Parking expensive and not very good. Not very good facilities compared to other Home2 I have been to. Bed for queen size is more like a full size. Not worth the cost I paid

The hotel was very close to the subway. However there are only 8-10 parking spaces. We were lucky to get one but had to wait fir the next morning

One elevator was broken when I arrived. The washers and dryers are broken. And there was no hot water one day.

One dryer was broken. You have to use an app to pay for the laundry. Breakfast area is not big enough for all the guests

The best thing I liked about the hotel , very clear se to Subway. Breakfast was limited and closed very early. Room was okay. Parking is a nightmare!!!

There was no hot water Saturday from 9AM to 3 PM We missed our planned day time activities! The complimentary breakfast area was super crowded best to go at 6 when it opens!

Small but safe parking area

Great place to stay, only bad thing, the guest next to us were smoking weed inside the room and our room got the smell, we complained but I guess the other guests didn't stop. It was for 1 night. Other than that it was great

The hotel room smelled horrible ! The heater/ac filter smelled bad. Sheets weren’t well cleaned.

Not spotless but clean

I’m not sure why this hotel has such good reviews. The main area was decent and check in and check out was easy. However, the room I was given smelled like wet dog and the bed in the room sunk in when I tried to sit on it. I don’t think that’s ever happened to me at any hotel. Also the A/C didn’t seem to be working and the bed sheets and comforter were flimsy. I did manage to change rooms but the bed was still not what I would consider appropriate. Definitely not worth the stay especially for the $400 a night that I paid.

The operating noise of the air conditioner and refrigerator is too loud, affecting sleep.

Room type: suite with a bedroom. Hotel condition: clean, neat and new. Room: spacious, clean and new. We were told that Manhattan view is not available for all suite room type. The kitchen is well equipped with a coffee maker, detergent, sponge, microwave, bowls and cups. But we brought our own kettle because we are used to drink boiled warm water instead of tap water. If you are concerned about fresh air: The room has fixed windows with PTAC. Since there is no ventilation in the bathroom, you have to open the bathroom doors and switch on the PTAC in the living room and bedroom to remove the steam, and poop smell ... Poor soundproofing. You won’t hear any noise from the corridor when you sleep in the bedroom with the door closed, but you might get disturbed by the noise if you sleep on the sofa bed in the living room, especially for light sleepers. Also, sounds in the bathroom can be heard clearly in the bedroom. Soft mattress. The sofa bed squeaked but it was acceptable. A wide range of choices for breakfast: Bread / bagel / croissant / English muffin / burger bread Boiled eggs / egg patties / bacon / potato wedges / meat patties / chicken nuggets / fish fillets Cereal / corn flakes / corn rings / yoghurt / delicious yoghurt toppings Soft drinks / tea / coffee / apples / bananas You can make fresh hot waffles using the waffle maker yourself. It’s fun! Luggage storage: USD10 per luggage. I was told that they only hold your luggage for daytime. Not for overnig

Very bad WiFi, the TV only has Netflix and Disney, and even those can’t play without buffering due to the internet. Impossible to cast anything from your phone, no YouTube or any other popular apps. Also, if your stay is longer, be aware that the WiFi is free only for 7 days. After that you have to pay. The rooms were clean frequently but you have to ask for everything you need to be replenished - toilet paper, shampoo, coffee, etc, they won’t do it themselves. Breakfast is nice to have, but gets very busy especially towards the end, right before 9. The staff and the guests all shove each other trying to get to the food. Location is really nice, a 4 minute walk to the subway, a few delis and restaurants around as well, though nothing spectacular. There is a cute terrace on the 7th floor with a nice view. Overall we liked the hotel and the value.

Spacious rooms

A clean and comfortable place to land! The kitchen was nice to have, also the curtain dividing the bed from the sofa area. Complementary breakfast had overall healthy offerings. The bed was fine.

