The hotel amenities, restaurant, service, location to shops, and museums is a rating of six (in a scale of 1-5)! The restaurant is managed by a Michelin rated chef and his menu is outstanding. The waiting staff (led by Stephanie) is attentive, efficient and friendly, esp. Neusa. The concierge was informative and willing to help in several regards.

The hotel is very nice, far away from the chaos but close to the shopping roads. Rooms, corridors and common spaces are not too spacious (but in line with London's standards). The furniture is well-curated and high quality. Breakfast was a little bit complicated: fist morning we had to wait more than 1 hour, but the next days it went better. Also during lunch the service was not marvelous.

Over priced and photos on the site did not give a true impression of what we booked. Bar and mini bar in room extortionate. Restaurant over priced and £30 for breakfast which thought would have been included seeing as I paid nearly £900 for 2 nights this was not included. Additional service charges added for drinking in the in house bar and normal maid service was also an additional service charge was added without asking, which we questioned so these charges were removed. Bedroom was sooo small not even room to put away 2 pieces of luggage. Couldn’t get changed without knocking into something.

Even though there were hiccups during our stay such as wifi and AC outage and problem with getting a hot shower, the staff were unfailingly polite and helpful. The location is also fantastic. The restaurant has a tasty food and drinks menu -- a hidden gem really.

Absolute gem of a property! Location is handy for Sloan St / Brompton Rd shops and of course the RAH. Beautiful cocktail bar - shame the garden couldn't be used though! Did not sample any dining options as we had a schedule to stick to. We would definitely stay again.

We like the property but it needs refurbishment and is very dark in the common areas and carpets ripped in hallways. The bathroom was large but somewhat dysfunctional because the wet area leaked heavily into the dry area and the fixtures in the bath were not functioning properly. This is supposed to be a five star property and it is not. The staff and concierge were lovely and helpful. Although they gave us an upgrade, it was only after we complained about the first room to which we were assigned which was unacceptable. We told them that we were going to be leaving the hotel

Clean property and friendly staff but certainly not a 5-star hotel. It’s small and everything is very dark. They show pictures of beautiful gardens but they are not accessible and the room can either run air conditioning or heat but you can’t control both, so need to call the front desk to have them switch over between the two. We had our toilet paper holder falling off every day and when we showered, there was water everywhere on the floor. It’s a clean hotel in a nice neighbourhood, good for walking, lots of restaurants and staff is very accommodating but it should never be rated at a 5-star simply based on the facilities.

I have mixed feelings about this hotel. The location is amazing, the breakfast is really good, their cleanliness is excellent, but some of their prices I think some of the rooms are not worth it. We paid for junior suite and they gave us a room in the top floor which didn’t have elevator for the last floor and also it felt like attic. Honestly I might go back to this hotel but only if they have good deals with the price I paid wouldn’t go back. But overall a nice and clean hotel with excellent location.

The hotel itself is very nice, clean, the rooms are well appointed. However, our bathroom was disappointingly small considering the type of room we booked. Staff at check-in was very friendly but did not follow through - we were supposed to receive a bottle of Prosecco which did not materialize, the request for late checkout was granted but not communicated to the staff member who was there the next day; breakfast was allegedly extra even so our reservation indicated breakfast was included. Having said that a fantastic staff member took care of us during checkout and rectified the situation.

I stayed in the Franklin for one night. They upgraded the room with my Hotels.com gold membership. The room was really nice and clean. However, the bottle of Prosecco that was supposed to be included was nowhere to be seen. I also had the pre bought breakfast option for roughly 40 GBP. I was told when I checked in that I had the full English Breakfast included. To my surprise, next morning when having breakfast, they said that I only had the continental breakfast included. That option was only 30 GBP so much less than I paid. I pointed that out and I asked the server to confirm that I only had the Continental breakfast included. She confirmed that it was the case. At check out, I specifically mentioned the lack of the bottle and the breakfast. They were really apologetic but I don’t think it’s ok for a five star hotel to miss out on these things.

