Hotel Bowmann, a Small Luxury Hotel of the World

Lovely hotel in a great location. Would stay again. The room we stayed in (jr suite) was very spacious. There was lots of closet space and storage as well as a nespresso coffee maker and a proper hairdryer that works well. It is a small hotel but has a restaurant and bar. The fitness room is very small. We asked for milk for the cofffee a few times and never received any but other than that, no complaints and we had an all around pleasant and comfortable stay. The area is great as it’s quiet and walkable yet very proximate to the opera shopping area and anywhere else you want to go. If you’re looking for a hotel in the 8th or 9th definitely consider this one.

What I loved about the Bowmann Hotel: towel warmer, robes, bidet, heated floor, spacious shower, well lit mirror all this just for the bathroom. Spacious room for Paris, large TV, quiet area, great staff, delicious meals in restaurant, full bottle of wine, snacks, juices, mineral water all for free in mini fridge. Clean and beautiful atmosphere. Full gym and pool, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi all included. Cookies and candy and lemon water in lobby 24/7. Great working AC in rooms with thermostat. Stayed for 8 days and loved it.

With the exception of several wonderful staff members (Ramy at the front desk, Omar in the restaurant and the bellmen) our stay at the Bowmann was extremely disappointing. We booked the suite with the hot tub to treat ourselves (our father became ill on our trip and had to go to the hospital). When we arrived, the hot tub was empty and we were told it would be filled. After a few hours, it was partially filled and cold. After complaining, they said it would be fixed. It was not. The next day, we tried again. They said it had been fixed. It was not and we asked them to come see for themselves. When they did see that it was cold they were apologetic but said there was nothing they could do. We spent almost $5000 and were offered a discount of $139 when we checked out. Thankfully, hotels.com was able to refund us 10%. The worst part was that the hotel manager did not seem to even care about our situation or that we were disappointed by an experience that we had hoped would lift our spirits in a difficult time. Thank you to hotels.com for trying to make things right.

Don't stay at the Bowmann unless you want all your whims catered to! Absolutely superior personalized service. Concergie Gerald is a whiz with recommendations and renovations and the whole staff treated us Royally. Spa and Pool area are top notch. Comfortable rooms, great location. A perfect stay 10/10

We enjoyed an absolutely perfect stay at Hotel Bowmann. Everyone there just could not have been nicer and more helpful, the rooms were very pretty, quiet, clean, and comfortable, the breakfast spread was generous, the property itself is gorgeous, and the location is terrific. The pool and spa areas needed a little bit of freshening up, but that is such a minor quibble because it's amazing to find an indoor pool, hot tub, steam room/sauna at all in a Parisian hotel. The pool is very large! We booked a "family room" which is two adjoining rooms in a wing each with one king bed. This was not cheap but it was very comfortable for our family's stay in Paris. Highly recommend this hotel.

Nice small hotel in a nice area. The service was great, almost too friendly. The staff was helpful and prompt. The property itself is a little dated and could use a refresh. Some of the amenities took a bit to figure out or just worked very slowly. Heating was a little wonky. They limit the max temperature, which is fine, but it was a little temperamental and was too cold or too hot. The pool/spa area was fine but also showing it's age. The hot tub was just cleaned and cold but that wasn't communicated well to us. The rest of the spa didn't work, such as the steam room or the foot soak. Overall it was a nice stay with great service, but for the cost, the property itself was lacking.

Great boutique hotel, great staff. Slightly disappointed we couldn't operate the steam room or sauna properly, instructions on wall did not correspond to the actual controls.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Wonderful concierge service. Clean rooms. Excellent location, close to the Metro, shopping, and good restaurants. We will stay here again.

This hotel gets a D- ! The front desk staff is very cold…They love their phones. Never a nice word as you come in and out. That restaurant staff was friendly. Killed a roach in my room. So I took off points in the “clean” category. I definitely would not qualify it as luxurious… They should learn a thing or 2 from The Fauchon Hotel which is at a similar price point.

The property is very clean & updated. Very friendly staff. 12 min drive to everything. Would definitely stay here again!

