we really liked our room and balcony ,the pool area was really nice ,staff were also very nice ,disappointed with the lifts as broke down a few times and was stuck in 1 for about 4 min, a bit scary when you have a phobia also only 1 lift working out of 3.

The pool was not open and we were not told ahead of time. The hotel used to have a animal sanctuary on top that has closed down and that was not stated anywhere on the website. The room temperature controls fluctuated and we couldn't stabilize them. Good staff.

My partner and i absolutely LOVED the pullman reef hotel! We cannot recomend this property highly enough and would definitely stay again ourselves in the future. One of the loveliest things was being able to wake up each morning to being able to go down to the hotel's restaurant where we were able to choose from a variety of ala carte options plus a coffee and juice. The service was very quick and the seating is very private. We had tried almost everything on the menu by the end of our stay and the quality was just exceptionql. The breakfast was available as an add on extra when we booked our flights + accommodation package for a very minimal cost per person and we couldnt believe how much value we got for our money by adding it in! All of the pullman staff from check in to check out were so polite, helpful and professional - they all make you feel like royalty and the bellhop service was very helpful. The room itself was very spacious compared to other standard hotel rooms and had the most fabulous bathroom complete with a spa bath and a shower that had a long bench seat inside the cubile with plenty of space to put your belongings which was perfect for long, luxurious showers and would also be very suitable for guests with mobility difficulties. We loved the plush king bed with multiple pillow options, well stocked mini bar and small but cosy balcony. The free parking included with the room was very useful for the city area too.

The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel is in a decent location and within walking distance to plenty of food, people watching, the marina, city pool & shopping. The room was decently decorated and the beds were very comfortable. The only weird thing for us yanks coming from the U.S., there were no vent fans in the toilet room or shower/bathroom which was quite odd as when someone uses the toilet room you're stuck smelling their poo smell. It appeared during our stay that the hotel only had 1 operational elevator out of 3 going up to guest rooms.

It’s a beautiful (albeit slightly ageing) gem. Great pool, gym needs a refresh/rethink but still one of my favorite hotels - staff are friendly and hotel cleaning staff keep the place looking beautiful

The corner room was amazing possibly 1,000 sq feet or more. Beautiful view of the park and waterway. Breakfast restaurant was ok but definitely not 4 or 5 star. Casino is connected.

Overall I was very happy with the hotel during both of my stays. My room last night had a nice balcony overlooking the pool. Unfortunately, the hotel saw fit to close the pool for a week, and work was being performed outside and below me

This was a very average hotel. The common areas and carpets are showing signs of wear. The carpet in our room was quite badly stained. On a positive, the staff were friendly.

The property is rated 5 stars but it is more like 4 stars at best. It is a casino hotel and the staff was helpful. The property is older and while the room was a good size and had good features, the condition is somewhat worn. The carpets were stained and the hallway had a definite odor at least on the 2nd floor .

Staff were excellent, very polite and helpful, our room was very nice, but some aspects of the hotel were very run down, eg the carpets on our floor were faded and no longer flat - large ripples forming hazards in the corridor. Our balcony had a lot of bird poop on it, making it pretty unappealing. Also, we could look out across to the old dome area and there is a lot of black mould on the walls there - pretty off-putting. Overall, not what I expected given the ads and price.

I didnt like all the mould in the bathrooms, spa bath didnt work. Some of the staff were amazing. The maintenance guy spoke to me like i was an idiot, like i didnt know how to use a spa bath. Maybe they should give there cleaners more time to clean properly. That way there wouldn't be mould built up in bathrooms. It wasnt worth the money I spent, wont recommend it to any of my friends. The in dinning wasn't worth the money, it arrived cold . To sum it up it was very disappointing.

Very nice rooms, very helpful and responsive staff, nice outlook, good bed, street noise from yelling drunken people not so nice, two cockroaches one in the bathroom and one in the bedroom which I discovered the next morning. I terminated their lodgings.