I wish i could give a 5-star review, but unfortunately, this is not the case. i do not like to be prejudged on the arrival to the hotel. The welcome was awful and rude which left a bitter taste. I wish we left straight away but it was our wedding day and we had an evening party to attend...not ideal scenario. The following day we had a note posted under the door addressed to my name accusing me of smoking because they smelt smoking in the corridor....even though the lovely chap at the door saw me going out for a smoke number of times .This explains me hearing someone near our door couple of times. The housekeeping was very nosey when we asked for coffee and looked inside the room as trying to catch us out. But instead should have been doing her work as a room was far from clean, just looking at the fire alarm which was covered in a layer of dust was enough. And all of this would have been not important if we had great service and felt welcome. Whilst checking out i saw the service given to other customers arriving by different members of staff was totally different to what we received. When I complained, the house manageress was very apologetic and polite and offered to pay for our taxi ride. Which was very kind. But i would not recommend this hotel because it truly left a bad taste and ruined our special day. Very, very sad

This was supposed to be a 5 star experience in a 5 star hotel. Well, here's what we experienced in our suite. On arrival in the living room there were two clumps of hair on the floor. The sink in the bathroom was blocked. It's difficult to access the shower due to a high bath tub with a wide marble edge to get your leg over. Once in the shower most of the jets were blocked and you could stay dry under it. Water shot out the sides which means that the escaping water ends up on the floor making exiting the bath dangerous. We had water coming through the light fitting at the top of the stairs. And finally, I have emailed the hotel manager to report these issues (some were reported to staff whilst we were there) and 2 days later I have not received a response which shows how much they care. There are positives, the bed, oh my, the best I have probably ever slept in. The reception staff were so helpful and friendly. And breakfast was great. Would I stay here again? No way. I've stayed in better £50 a night B&B's.

The staff were highly engaged and helpful. The hotel remains excellently presented and maintained. A small problem on a previous stay had been rectified and particular attention was paid to this matter on my subsequent stay. This was a reassuring demonstration of an attentive management team. Being over-finicky, I happened to drop a coin which rolled under the bed, where I noticed more dust than I would have expected, but this was easily forgiven on an otherwise outstanding experience

Quaint hotel off the Brompton Rd. Very quiet. Only elected to stay and take meals in London as we thought the price too steep and there were literally hundreds of eating places nearby. Staff extremely courteous and prompt. Room would probably need an upgrade as issues with sink ( reported) and the lighting was too dim for our liking but overall we had an extremely pleasant stay

Nice Small Boutique Hotel, we enjoyed our stay, the property is beautiful but was a lil disappointed with the size of the suite. Location wise its amazing as Harrods and other shopping options are literally on 10 mins walk.

It is a nice hotel with a pleasant team and cozy atmosphere on a quiet street in a good London neighborhood. However, I would not rate it "luxury". Service: Despite the VIP status I was not offered an upgrade at check in and when I asked, I was told that the next category room is not available. Since other categories are, I felt this is not the right handling of a situation. Room: The toilet flush buttons cannot be accessed when toilet is open. That means closing it every time you want to flush. In my book, this is the opposite of luxury. No hooks to hang towels on. No shower, only inside a bath tub that is incredibly high to enter and exit. All electricity outlets by the bed are low and inside the bed-side cabinet. Very inconvenient. The lights control panel by the bed (there is one on either side) illuminates to brightly that I had to cover it with towel at night. There are no drawers and no real closet (just tiny shelves) and there is no real working desk.

We got off to a rocky start and finish here. The reception is at a massive table that is really not conducive to dealing with the paperwork for check in. The check in process also seems unnecessarily long and complicated. Our room was quite small, but very nice and the bottle of fizz and chocolates was a nice touch. We had breakfast included with the room, which we had both mornings - the presentation of the little pastries is very beautiful… all seemed well until checkout. Honestly, the staff must already know they’re going to be in an argument, because they are defensive from the outset. We had ZERO incidentals, but I was presented with an £80 settlement figure to pay. When I asked for the details, they were strangely unable to print the bill AND refused to let me see their screen. I demanded a breakdown and they gave me explanations such as ‘room cleaning’ (which was never mentioned at any point) and £2 extra for ordering WATER at breakfast, because evidently water isn’t included (although also never mentioned). It was absolutely the most annoying, frustrating, deliberately misleading experience I have had at a hotel in a very long time. In the end, the woman at reception basically said - we have your card details, so we are charging you and we’ll email you the receipt… WHICH THEY STILL HAVE NOT DONE… from my September stay. It really left a bad taste and `I would absolutely not stay here again.

