The location is great and that was the reason for me to choose the stay at this property. However, the facilities and infrastructure is old and not maintained. Air conditioning was not working, neither was the wifi connection. Throughout the stay the responsibility was passed on from the receptionist to technician to former owner. Rather than that if the effort is taken to repair and get new pieces of equipments at the property then it would be great. Overall it was an unpleasant experience

There was no one there to clean the rooms during our entire stay which was a week. We had to ask for a new towels and more toilet paper ourselves. I asked if someone can make the bed while we were away but it wasn't done. Speaking of the bed, the sheets kept coming off each night which made for a terrible sleep being out and about throughout the day, there was a lot of debris brought in from shoes etc. but the floor was never vacuumed so it was extremely filthy and you couldn't walk around without shoes. Trying to get the TV to work was a nightmare because there was no instructions and every time the TV was turned off, once turned on you had to go to the TV select the input and turn it to HDMI to input every time before you can watch cable. Had to figure that out on our own. One of the main reasons booking that hotel, was because of the pool. It should stay that it's unavailable due to damage rather than it's not open at that time because I booked in April and assumed it wasn't open only because of the season now because it was needing to be repaired. So maybe remove pool images from the booking page or at least display that it's not going to be in service at all. Thing I enjoyed about this day was the fact that there was a microwave in the fridge which was handy for eating leftovers and that it had an air conditioner as well and that most of the channels to watch TV and movies were available i.e. NBA playoffs which was a treat.

It's a beautiful area, but this property is in disrepair. The only way I found the place at night was because Google Maps told me where to turn. There was a sign, but it was unlit, and no lights in the parking lot. I drove over a curb into a "landscaped" feature, but it was all dead anyway. Upon check-in, I had to go back to the office to get toilet paper. There were what looked like donut sprinkles in the bathtub, and the coffee machine had not been cleaned out from the previous use. The bed was comfortable, but no care was taken when making it up. I noted dust and debris under the bed and furniture. The AC unit was held in by cardboard, and the window, which boasted a beautiful view, was streaky and dirty. I'm not sure what's going on with this place. Although I needed a cheap place to stay for a conference, I'm glad I didn't have to spend more time there. The internet connection was stable, however, for a two-hour Zoom meeting. I did appreciate that.

Half the motel was boarded up. The pictures on the web site did not show the true condition of this horrible motel. Rooms were dirty, could not secure the door or window, garbage outside rooms, old equipment in the parking lot. I have never been to a worse property in my life. I don't know how this motel passes their inspections.

I booked this thinking it was the (good) motel to the northeast. Boy was that a mistake. DO NOT STAY HERE! The property should be condemned. Carpeted floor was sticky, bedsheets smelled heavily fumigated (days later I still retch when I think of that smell), bathtub tap ran constantly, mildew all over the bathroom. Air conditioner was extremely loud and blew air right to the head of the bed. The doorframe looked like it had been kicked in a few times and was not professionally repaired. Parts of the property are boarded up and others covered in debris. The Expedia listing says "Pool not available in winter" but the pool was empty when we arrived in late July. The clerk at the front desk said their listing said that there was no pool available - until I pulled out my phone and showed her the listing. I had booked online through Expedia for around $100/night but on checking the listing they are letting rooms go for as low as $50. When we arrived there were a few dodgy looking people lounging outside of a room just down from ours; when we returned from dinner one of them was in the process of being arrested by the RCMP. We had a four day reservation and I checked out after the first night, then had to fight with Expedia for a couple of days to get the last three days refunded. We moved to the Grandview Motel next door and were happy to see a property that was very comfortable, clean, and well-maintained.

Bathroom - green stained tub, 4 foot high shower nozzle, sink tap isn’t attached just gravity held Kitchen area - oven is greasy, top of cupboard sticky greasy, microwave has more yellow than white Beds - comfortable, sheets clean, top cover coffee stained like A/C - room was cool, couldn’t figure how to turn it off, held in with red tuck tape, every 45 minutes or so make higher pitch squeal for about 15 minutes Pool - drained and sludgy and was told it’s been shut down for a while Room - carpet has a 4 ft by 8 ft section cut and replaced, I wonder what happened there? The pool was not open. There was no water in the pool and needed maintenance. The pictures advertised didn't match the property. Very run down and old motel. The staff was nice and gave me a refund for second night.

