Room was clean and comfortable. (Paid) breakfast was quite good. Restaurant room had a sticky floor, wobbly tables, etc. (Just not really up to Hilton standards, although server was great.) Gym room was clean but had virtually nothing in the way of work out equipment etc. So, good room but common areas could use work. Street outside was dirty, etc, But that is the state of NYC recently, unfortunately.

I checked in a bit late at night and struggled to find their parking spot ( which is located separately ), and then I was not aware of the additional $75/day cost of the parking lot so that came with a surprise. If you book a room here, better get a NY subway for ease of access instead of renting a car to get to this place. Otherwise, nice location within the heart of Manhattan.

The elevator has a horrible wait time. We waited everyday from the 22nd floor for over 20 minutes each day. The last day we carried our luggage down 22 flights of stairs as we had waited 25 min for the elevator. The breakfast was decent though. Would not stay here again because of the wait time of the elevators in the morning.

We have stayed at this property several time; however, this time was the worst. Half way through our stay the one of the property's elevators failed to work. And my family and I had to wait for hours to go up and/or down for approximately 45 minutes to an hour. To make matters worse we stayed on the 28th floor. Also, we had to walk 28 floors a few times. I asked to speak to the GM and he/she was not in site during our stay. Additionally, I requested the the GM call my cell both at the property and several times following our stay. I never got a returned call. As a Hilton Honors Gold Member I would have thought I would be given the courtesy of a discussion with the GM. I will never stay at this property again!

I didn’t like the hotel facilities at all. The entrance is dirty and smells bad, the red carpets are filthy, there are only 2 elevators for 28 floors, staff with cleaning stuff equipment and guests, the lau dry facilities are not cery clean, the comvenirnt store lacks choices, The coraning time is unpredictable. The neighbors are noisy. The menu option is poor. The breakfaat staff is nice and polite.

As soon as i walked in my room it was such a RELIEF! to walk into a CLEAN & TIDY ROOM. No stains anywhere no dust no dirty linens just a good ol' fashion clean room the way they used to be. THANK YOU FOR MAKING ME FEEL COMFORTABLE & RIGHT AT HOME! I even walked to the Rockefeller Center and hung out got some great pics. I Soooo Enjoyed my stay and Hilton played a HUGE role in it! I could not recommend this hotel enough! You wont be disappointed. Thank you

Bathroom smelled like mildew. Toilet tree items were not refilled. So body wash soap or empty. Linen seemed worn. I guess it’s expected considering the inexpensive rate that was advertised. I did the job. I would say Manhattan scenery made the trip worth my while. Not so much the hotel.

Towels and bedding stained. Water doesn’t really get too hot. Strange smells, especially right out side. There was a man taking photos to send to his boss of the filthy carpets in the lobby and said “these are so dirty I need to send photos to my boss” … Next door to a couple sports bars so it does get quite noisy at night. It was good for what was needed, but I don’t think I’ll be staying here again.

Something needs to be done about the window treatments. Blackout shades would have been good as the neighborhood is well let at all hours, and even more important, they would provide some privacy. Our curtains never closed completely, especially when the HVAC unit below them was blowing. We could see into rooms across the street, so people there could probably see into us.

I left my eyeglasses in the room on checkout. Nobody would answer the front desk phone in about 10 attempted calls. I went by there and was told “there’s no lost and found log” of said item being found. Basically just didn’t do anything other than check a log. Room was loud, lots of hallway noise. “Restaurant” was dirty and run down. I think there are better places to stay for the $. Location is good for easy access to subway though.

Property overbooked the hotel rooms and we were told they cannot find our reservation, even though we showed proof of reservation. Staff was dismissive and said we need to contact Expedia since they cannot do anything to rectify the situation, even if they wanted, being overbooked already. How can you be overbooked if somebody didn't make an error when accepting reservations? We had to book last minute, at double price another hotel across the street.

We had a reservation set up for months. Showed up from hotel and was told that our room was canceled due to overbooking. Did not get any help finding a new room or help from the staff. Was absolutely terrible experience. Wouldnt recommend a Hilton to anyone ever after such a horrible experience.

Pros: Great location! Laundry was great to have. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The towels were in the hallway, so that was convenient! Cons: Room was small for 4 people. Stayed 6 nights and only received service on the room once, leaving us having to ask for toilet paper and trash removal. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT pay for the breakfast! I’ve had better breakfasts at Best Westerns and they were free.

I only stayed one night but I do not recommend this hotel. My room was next to the elevator and I constantly heard a loud noise when the elevators go up and down. The elevators are constantly in use. For breakfast there is no counter with several options. You have to order according to what is available that day. There was only one egg/sausage sandwich or waffle . No thanks. The room is okay but nothing more. It's small and starting to smell old.

To start. The air conditioning in the room turns off after about 20 minutes of no movement in the room. It was very warm in the city and the air would shut off at night and you would have to move your arm to get it to start to cool again. Unless you like your room warm or maybe cold in the winter stay somewhere else. Breakfast at this hotel is a scam. Don't pay for it and go somewhere else. We paid for this for 3 days and never was able to get the buffet, bacon or maple syrup. We felt like we had to make the best of it. When you cant get a single meal on the menu they provide without missing something its a bit much. We expected much more. Especially when we paid extra for the breakfast. I really can't recommend this place. It looked clean. Beds were ok. Poor breakfast service. Hot rooms.

We enjoyed a 3-night stay at the Hilton Garden Inn - Midtown East. It was super convenient to lots of attractions and the subway. Being just a few blocks off the action made it quieter at night for better sleep! The staff was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed warm drinks in the lobby each morning -- especially given the cold weather. We would stay here again.

The hotel location is excellent as it's right by a subway station. There are coffee shops near by. The elevators have long wait time just like any other high-rise hotels in NYC. If I have to nitpick: I feel the water bottles should be complimentary for Hilton Honor's members and not just for Silver. But the hotel does have a water refilling station, which is a plus. The AC's fan is always on even when it isn't cooling. If you enjoy constant fan airflow then you'll like it. But for me, not so much. But it's probably needed to ensure the air within the building is always circulating? And I wish the bar area can let the guests to use the tables and chairs to rest even when the bar isn't open. Overall the staffs are helpful and responsive, and the room quality is good.
