitely stay there on my next visit