Stayed in a standard king room and it was super spacious and comfortable. Staff were wonderful. My only downer would be the light at night from the timber blinds. I’m one of those who enjoy a dark room for sleeping. Please sort out the carpark ticketing as we daily attended reception to sort out our parking as well. Will definitely stay here if we come back to Cairns.

Our aircon in our room wasn't working properly and we had to change rooms, but of a hassle considering we were only staying 2 nights they gave us a bottle of champagne and water...though a cheese player would have been nice... when I checked out they said they under charged me, you would think the hassle they would have waived it

Friendly staff, great location and good room. The spa bath in the room was disappointing because the overflow outlet is conservatively low making it impossible to get anything but your legs under water. So it’s more of a leg spa unless you are very very short. I won’t bother to upgrade next time.

The service at this hotel was terrible. our room airconditioner did not work properly and our room would get down to 19 degrees centigrade at night. The engineers said they could not do anything about it. The taxi to take us to the airport did not show up and the front desk people basically said that they could not do anything about it. I had to ask for everything several times to get what I was asking for. Overall, I was not happy with the service provided in this hotel.

Everything is wonderful at this hotel APART from the breakfast. It’s a la carte! Who on earth has time to wait for that when you have tours that leave 7:30/8am. It’s impractical. We arrived and got a take away coffee 25 mins after getting there. Service is SOOOOOOOOOOO slow. They need to change this pronto. Ruined an otherwise 5 star hotel.

Very helpful and pleasant staff! The gentlemen at the concierge desk were so wonderful. I should have written down their names to give hem credit. They were really informative and went out of their way to help us. The property is in a wonderful location. Easy walk to restaurants and shopping. Our room had a balcony looking over the greenery from the park. I would recommend it and would definitely stay again.

This hotel was welcoming, perfectly positioned for Reef boats and great restaurants. The room was large and well equipped with a superb comfortable bed. We enjoyed the pool area. It is mostly in great condition but just a little tidying on the pool area over head posts appearance is needed. The breakfast was very good and fairly priced on a La carte. The concierge Matt was an absolute STAR and so willing to help with everything. He knew everything about tourist needs and even when you could get a better deal away from the hotel. He should be given special commendation by the hotel. He was even interested in what we had been doing and how it went!

I was very happy with this hotel. The room was spacious with a nice view. The hotel breakfast was excellent. I had it every morning. The staff was very polite and helpful when I made requests. For example, I asked for a late checkout and they added an hour. The hotel was fully booked that day, so it was a very fair concession. The convenience of the hotel cannot be overstated. It’s close to shopping and numerous attractions in downtown Cairns. I had a helicopter ride one morning and it was only a 10 minute walk to the helipad. Next time I’m in Cairns, I will be staying here.

This was a wonderful place to stay and visit the Great Barrier Reef. The hotel is perfectly located, with a 5 minute walk to the marina where all the tours begin for the Great Barrier Reef. The staff were so friendly and helpful in the most wonderful way, and a special thank you to Jacob. The restaurants and their staff were so kind, and the food ever so generous and delicious. Not to forget their amazing breakfasts, any meal will be a great start to your day of sightseeing. Our rooms were clean, quiet and spacious with a lovely view of the city. All in all a truly magical experience. Highly recommend staying here.

We loved it's proximity to the waterfront and wonderful restaurants nearby.....all very walkable. Also easy access to downtown Cairns and all the shops it offers. It was a great combination of quiet but access to a fun casino for a change of pace!

What a beautiful hotel , we were only staying for one night but it was amazing! We ate in the tamarind restaurant which was one of a choice of five , it was really good ! Staff at the hotel were all very friendly and helpful , sorry we weren’t staying longer ! If we are ever back in Cairns this will be our first choice !

Amazing! The staff were helpful and friendly. The rooms were spacious, beds comfortable, and the hotel was clean. The breakfast was the best we\'ve ever had for a free breakfast. The bathrooms in the room were great; separate "room" for the toilet. Hotel is easy walk to the harbor. We loved everything about this hotel. Would stay again and highly recommend.