Nice hotel, just a 5 minute walk to the N and W train, short ride to midtown and downtown Manhattan. The hotel is in a safe residential neighborhood, pretty quiet, plenty of people walking around. There are several little stores for food and beverages within a block or two also several restaurants/bars nearby. The staff was very friendly and polite. The included breakfast was good (waffle machines, pre-made egg paties, hard boiled eggs, bacon, English muffins, bagels, vanilla yogurt, granola, berries, trail mix, oatmeal, cheerios, raisin bran, fruit loops, juices, coffee & tea). The only negative things were that the weekday breakfast hours (6AM - 9AM) really should go an extra hour til 10AM. It was super crowded from 8AM to 9AM which is when most people would go. It was hard to get what you wanted. On the weekends it stays open until 10AM but really, the entire crowd problem (which seems to be the main thing that causes any negative reviews about this hotel) could be easily solved by just staying open until 10AM. The room itself was very spacious by NYC standards. It was also super quiet, which is very important to us. We never heard a peep from any of the other rooms or from the hallway even though the hotel was filled to capacity. If you're looking for a clean, safe, quiet hotel that's close to Manhattan without the Manhattan price tag, this could be your perfect spot. Also, they do not charge that obnoxious "resort fee" that Manhattan hotels tack on.

The room was nice and I really liked how the room came equipped with dishes, an actual refrigerator and dishwasher. My only issue is the sliding bathroom door. There was no way to lock it and my 2 year old kept slamming her fingers in the door. Otherwise we loved the space and will be back!

Room was nice and large, parking wasn’t bad (found on street for free). What made the stay great, however, was Omar at the front desk- very polite, professional, and efficient. He didn’t blink twice when called in 3 different directions at once and kept everyone happy- some of the best service at a hotel I’ve encountered.

The stay was incredible. Beautiful hotel and hotel room. The breakfast was amazing so many options for everyone. The staff was absolutely phenomenal, between Omar, Emily and Jessica, to name a few , the staff were so kind and welcoming and so helpful ! Super close to the train station. No real downsides to mention but maybe an ice machine on the 8th floor that was down but we just hopped the next floor to get some. A wonderful stay, thank you to everyone here at Homes2Suites. Would 1,000% recommend.

It was great because of the staff!! Very welcoming and helpful. One thing I have noticed on my last couple of visits is there is some wear and tear on the cupboards, bathroom, drawers. The table lamp was missing. They brought a floor lamp immediately when I asked. But did not fit. When you are staying for several nights, kind of a home away from home, you expect that you will have light to work with. I do always chose to stay at home 2 suites when in Long Island city. Hopefully there won’t be anymore changes.

The staff was not as attentive as it should’ve been. They made us wait a long time.

Front desk staff were not very helpful and almost had an attitude lol. One Elevator was out of order, there wasn’t enough food for breakfast and they charge money to hold luggage because they don’t have a luggage room. Wouldn’t stay here again

Super friendly and very helpful staff!

Front desk guy is too arrogant in the morning.I have asked for 1st floor since the lift is not working properly but he gave me on the 9th floor and promised lift gona work in the morning.But in the morning the lift hasn’t worked I had to get my luggage from 9th floor and I had an knee injury due to lifting heavy weights.And the front desk guy spoke with arrogance.

The room was clean and comfortable. Street parking was okay due the lack of actual residences in the area. Train is a block away for added convenience.

The hotel was clean and the breakfast was a plus. It is very close to the subway station, we could see it right outside the main entrance.

Our room was quiet and comfortable. The hotel is close to multiple subway stops that made getting around relatively easy.

I think one of the best place to stay if you are in new york for business or for visiting purpose. Excellent compromise between cost, comfort, easy access to public transportation. I highly recommend.

The hotel itself is very clean. Breakfast was good. Room was spacious and clean. The surrounding area didn’t feel safe though. Lots of homeless and people begging for money. Didn’t feel comfortable walking with our children.

Near a subway line. Immediate area outside hotel felt safe. Further away, near the F line felt less safe, we avoided that area.

Very friendly and helpful staff at the hotel. While doing laundry, the dryer it broke down but the staff quickly resolved the issue once notified. They had our laundry dried and delivered to our room. Breakfast area was extremely busy so we did not use it because of the lines. That could be an area for improvement.

The breakfast never changes and no vegetables at all

Staff was okay not great. Breakfast was minimal and embarrassingly horrible. I would be embarrassed to serve that food to my guests. Served microwaved, artifical eggs and muffins. Worst breakfast experience at all the hotels I've been to. I liked that the hotel was super close to two MTA stations to get you to New York quickly. Surrounding area was a safe, with several other food options. There's a nearby discounted garage that will discount your parking fee when staying at a neighboring hotel, so avoid the hotel parking garage. I also liked the gym, which was better than most and had a functional trainer cable machine that can pretty much do all the movements you need. Overall great space when traveling with small children.

Clean, comfortable room and the breakfast area is cosy and spacious. Breakfast variety is limited and food is cold. Hotel is near to a subway station which makes travelling convenient but there's limited dining and shopping nearby.