This hotel is in disrepair. We couldn't open the sliding door and it was held shut with a 2x4 and a sign saying it is broken. The mini fridge froze our food and there were cobwebs in the bathroom.

The room was extremely dirty. There were stains on the walls, it smelled like stale air and cigarettes. Also, some if the outlets didn't work, including the ones in the bathroom. There was mouse droppings in the draws of the tv stand. There was clumps of hair and blood stains on the bed sheets. The curtains had holes in them. There was garbage under and around the bed. The tub and shower curtain were filthy and the stained. The bathroom vanity was covered in cobwebs and sand on the counter. The housekeeping/maintenance workers constantly smoked weed outside our room with other guests. There was broken glass outside the window all over the ground. The A/C was only held by duct tape on the wall, and the hotel floor looked like it had not been vacuumed and the bathroom floor was dirty as well. On a positive note, the front desk lady was very friendly, kind, caring, helpful, and was quick to get us at least new bedding and bathroom linen. She is definitely the heart of the place. I can't say the same for the maintenance/housekeeping staff. I feel like if she was fully in charge, the place wouldn't be so dirty. Other than that, the purpose of our stay was merely a place to sleep.

Very bad room. Chunks of carpet are missing on the flood, the tub faucet continually runs, the tub doesn’t look clean at all, there is no tub stopper for a bath, there looks to be black mold in the bathroom, but it is centrally located and pet friendly.

There was no safety lock on the front door. The cable tv did not work. The bathtub was aged and damaged with cracks. The kitchenette flooring was aged and damaged. The air conditioner was badly installed. the carpet was aged and water damaged. The kitchen counter was broken. There was a dog barking next door. I did not want to sleep here I didn't not feel safe and it did not feel clean. The sheets of both beds were dirty. I had expected a king sized bed from my order and got two twin sized beds. There were no security bars on the windows of a ground level unit, a broom stick was the only thing keeping it closed. The room was not clean. There were still objects like lipstick on the floor behind the bed. I could not stay here. I called for a ride almost immediately and I left the unit after a thirty mins. I checked out the next morning. I've never felt so unsafe in any travel accommodations in thirty years of traveling several countries.

You had to use the plunger everytime you used the toilet which sat in a cup of the last persons liquid, the rug was seriously stained, and old. Bathroom mildewed and black in most of the bathroom grout. The floor in the bathroom sqeeked/water damaged and sunk down, bathtub was black from degrade and dirt. Windows looked never washed. Food from the last person behind curtains. Safety lock missing on door. I understand old but you can still keep old clean and disinfected! I was truly disturbed.

I was only in Kamloops to shop then sleep overnight. It was quiet and had a nice view. The beds were okay but not great. Was supposed to sleep 4 people but only 1 set of cutlery and dishes (minus one plate) were provided. One of the lamps had a short in the wiring, wouldn't stay on (fire hazard!). Countertop needed replacing. The clerk didn't give me the Wi-Fi pasword, it wasn't written anywhere in the room, no answer when I called the front desk (although it was late).

The heat did not work properly in the room. I had to wear two pairs of fleece pants and two fleece jackets and toque to lounge in the room when it was only -2 outside.

The room was extremely dirty. There were stains on the walls, it smelled like stale air and cigarettes. Also, some if the outlets didn't work, including the ones in the bathroom. There was mouse droppings in the draws of the tv stand. There was clumps of hair and blood stains on the bed sheets. The curtains had holes in them. There was garbage under and around the bed. The tub and shower curtain were filthy and the stained. The bathroom vanity was covered in cobwebs and sand on the counter. The housekeeping/maintenance workers constantly smoked weed outside our room with other guests. There was broken glass outside the window all over the ground. The A/C was only held by duct tape on the wall, and the hotel floor looked like it had not been vacuumed and the bathroom floor was dirty as well. On a positive note, the front desk lady was very friendly, kind, caring, helpful, and was quick to get us at least new bedding and bathroom linen. She is definitely the heart of the place. I can't say the same for the maintenance/housekeeping staff. I feel like if she was fully in charge, the place wouldn't be so dirty. Other than that, the purpose of our stay was merely a place to sleep.

