Staff is very friendly. Great value for weekday stays. 24 hour McDonalds next door. Close to shops and restaurants. Rooms are spacious, comfortable, clean, and decorated nicely. Fridge and microwave were nice amenities to have. Property has security for guests. Only complaints are the pool was not clean and the weekend rate was over $600 for two nights. Overall a great place to stay. Highly recommended. Would stay there again. You can see they invested a lot in upgrading guest rooms, but there’s definitely room for improvement on the rest of the property.

Room was very large and spotlessly clean. Bed was super comfortable. Plenty of free parking. Microwave and refrigerator in room. Did not have clothes hangers or a luggage rack, so had to use a chair to slow my suitcase and the ends of the shelf where the hangers should have been to hang my clothes.Check in and check out was quick and efficient, staff were friendly. I wouldn't hesitate staying here again.

I had a good experience here! The only thing is that there were a few gnats inside our room but other than that it was convenient, had a pool, and fast food establishments at a walkable distance.

They just remodeled the rooms so decent rooms for the price. The pool was cold as heck and very small but it what it is. There is a McDonads right there and it’s actually a cool McDs. They have a big playground, games for kids to play and more. Honestly one of the coolest McD’s we’ve been too. For the price, this is a good deal for a room for the night.

The floor was dirty and slippery, almost oily. The sheets had been laundered but were stained. The walls and paint were in bad condition. There was no holder for toilet paper. The bathroom counter was not clean. There was soap scum in the shower. Lots of noise from neighbors and the refrigerator. The microwave was al dented up and looked awful. No closet or place to hang clothes or get luggage off the floor besides the chairs.

This place was so dirty, it's like they don't clean between guests! So much hair everywhere and nasty stains on the blanket and sheets.

I checked in at around 9 pm and all the towels were slightly wet. Found cockroaches in the bathroom every night, all outside sounds can be heard thru the door, floors were dirty and I could hear every footstep from the room above.

Not only was the room really grimy and dirty (grime on the walls, mold around the bottom of the tub, bad smell when walking in), but the beds were very uncomfortable and saggy in the middle.

Rooms here are very very spacious. You literally could, if you wanted to, slide the king size mattress right off the bed frame onto the floor and still have enough floor space to walk between the bed frame and now the mattress on the floor along with between the mattress and the wall that has the bathroom on the other side of it. Not to mention the good 5’ft to 6’ft between the foot of both frame and bed to the wall that divides the rooms. Besides being ridiculously spacious, all rooms have microwaves & refrigerators at no extra charge. You can’t say that if you stay at Motel “?”. But at least they’ll leave the light on for ya. That way you can see that to can’t keep your food cold or heat up whatever the heck you’d like to heat up. LoL Oh yeah there’s a McDonald’s directly across the parking lot maybe 45’ft to 50’ft from your Valli Hi room door to the front door of McDonalds.

Valley high was better than expected with large room, comfortable beds, good lighting, very adequate table and chairs. Plenty of hot water, shower was good, bathroom was small but adequate and large separate counter with sink and large mirror. Would have been nice to have some tissues.. tv, microwave, refrigerator all worked very well.

Clean rooms no smell refrigerator and microwave no iron no safe. No coffee machine you can ask for iron from the front desk. There is no smells on the rooms. Beds and pillows could be better but it is what it is for the price.

Property was great. The only new experience was that we were talking to the staff through a window. Almost felt like we were talking to a bank teller behind a glass window ( but standing on the outside. The staff was courteous; the location was convenient and the rooms were clean. Overall recommendation is great - but was a little surprised by the window transaction. Not sure if it was for any security precautions.

Staff was very rude and unhelpful. I couldn’t check in because my first name was wrong (sister booked for me). I had my ID and card I paid with and confirmation email but that was no good for her. I couldn’t get a refund and she didn’t seem to want to help me change the name on the booking. When asked to talk to a manager she said no and walked away. Finally after figuring out how to change the name on the reservation ON MY OWN, she gave me the keys and the room was very dirty.

Check in with staff great. I hate when you have a room available and you have requested an early check in, especially after a stressful drive, you charge extra money! So had to wait for hours and feel homeless until I could get in a little earlier .. I really do t feel like it’s worth it to stay there anymore.

The Valli Hi was everything I needed and expected it to be -- convenient, clean and comfortable. The location is just off the freeway and you can get a view right into Mexico from the second-floor balcony. Staff was efficient with both check-in and check-out. Slept well, and that's what counts!

The overall stay was good. Had a lot of hair in the bathroom, which is a pet-peeve for me. Other than that, pretty clean room. McDonald’s is right next door, so that’s good for a quick bite if needed. It’s walkable from the motel. Staff was friendly, but had to talk through a window at all times, which was hard for communication. Don’t know if it’s a safety thing, but couldn’t communicate well. Hard to hear. Overall, it was a good stay for the price.

It’s a Great value and nice to be able to walk less than 100 yards to McDonalds or the Convenience Store. A 4-5 minute drive to the Border Crossing.

It was OK. It's an older place but if you're looking for an inexpensive place to crash, it does the job. Right next door to McD. Plenty of TV channels. Would rate the service higher but they missed a day of changing towels and taking out trash.

The area is busy and crowded. It's an old city near Camp Pendleton. The hotel itself was nice though. I used Uber eats when I needed anything from town. Just made my stay a bit more relaxing not having to drive in that town.
