• You are responsible for reading email information and house rules. Your booking is reliant on this information and house rules. Breaking house rules may result in your booking being terminated without refund.
• We have a zero tolerance for entitled, rude or antisocial behaviour. You will forfeit your booking and receive no refund when evicted.

• All payments are charged to credit cards as we have a contactless check in process and 2-day non-refundable cancellation period.
CHECK IN
• You may check in from 2pm, and late check in is also possible. After 10pm, please be considerate of other guests and be very quiet, in particular in dorms.
• Contactless self-check in is easy. We'll email you instructions at 11am on the day of check in. Reception desk is open in the mornings, often we’re around throughout the afternoon and we are available by mobile for inhouse guests 24 hours for anything urgent.
CHECK OUT
• You may leave before reception at No.14 and/or Blue Mountains Bag Storage near the station open at 9am. Bags can be stored in a cupboard in the library, if necessary, until 1pm. You still must return your keys at No.14 before you leave. Ring the doorbell to get back in before 1pm. Tuesdays & Wednesdays, you may store you stuff at No.14 until 5pm because the Bag Storage shop is closed.
• Keys not returned to the office by 10am checkout incur a $50 charge, lost keys incur a $250 charge.
PEACE & QUITE - NOT A PARTY HOSTEL
• No TVs, music etc is on purpose, so please don't listen to your own stuff on speaker.
• We are not a party hostel. Our house Is over 110 Years old and noise travels easily here at night. Quiet hours are from 10pm to 7am. This includes in your room as well as common areas. The outside deck and verandah are off limits unless in total silence after 10pm, in respect of our neighbors.
CHILD POLICY
• We do not accommodate babies or children for individual guesthouse bookings. This policy is not negotiable on arrival or if discovered during your stay. You will forfeit your payment and must leave.
• All ages are welcome for full house private bookings only, not individual guesthouse room bookings.
NO LONG-TERM ACCOMMODATION
• We do not provide long term accommodation, or work-for-accommodation arrangements. We are best suited to short stay visitors not long-term travelers.
• You may book for a maximum stay of seven (7) nights.
NO SMOKING / VAPING ETC
From 1 January 2026, we are 100% smoke / vape free.
SECURITY & PRIVACY (including visitors)
Only registered guests are permitted at our property. Friends or family are welcome to come inside briefly to drop you off or pick you up, but they cannot hang out at the house.
For everyone’s safety, please do not allow anyone else into the house—if you let someone in, you may be held responsible for their actions.
To help keep everyone safe and comfortable, security devices may be in place in our common areas and property exterior. Rest assured, there are no devices in bedrooms or the shared bathroom!
HOSTELWORLD CHANGES
Hostelworld system doesn’t sync on a few things with our policies. Hostelworld suggest we add an important note or "Term & Conditions" to mention the related information. And let the guests know to avoid generating issue bookings.
