We booked this hotel because it had a pool, however the advert is misleading. The Hotel does not include pool facilities. You have to pay an extra £25 per person per hour to use even as a guest.

Beautiful hotel and lovely comfy bed! Excellent staff but the spa was a £25 extra cost (even with a £240 night rate!) and the pool was freezing. the jacuzzi tiles were all coming off and snagged my cozzie, and the sauna wasn’t warm.

Enjoyed our stay -very central location but not noisy. Staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. Gym small but well equipped. Decent breakfast. Would definitely stay again mext time we are in Liverpool

We chose this hotel as it clearly had a hottub and swimming pool. When we checked in, we noticed a sign that said the swimming pool and hottub are separate for £25pp per hour extra! We showed the manager that this was not at all clearly mentioned in the details on hotels.com and even more hidden on their own websites. For us, this was a clear case of false advertisement as the spa is what they show off the most with. Even on their own website, they speak about their spa from the start, but even the manager needed 6 clicks to be able to show you have to pay extra for it. After a long discussion with her, she told us she could make an exception and give us the ability for a full refund if we wanted to search for another hotel. As we didn’t immediately know if we could still find a decent one, she told us we could look and think about it. An hour later, we found another hotel so we returned to the front desk. There the receptionist said she would check with the manager as she just went home… A few minutes later, she returned and told us the manager said we should have taken the offer immediately and that it is now too late! We then asked her to check the cameras so she could see the manager is literaly lying, but that she didn’t want to do. I've never been treated more unprofessional. The wifi is also terrible and almost unusable, unless you also pay extra for it!! Room itself feels outdated as well

Couldn't fault the place, the spa was excellent apart from the stairs to get in. B'est spa I've used. Housekeeping was flawless' Maybe needed more milk sachets but got more without question just a hassle gowing down for them. Bathroom wae exceptional, breakfast was brilliant, loved the sausages

The tv was dated, cannot stream and most channels didn’t work. There was stains on the bedsheet and curtains, scuffs on the walls, beer bottle top under the chair, so it’s not being cleaned properly. The bedside light was broken. I reported all this straight away, I was told if I don’t like it, then cancel my stay! They then said they will fix the light and they didn’t. No excuse for being dirty, it’s not Hilton standard. Couldn’t wait to leave and very expensive. With the stains on the sheets I wondered if they had even been changed. Didn’t sleep at all, ladder into the pool very loose, came away from the floor, major hazard and you had to pay £25 just to use the spa. Couldn’t even show any kind of goodwill gesture. Be aware! Go to Radisson red instead, beautiful old building and modern facilities and clean with helpful staff. I have proof photos of the dirt in the room.

The carpet in the bedroom looked dirty. The chair in the area where I had breakfast was dirty, with the material on the seating area stained. I was not advised about breakfast just shown to the dirty seating area and left to find out about tea/coffee etc For the £200 room and the £102 spa I did expect the hotel to be presented in a clean state of repair. I was very disappointed.

We stayed 2 nights with breakfast for £456, so was expecting a very nice quality stay for the price. On the positives, the bed was very comfortable. The first night, I asked for extra pillows and these were delivered quickly. The shower in the en-suite was excellent also. Breakfast was also very nice. The hotel is in a brilliant location for the centre of Liverpool & the Docks were approx 10 min walk as well. We used the hotel spa and pool facilities which were £50 for 2 of us for an hour. It was expensive but very relaxing and enjoyable. However, the pool/ jacuzzi area was scruffy as loose mosaic tiles were coming off. For the price, it could do with smartening up. On the down side, the room could have been cleaner. The carpet had stains on it and looked like it hadn’t been hoovered as it had debris on it. Light switches by the bed were sticky which was unpleasant. The toilet could have been cleaner also. On the first morning, we had taken off our ‘do not disturb’ sign by 10.30am and left the room for the day. On returning at approx 6.30pm, our room had not been serviced which was disappointing. I had rung reception to request clean towels and we were told they’d be 10 mins. As a result I got in the shower but the towels didn’t come for another hour, so I ended up having to dry myself on a hand towel as this was the only dry towel we had! Not ideal. The staff did apologise for the delay. The stay overall was pleasant but a little disappointing.