This place was awful, lets start with the horrid customer service! They were rude and unhelpful. I had the desk clerk who said she was the manager hangup on me twice when i called because i had forgotten my watch. She said no they wouldnt even look for and that i could come back to look or she would keep it. Then everytime i went to the desk ( for check in or ask for more towels becasue there was only one in the room ) no one was there and i had to call them in the phonr and they were just in the back. To top it off the rooms were dirty. The bathtub had black stuff on it and the floors had grim all over them. At one point i had dropped something and when i looked under the bed to grab it thwre was garbage under the bed. Like alot of garabge and looked like it had not been vaccumed ever.

Staff Were GREAT. Coming from Vancouver Island and back to back storms cancelling many Christmas and Boxing Day ferry runs and in addition with the Coquahala snowstorm my planned Kamloops arrival at 2:00 Pm was delayed until 11:00 PM two hours Past check-in :-( but I phoned several times to let them know and they kept someone standing by for my late arrival. Two thumbs up for that as I was also greeted with a smile and happy to have us. Rooms were as shown in the photos, modest and clean, Beds very comfortable. Thanks for having us and staying up late to receive us. Brad V.

DO NOT STAY HERE! The staff are extremely rude and don’t care for being hospitable which is ironic. Called to say I would be late for check in and they said they were closed and I couldn’t check in and hung up on me. I called back in the morning to get a refund and asked the lady for her name for my records and she insulted me and hung up saying I was harassing her. Drove by the hotel and it is completely run down. Not as advertised

On arrival, receptionist was absent and another guest had to call her. She arrived 5 minutes later and checked us in, in a very uninterested manner. Room was a bit dingy, bath base was old and stained, window units had blown so view out was obscured. Bedding was clean but looked like hadn't been pressed so looked like someone else had slept in it. Out side grass was long and unkempt. Plus points, we could park right outside our room, there was a fridge and microwave in the room and water was hot and plentiful. Overall though we were not impressed and wouldn't stay here again.

Very bad room. Chunks of carpet are missing on the flood, the tub faucet continually runs, the tub doesn’t look clean at all, there is no tub stopper for a bath, there looks to be black mold in the bathroom, but it is centrally located and pet friendly.

I booked this thinking it was the (good) motel to the northeast. Boy was that a mistake. DO NOT STAY HERE! The property should be condemned. Carpeted floor was sticky, bedsheets smelled heavily fumigated (days later I still retch when I think of that smell), bathtub tap ran constantly, mildew all over the bathroom. Air conditioner was extremely loud and blew air right to the head of the bed. The doorframe looked like it had been kicked in a few times and was not professionally repaired. Parts of the property are boarded up and others covered in debris. The Expedia listing says "Pool not available in winter" but the pool was empty when we arrived in late July. The clerk at the front desk said their listing said that there was no pool available - until I pulled out my phone and showed her the listing. I had booked online through Expedia for around $100/night but on checking the listing they are letting rooms go for as low as $50. When we arrived there were a few dodgy looking people lounging outside of a room just down from ours; when we returned from dinner one of them was in the process of being arrested by the RCMP. We had a four day reservation and I checked out after the first night, then had to fight with Expedia for a couple of days to get the last three days refunded. We moved to the Grandview Motel next door and were happy to see a property that was very comfortable, clean, and well-maintained.

I was only in Kamloops to shop then sleep overnight. It was quiet and had a nice view. The beds were okay but not great. Was supposed to sleep 4 people but only 1 set of cutlery and dishes (minus one plate) were provided. One of the lamps had a short in the wiring, wouldn't stay on (fire hazard!). Countertop needed replacing. The clerk didn't give me the Wi-Fi pasword, it wasn't written anywhere in the room, no answer when I called the front desk (although it was late).