I have only and ONLY great things to say! Thorgan was the front desk who helped us entire time. Gerald was the concierge. Our entire trip was amazing thanks to the staff and hotel. It was my wife’s birthday. They gave us a compliment bottle of wine. Helped us with luggage. It felt as if our room was cleaned 3-4 times a day. Every time we left and came back our room was cleaned with fresh towel and fresh bedding. We would love to stay here again. So clean. It’s safe. GREAT area. We have been in Paris 3 times and this is our favorite time and favorite hotel. Now we know we’re only going to be staying at the Bowman. It’s also so close to everything. You could walk, train, or bus anywhere around. Can’t wait to be back.

Hotel Bowman was a wonderful stay for myself and a group of friends. We each had a Haussmann suite and stayed for a couple of nights. From the moment we entered the hotel we were treated so well! The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. We felt totally taken care of. Special mentions to Guy and Malcom, who made our experience exceptional! It’s located just 9 minutes from the Arc fu Triomphe and other landmarks. The balcony views were stunning! We had a real Parisian experience!

We had a great stay in the penthouse. The accommodation was great and the views of Paris from the terrace were spectacular. The staff were really attentive and the central location of the hotel was perfect to head out into the different parts of the city. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Lovely, large room, comfortable bed, spacious and clean.

For the price at almost $1500. per night, I expected more from this hotel stay. The size of the room was good but the chandelier had to get fixed; the toilet didn’t work correctly and the AC had to be fixed also. This had me staying in the room, calling front desk and waiting for someone to come fix it which is a waste of our precious time on vacation.

Spacious room, high ceilings. Beautifully decorated, old and new mixed. Upscale atmosphere, very relaxing feeling. The staff very polite and professional. Waking distance to restaurants, coffee shops, art galleries, shoppings and the metro. Money well spent. Definitely staying here again.

The experience I had at this hotel was absolutely terrible. We were locked out of our room one evening because of the hotel issues with the door and the hotel did absolutely nothing for us. I was traveling with my sister who is extremely diabetic and needed her medication in our room and they explained that there was nothing they could do. It was the person on desk first evening and he had no idea how to handle this issue. He said there was no one who he could call or nothing he could do. I personally had to find a way to open the door on my own. This is completely inappropriate. When we went to the front desk in the morning asking for compensation for this, they explained there was nothing they could do because we booked through Expedia. At the price we paid for this hotel is beyond unacceptable. They did not care what so ever about about my sisters health condition. If I do not receive some sort of compensation I will never book through Expedia again.

Stayed for business. After checking out they billed me for an item from the mini bar without checking or informing me. I had to call and they informed me they made a mistake. As a five star and the 2x cost of the hotel per night compared to hotels with similar rooms, food and quality, this was unacceptable. You pay the 2x price for the “supreme service”. In this case they would have just taken £35 if I didn’t notice when checking bills a few days later. They refunded the cost after asking me to sort out an email with the details (more overheads) and sent me an email with an apology. If you are going to operate as the highest quality rated hotel at £400 per night, you cannot afford to make mistakes of any size, and if you do, an email apology does not cut it. Similar quality hotel as the local 4* - would not class this as a 5* or stay ever again based on this experience. Poor show, 4* quality at best.

We are a couple in our 60s and stayed 3 nights in October 2023. Pros: Clean, in a delightful french provincial design, nice spacious room, very high tech bathroom with heated floors, a bidet, large walk-in shower and USB plugs. Nicely updated. Friendly Staff. Cons: Communication Mishaps. Staff at the front desk did not know of any breakfast places nearby to recommend for a pastry but highly recommended a place about a 15 min walk but it was a macaroon place. Hotel should have nearby restaurants to recommend. I tried calling down to get a washcloth. After several tries and no answer, I went downstairs. The front desk said they didn't have them but would call housekeeping for more hand towels. Then housekeeping sent up washcloths but why didn't reception know? There was a concierge desk but I never saw anyone at it. Finally, we told the night receptionist we would need a taxi at 6:30 AM. This person did not relay the message. 6:30AM we went downstairs and nobody was at the front desk. A manager soon appeared and told us the receptionist was helping someone. After about 10 min we started to panic. This manager tried very hard to get us a taxi but no taxis were available. About 20 min later, the reception guy showed up for work. They both tried to call taxis but they were impossible to get at that time. Fortunately after many tries, my husband found an Uber. I would not stay here again due to the problems with reception.