I wish i could give a 5-star review, but unfortunately, this is not the case. i do not like to be prejudged on the arrival to the hotel. The welcome was awful and rude which left a bitter taste. I wish we left straight away but it was our wedding day and we had an evening party to attend...not ideal scenario. The following day we had a note posted under the door addressed to my name accusing me of smoking because they smelt smoking in the corridor....even though the lovely chap at the door saw me going out for a smoke number of times .This explains me hearing someone near our door couple of times. The housekeeping was very nosey when we asked for coffee and looked inside the room as trying to catch us out. But instead should have been doing her work as a room was far from clean, just looking at the fire alarm which was covered in a layer of dust was enough. And all of this would have been not important if we had great service and felt welcome. Whilst checking out i saw the service given to other customers arriving by different members of staff was totally different to what we received. When I complained, the house manageress was very apologetic and polite and offered to pay for our taxi ride. Which was very kind. But i would not recommend this hotel because it truly left a bad taste and ruined our special day. Very, very sad

The property and our room were lovely, and overall, the staff were very helpful. Front of house staff in particular were warm and friendly. Service in the restaurant, especially on the first night left quite a lot to be desired and the first morning’s breakfast as well – they were quite surly. This improved somewhat on the second morning, but overall the service in the restaurant was disappointing. That said, the food was absolutely amazing so did somewhat make up for the service. Unexpected extras on the bill, including accommodation service – which seem to be an extra charge for cleaning the room and service added to the restaurant meals, even breakfast, which we had paid for in advance, made the whole stay very expensive.

Beautiful boutique hotel on a quiet street just steps from the V&A and natural history museums. Very close to the S. Kensington tube station. High end shopping abounds. Very comfortable rooms and excellent customer service. Would definitely stay again.

It was fabulous as celebrating my birthday and staff were great and extremely helpful. I would definitely recommend it but be aware there is service on absolutely everything even your stay which is optional but put on your bill. I am very disappointed on being charged for an extra coffee at breakfast when we took the package. We have travelled the world and stayed in many London Hotels and coffee at breakfast is always unlimited. A little petty and unnecessary in my opinion. I would like to say Justina was exceptional.

The location is great, the hotel itself is quiet and chic. The staff is always around to help and make reservations or get car services or wine late at night and super capable to handle any thing we needed at the last minute. Aisha at the front and Michal the concierge were super kind and helpful when it came to getting us reservations. This is my second time staying here recently and have become a huge fan of the hotel.

The hotel is very nice, far away from the chaos but close to the shopping roads. Rooms, corridors and common spaces are not too spacious (but in line with London's standards). The furniture is well-curated and high quality. Breakfast was a little bit complicated: fist morning we had to wait more than 1 hour, but the next days it went better. Also during lunch the service was not marvelous.

The waiting staff (led by Stephanie) is attentive, efficient and friendly, esp. Neusa. The concierge was informative and willing to help in several regards.

Over priced and photos on the site did not give a true impression of what we booked. Bar and mini bar in room extortionate. Restaurant over priced and £30 for breakfast which thought would have been included seeing as I paid nearly £900 for 2 nights this was not included. Additional service charges added for drinking in the in house bar and normal maid service was also an additional service charge was added without asking, which we questioned so these charges were removed. Bedroom was sooo small not even room to put away 2 pieces of luggage. Couldn’t get changed without knocking into something.

Even though there were hiccups during our stay such as wifi and AC outage and problem with getting a hot shower, the staff were unfailingly polite and helpful. The location is also fantastic. The restaurant has a tasty food and drinks menu -- a hidden gem really.

From the very beginning to the end, the staff, the services, the way they take pride in having their guests. It’s perfect, and the restaurant - juat vauw! You have to eat here, the chef is preparing to be Michelin quality ready, and the food is Michelin star quality. The brunch is perfect, and the rooms were perfect too, and the bar it self also. I will stay here again for sure. A I give the Franklin my biggest recommendation, I hope they will receive their Michelin star one day, they deserve it

It was an amazing stay at the Franklin. The staff were professional, helpful and pleasant to deal with. The location of the hotel is convenient, 5 minutes walk away Knightsbridge and maybe 10 from the museum. I had a great time here with my family.