Over all the hotel was good, the breakfast was fantastic as were the staff, the only issue was that there was a mould issue in the bathroom, if i was staying for more than a night i would have asked to switch rooms as you could smell it as soon as you walked in. You could see where that water had been leaking around the bath and separate shower, there were cracked tiles everywhere. some one had clearly tried to carry out repairs, but really badly. You would be better off taking it apart and starting again, i would hate to see what the damage was like behind it all. Would it stop me from staying there again, definitely not, you get this sort of stuff every now and again and it is what it is. As i said great staff, great breakfast, good location.

We eere greeted with a very friendly welcome from Conny who checked us in. Going to the room the lifts and corridors were spotless and smelt so fresh! The room was a great size , very clean and the bed is the comfiest i have slept jn for a very long time ( im never comfy in hotel beds). The shower was great and the rolm had everything we needed. I would definitely stay here again if Inwas visiting the area.

The Hotel is perfectly situated, close to everything and easy to get to. Car park is off site, but within 5 minute walk £12 per day. Our room was (suitable for Disable people) roomy, large bathroom and plenty of space around the bed. It had a communicating door, which was locked. No Drinking Water in the room and only 2 sachets of sugar. No Pen, No Paper, No Body gel. Pretty poor for a 4 Star Hotel. Our deal included breakfast on our 4 days stay. On day 1, we were told that we were NOT listed for breakfast, so we proved otherwise. Day 2 .. ooops teh same ! After that we went to Reception for them to amend this, as it was now just silly. Breakfast was good, plenty of choice and the Juan teh Chef was amazing, preparing a great omelette for us and helping with sightseeing sugestions. Our room was NOT Hoovered once during out stay, nor was the landing where the elevators open up, giving the very clear impression that the place was dirty. We had to go and ask for toilet paper as we did not have any. Still no body gel. No Water. The bathroom gets flooded when one showers. WE did not really have the time to use the Spa, although we popped in and they were extremely helpful and friendly as was the reception staff. It was really disappointing that housekeeping was not up to scratch, as otherwise the hotel was great.

Staff were reasonably pleasant but I was very disappointed with my room. Window blind was not adjustable (the cord had been removed) meaning I couldn't get any sunlight in during the day. Also, the air conditioning unit was not working so I was stuck in an unbearably warm room, leading to a really poor night's sleep.

Good location but the hotel left many things to be desired. Maintenance man clearly has zero pride in their work. Very poor workmanship around the room we had. See pictures! When we arrived with small children, we went up to the 6th floor and then found we needed to climb to more flights of stairs. Extremely inconvenient with small children and large rolling bags. The hotel is also on motion censored lights. Seems like a good idea except when you’re sitting in your closet trying to go through clothes and the lights go out or sitting at the elevator waiting and the lights go out. It didn’t feel eco friendly, it just felt unsafe and annoying to open up your door to a dark hallway. Zero free water in this hotel so for that I give one star. All hotels should supply free water - so forget the hard cookie and trade for water. Gym had cups and water 2 of the 8 days we stayed and didn’t have any cleaning products out to clean off the machines when we were done. Shower was extremely small. I am a 5ft, 100lb woman and I had to turn off the rainwater shower just to wash because there was no other room without bumping my elbows or washing all the soap off immediately. Whoever designed the spacing on bathrooms, closets and rooms did poorly. Staff did not greet us upon arrival. Overall, would not stay here again.

Check in was smooth and easy. Receptionist was lovely and friendly. We booked a superior king size room. The room itself was lovely but the curtains were closed and when we looked out realised it was for a reason. The view was literally the back of the hotel so not the best. The bathroom was lovely with a fab bath and separate shower. The bed was comfy as were the pillows. The only thing that let this stay down was the breakfast. We went down to the restaurant around 8.45am and there was very little hot food available. Myself and my husband ended up eating at separate times due to having to wait for the hot items to be replenished. The coffee machine had run out of milk and there was no butter available. If the breakfast had been better this would have been a great stay.