Hotel Bowmann is a 5-STAR hotel so I expected a 5-STAR experience. However, below was my experience so far. 1. Bathroom rack was broken the on first day. Called couple a times and finally got someone to fix, which took us more than 1 hour spending in the room monitoring the maintenance. Hello? Excuse me? We are in a hotel, so in our own house dealing with this shxt. 2. The system was a mess with staff entering the info manually through paper. The result was we were overcharged of $1,000 Euro. Insanely crazy. (Still no one get back to us on refund) 3. Then coffee machine was broken and fixed the day after. 4. Flagged the issue to the manager and waited for 5 days but no one gave a shxt. 5. We stayed for 6 nights and sometimes we have to ask for water bottle refill by ourselves. 6. During check-in, no one helped a pregnant woman for luggage but standing them shrugging with ignorance. Simply they do not care about customer. Thank you so much. Still waiting for the manager to get back. But this is absolutely NOT a 5-star experience. To be fair, location is decent, 15 walk from shopping area. But not worth the money and time to spend your vacation. Do Not Recommend. Please don’t not come!!!

Great property, excellent staff. The staff and personnel couldn't be more friendly. The hotel is very clean and well kept. No complaints. I would stay here again (I wish it were a bit less pricey). An overall excellent and welcoming stay. Recommended.

We had an fab stay at the hotel. It was the perfect location for us - away from busy noisy parts but still walking distance to all the shopping and attractions. Room was ace, clean and modern Staff were brilliant - special shout out to asma and Guy the butler. Guy(pronounced Ghey) was fantastic, nothing was too much for him. He made my birthday very special. Got me a very delicious cake which was very sweet of him. Shout out to Gerald at the concierge he was excellent, very well connected. He helped us to book the tickets for the attractions. Overall the staff, location and experience of our stay was brilliant. You get what you pay for, a true 5 star experience. Will definitely be returning to this hotel.

Great hotel, excellent location

Beautiful property. I bit off of the main attractions but that’s what a make safe. If ur main goal is to hit flagship stores of big fashion houses like Hermès n Cartier-my only reason in Paris-this is the perfect location. Quiet, clean n safe. Easy walk(5-7mins) to Hermes n Cartier, 10 mins walk to Champs-Élysées.

Hotel Bowmann is a charming hotel and it is centrally located. It has a nice restaurant and bar on site and room service is 24 hours. But, what makes this place amazing is the staff!! Professional and friendly. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome. We thoroughly enjoyed our Christmas holiday at Hotel Bowmann.

Were flying bugs in bar first day so never drank there. Told front desk but did not seem to care. Last day was charged 35 Euros for full breakfast but just had tea and coffee and Croissant

Excellent hotel in a stylish area. Lots of restaurants nearby, we recommend the Bistro des Sommeliers next door. Breakfast was a bit disorganised, We will probably stay again.

Beautiful hotel, comfortable rooms, impeccably clean. For a luxury hotel however I wouldn’t expect the phone in the room not to work. I couldn’t order room service and couldn’t call for help with my luggage when checking out. Although I reported this, it wasn’t fixed. Breakfast options limited, with only omelets available as eggs on request (eggs Benedict not available). The spa was amazing. The best thing was the extremely helpful receptionist who gave me recommendations for places to eat and even tried to make a reservation for me. The hotel is beautiful however it doesn’t meet luxury standards. Location is excellent! The main reason I chose the hotel was the views from the rooftop, however this is in fact a part of a particular room. I understand that this is not the fault of the hotel itself but rather how it was advertised on Hotels.com, but it was disappointing as I had very different expectations.
