I gave a "good" review overall but "excellent" in other specific areas because so far in this review I haven\'t seen questions about two things I noticed. First, while the hotel is clean, it must be an older building because the floors squeak, at least in 322 and in the hallway Second, could not figure out what the pool hours were--one sign said 10:00 pm, another no pool use after dark. Didn\'t bother to ask because it was either too cold (weather) or too crowded to take a dip. The breakfasts were some of the best we\'ve experienced in hotels--lots of variety. Our room was very clean. My bed was a bit soft. Although there were lots of signs in the parking lot saying to not leave valuable in sight, and although other area hotels had reviews saying to be careful, Home2 had a security patrol cruising the parking lot regularly. Very nice! No problems with our car. Had a nice stay.

They could use a few more handicap parking spaces, they do have several EV spots. Breakfast could offer more hot options like omelets with no meat. Overall very nice. Heads up, lots of dogs were here.

New property. Bright Orange building. Breakfast changed daily. Property farther from downtown San Francisco then originally thought. It's about 35 minutes in light traffic over Bay Bridge. The only weird thing is I had to schedule housekeeping to straighten room. Lots of security in parking lot.

The property was newer and the staff was nice and they were cleaning the areas. First night there a car got there window smashed in, which isn’t the fault of the hotel or lack of trying with having security guards patrolling. The area is a little rough. The target 1/2 mile away had police officers arresting people at the store. I find that Northern California is in rough shape. I’d rather travel south to Los Angeles

3 vehicles were broken into on the last night of our stay. It happened at 3:00am, we found it at 10:00am, in 7 hours the car that drives around 24/7 for security never saw or reported it???!!!! The actual hotel was wonderful. We just had an issue with security. It seemed like a better part of Oakland but I guess not.

This property advertises a full kitchen but only had a sink, dishwasher, refrigerator, and microwave, but no stove or oven. I booked a long term stay a the higher rate after our home sustained water damage in the floods in Northern CA. I choose this hotel because it had a full kitchen and because it was pet friendly. The also charged is $100 more than they advised us for the pet deposit. The hotel was clean except for the stained carpets and the room had a strange odor. Because it was a pet friendly room I didn’t think there was much that could be done about that though.

Location worked 2nd time at hotel. Sadly itnhas changed, breakfast not great, coffee/tea station empty, way too much chemical smell in lobby and on 2nd floor. Had to move rooms a bed bug found in closet area. Services friendly but will not stay again.

I’ve stayed at several hotels in this area and Home2Stay is the best place I’ve stayed so far. Great staff, location, super clean which is my main concern. Great breakfast choices. Rooms are very spacious and clean. Very comfortable beds

All the basic necessities for a like-home stay. I needed to make a couple of no-bake desserts for a Christmas potluck and the room had everything I needed (microwave, can opener, large dishes, full size refrigerator, dishwasher). Added bonus for us, it is right next to a small airport and we love watching the small aircraft take off and land from our window.

Our bathroom door did not close at all (room 233). The knob hinge was off about an inch! Didn’t have kids with us so it wasn’t an issue but pretty bad workmanship for a pretty new hotel. Eastside rooms need a window topper as daylight illuminates the ceiling at 6 am! Great location though.

The bed was really comfortable; having a large fridge and kitchen sink was convenient. Also, often when I travel I pack liquid hand soap because the bar soap most places give you is horrible but this facility had liquid hand soap in the rooms. (I know it's a random thing to notice, but it's a personal pet peeve.) Would definitely stay again.

During my stay, in the morning, we woke up to no lights in the room and some receptacles had no power. I had to take a shower in the dark. When, we went down to the breakfast area, the elevators were not working, lights were flickering in the hotel hallways and in the breakfast area. The breakfast items were cold and no juices or were water were made available. Prior to checkout, I asked about a partial credit for the inconvenience and they told me a manager was going to contact me. After several days I had not received any call. I called the hotel and the lady who picked up was argumentative claiming the the power outage and occurred only in the last minutes of my stay. This was not true since I woke up at 6am to get ready and checked out at 8:20pm. In any case, extremely poor customer service by their staff. My other coworkers stayed at the nearby Fairfield and had no issues. I guess if you want to have a pleasant time with no issues it "does matter where you stay". Don't recommend.

First off i never do this and leave bad reviews but for the cost of this hotel you expect more and i don't want others being scammed out of their hard-earned money by a 2-star hotel using a corporate name to draw you in thinking it's a true home 2 home suites. This is my second time at this hotel the 1st time was average thought it was new would give it a second shot. My second stay however confirmed my first stay. Issues: 1. I requested an additional blanket upon check in at 8pm an hour later no blanket i had to call a second time to request. 1.5hr later i get my blanket. 2. the front desk takes the phone off the ringer so they can sleep. when i was trying to call for a blanket it was busy the whole time but i called the desk from my personal phone (not room) and they answered like i woke them up at 10pm. 3. breakfast is basically a continental with microwave sausage croissants and waffles. don't Wate your time or money. 4. Loud Street noise. Room 339 Only Plus: 24hr parking security

Front desk was so rude. Would not allow us to use Apple Pay even though we showed ID. Wanted to earn travel miles and had to put on our debit card. We were staying for two night for a dance competition and didn’t have to be there until later. Hotel would not accommodate a late check out of 12:00 even though there was no cars in the parking lot. We will not be back.

The front desk staff is always super friendly and professional. I stay at this hotel very often - probably 15-20 times per year and I often arrive an hour or more before standard check-in time and they almost always accommodate me by letting me check in early and they do it with a smile. I really appreciate that.

Mom traveling with a lot of kids- hotel was nice, clean, and had an excellent breakfast! It is very convenient to a lot of eating options, salons/spas (nails), and only a short drive to downtown San Francisco.

The property can make improvements on service related to towel refreshes and room cleaning. They have switched to a 5 day cycle which is difficult to manage when you have 5 family members.
