An interesting hotel with an old-fashioned vibe. The lounge area was convenient and comfortable for visits with friends while I was in NYC (for only 2 days). Ate lunch at the restaurant once, food was delicious. The bed was comfortable and the city view fun. I thought the shower needed grab bars and the elevators were dim and slow -- my two negative comments.

The Bowery Hotel is a very nice property! Just not worth north of $700 a night kind of nice. The staff are excellent! Attached restaurant is excellent, Gemma. Perhaps they are going for a certain mood or ambience or energy conservation, but I don't like the low, low, low lighting in the hallways, especially in the 3 elevators. This hotel wins the odd low lighting award from me for the last 5 years. This is not safe for many. Rooms have plenty of lighting however. Myself and other guests were having to use our cell phone flashlight app to see the buttons in the elevator! 3 Elevators are small, but quick. Cookies brought to your room in the evening! Nice thick towels! Free coffee in the morning, but you better be an early riser, free coffee is only from 5 AM to 8 AM. Boo-hiss! Bowery you can do better, even Holiday Inn Exp' has much longer free coffee hours. The Bowery has greet beds, very nice soaps, and towels. Noise alert! It is NYC so you WILL hear sirens through most of the night. Free earplugs in the bathroom. Plenty of hot water in the shower or tub. Will I return? Yes, but only for special occasions and the close proximity to my daughter who lives nearby. Side note, look for the very unique cemetery/park that abuts the hotel, can't believe such private green space exist in NYC. A walled garden of sorts, very unique and not much used, no public access. I heard private events can be arranged in that beautiful area.

Three nights here during Halloween and the NYC Marathon was a slice of heaven. From the front desk, housekeeping, bartenders, and doormen; the staff was friendly and helpful beyond expectation. Food and drink service was worth staying in, and the atmosphere was comfortable yet luxurious. Shoutout to Gabriella at the front desk/concierge who located the jacket and dress I left behind and shipped to me immediately. 10 outa 10!

Wonderful weekend stay at the Bowery Hotel in NYC! The ambience is so inviting in the lobby and bar area to relax and sit by the fire. The food at Gemma is excellent and the overall service this weekend was outstanding! I highly recommend this hotel! I will be going back to stay!

If you prefer the nouveau sheen and ostentatious sterility of present-day New York, do not stay here. Please. There are countless banal and pretentious options that would better suit your needs. This is not one of them. However, if you have a desire for subtle luxury and intend to spend some time hibernating with your flame between indulging your impeccable taste via dining, shopping, and consuming once-private collections; book a room. The staff are some of the best I’ve encountered. Anywhere. The lobby is worthy of half a day of loafing. The room service affords 24 hour access to Gemma, the far above average restaurant next door. Hotels like The Bowery instill hope that NYC is still the city so nice they named it twice.

Perhaps there was too much hype for this hotel - but I thought it was fine but not great for the price. Plumbing is bad, room was clean but looked worn and main complaint was how noisy it is. Every night at 10 the bass would start thumping. Staff was friendly and professional.

We arrived early as there was no traffic from the airport, yet we were able to checkin directly and change clothes for our walking around in the City. The room was quiet, comfortable and clean. The lighting in the bathroom ws very good. We'll probably stay here again when we come to the citu.

This is a very dark hotel! In an effort to bring back bygone days the hotel is so dimly lit that you need a flashlight to read in the lobby. The staff was very friendly and attentive but when you stepped into an elevator, you were in the dark. The rooms are very plain but I will say the amenities were very nice. The bed was comfortable and the shower was amazing! The toilet paper was the type that very, very cheap gas station’s might use. All in all I’d say this is a decent place to stay but not at the price they charge.

Loved everything about our stay at the Bowery Hotel a couple weeks ago. We lived in NYC for almost 20 years but left with the pandemic and now come back monthly for a week at a time for work… We have been exploring different hotels/properties/neighborhoods throughout the city to find our “home away from home“ that makes us feel back at home, and loved the easy elegance of the Bowery Hotel, the comfort of the room and quietness of the hotel, despite a busy, bustling neighborhood. Also really appreciated the prompt attention and follow up of Rhys at the Front Desk, who - within an hour of checking out - was able to confirm I’d left something in the room, called me back to tell me he found it and already had it going out via FedEx to my home! 5-star service.

The property was very lovely, but the service at breakfast was very slow. I had to look for someone to take my order. The lobby area was very cold so my breakfast became cold quickly. As I was checking out, I had my suitcase and a carry bag, the man who was at the door opened up the 1st door inside the hotel,but did not offer to open the door leading to the outside. My hands were full.

I stayed at the Bowery for one night. It definitely has a rich mahogany mixed with boho chic vibe but I found the overall experience to be unremarkable. I waited 2hrs for a room and was never texted that it was ready. The staff seemed a bit overwhelmed during check in. The food was good at the restaurant and the room service was very speedy. I didn’t love the area it was in.