It's a beautiful area, but this property is in disrepair. The only way I found the place at night was because Google Maps told me where to turn. There was a sign, but it was unlit, and no lights in the parking lot. I drove over a curb into a "landscaped" feature, but it was all dead anyway. Upon check-in, I had to go back to the office to get toilet paper. There were what looked like donut sprinkles in the bathtub, and the coffee machine had not been cleaned out from the previous use. The bed was comfortable, but no care was taken when making it up. I noted dust and debris under the bed and furniture. The AC unit was held in by cardboard, and the window, which boasted a beautiful view, was streaky and dirty. I'm not sure what's going on with this place. Although I needed a cheap place to stay for a conference, I'm glad I didn't have to spend more time there. The internet connection was stable, however, for a two-hour Zoom meeting. I did appreciate that.

The bed was comfortable and clean, there was soap, towels, a hair dryer, and two rolls of toilet paper, stains in the tub —TV, AC, heat, stove, fridge, and microwave, no pots pans, or utencles. Two chairs, both in need of repair or replacement, two tables, dresser? for TV and one night stand. Nice view out back with a bench and pick-nik table. The accommodation was dirty; unfortunately, we noticed it in the morning! Nothing obvious, but all the dirt was hidden under the beds, old socks, wrappers, and even dog kibble! We'd rather not imagine the rest! In the morning, I think my neighbor was taking a shower, which cut off mine! Anyway, with the price being very low, I wasn't expecting 4-star quality, but at least basic hygiene! The only positive was the Indian restaurant just above :)

Bathroom - green stained tub, 4 foot high shower nozzle, sink tap isn’t attached just gravity held Kitchen area - oven is greasy, top of cupboard sticky greasy, microwave has more yellow than white Beds - comfortable, sheets clean, top cover coffee stained like A/C - room was cool, couldn’t figure how to turn it off, held in with red tuck tape, every 45 minutes or so make higher pitch squeal for about 15 minutes Pool - drained and sludgy and was told it’s been shut down for a while Room - carpet has a 4 ft by 8 ft section cut and replaced, I wonder what happened there? The view out of the patio doors was breathtaking. The room was clean. It has the basics for sleeping, cleaning up, eating and relaxing. The staff is helpful, kind and friendly. Checking in and out was quick and easy. The property is a bit outdated, but serves it's purpose. We had a wheelchair user with us and found the room easily accessible to get to, but the room is too small to use the wheelchair in. This was not an issue for our party as they are able to walk with a cane and the room was small enough to get around. We requested a cot, there is just enough room for it to be laid out. Also not a problem for us as we were just spending the night before continuing on our trip. Overall we were pleased with the accomodations, cleanliness and staff and would stay again.

Pour une nuit de passage ça va... pour un séjour plus long, ce n'est pas idéal. La propreté est correcte si on n'est pas maniaque, sinon s'abstenir. Ne comptez pas sur la piscine car même en service, elle n'est pas entretenue et ne donne pas envie de se baigner. Le plus c'est qu'il y a un frigo et un four à micro-ondes donc cela permet de se gérer. Il y a une jolie vue et des tables et/ou fauteuils extérieurs pour manger. Le style est vieillot mais relativement confortable.

This place is for someone who doesn’t want to spend money on their living space. There was mild in the corners, mysterious stains on the walls and sheets. On the bright side I was able to room with a plethora of different crawlers, though they never even offered to split the cost of the room. Also the facilities were less than desirable, the coffee machine in the room was broken and wouldn’t turn on and there was no cold water. The area is also sketchy and represents the room perfectly. The last thing, the room that was given had an outstanding view and that made up for the numbers of disappointments.

On the bright side I was able to room with a plethora of different crawlers, though they never even offered to split the cost of the room. Also the facilities were less than desirable, the coffee machine in the room was broken and wouldn’t turn on and there was no cold water. The area is also sketchy and represents the room perfectly. The last thing, the room that was given had an outstanding view and that made up for the numbers of disappointments.

As soon as you drive onto the property it felt more like skid row in Vancouver. Sketchy people hanging around the parking lot. We got there very late. Office was closed. I phoned and was rudely told “we are closed” then she hung up on me

The room was definitely not as expected as compared to the photos shown. My bathroom was old and stained and well as most of the items in the room (the ac needs a deep bleaching). The bed was decent enough for one night sleep. Wouldn’t stay again.