Nice hotel and friendly staff. Room decent with a nice comfy bed but the window did not open and there was no view apart from the back end of the hotel about 10 feet away. Dull in the room due to lack of natural daylight. Food in the restaurant Ok but I didn’t get offered the 2 for 1 drinks when I was in there between 3-6m.

It is a lovely hotel but the internet is poor. Unfortunately during my stay the air con wasnt working in the room. I did report it but during my 3 night stay it wasn't working and the room was quite warm. Also the shower had hardly any pressure. All in all i love this hotel and stayed many times. This time it was a disappointment.

Lovely hotel, rooms very nice and big bathrooms. Only issue was the internet unusable on 6th floor which was a problem for me. May be okay on lower floors.

We eere greeted with a very friendly welcome from Conny who checked us in. Going to the room the lifts and corridors were spotless and smelt so fresh! The room was a great size , very clean and the bed is the comfiest i have slept jn for a very long time ( im never comfy in hotel beds). The shower was great and the rolm had everything we needed. I would definitely stay here again if Inwas visiting the area.

Expensive for what this is in my experience. Stayed in superior room but nothing extra. Not even a bottle of water in the fridge. Hated the king size bed which was just two singles put together with the obvious join making it uncomfortable. TV had so many channels missing or not working. Breakfast over priced. Careful when you book because if you want to use the pool/ spa you have to pay extra to use it. Ridiculous.

Receptionist said we did not need to book for dinner however when entering the restaurant we were asked for a booking reservation. She also did not validate our parking ticket and we were inconvenienced to then go back to hotel and get validation after being stuck at the exit to car park not being able to get out! Quite expensive for the stay and food at the restaurant was poor.

Restaurant staff were friendly, helpful and worked their socks off, especially the Restaurant front of house. Breakfast was delicious. Our first room was a good size and the bed was very comfortable but unfortunately it was positioned above a bar on the other side of the alley outside our window and the noise till 3am was awful and to top it off we were woken at 6am by workmen n bottles clanking. We asked to move rooms. The manager was helpful and assured us we would be moved to the opposite side of the hotel where it is quieter. when we got back to the hotel to move to our new room the receptionist wasvery rude and dismissive. Our new room was one floor up on the same side as our previous room. I rang reception and explained again and asked to move as the problem will be the same, she said there were no other rooms and hung up. I was futious at the appauling customer service from her. We complained again but they said there was nothing they could do but if we had the same problem to ring and when we check out we would be compensated.. same problem of loud music and people shouting till 3am. We left the hotel exhausted and miserable! On checking out we asked to see the manager, it took a bit of convincing but eventually he saw our point and offered a free stay.. understandably, we declined so as an apology he paid for our parking. All in all,alot of the staff were very nice, hotel is in a very convenient location for all areas of the city centre n the restaurants were fab.

Pretty average. No response on messages in 2 weeks before stay. We've stayed before and hotel was previously good, however now looks tired with lots of repairs needed, and many stains. Had one request which was for breakfast in bed, which we were happy to pay extra. Told by first concierge not possible and to come down and take food back up to room? Which defeats the object. Asked second who said you couldn't do it there at front desk and had to go to room, use menu and call? Went to room and no menu in room or online. So we gave up. Used to be good but hotel and service now lacking somewhat.

The DoubleTree Hilton was an excellent choice for our stay in Liverpool. Close to the city centre and only a 10 minute walk to the Albert dock. The breakfast buffet was excellent and the staff were great. Would very much recommend the Koukash for an evening meal.

The hotel overall was nice & very centrally located. The only downside was that we were told by Hilton’s sales team that there was onsite parking, which there wasn’t. There was luckily a car park across the road but you couldn’t get out without having to walk all the way around to get to the hotel which was a nuisance as we had luggage. But luckily the day of our checkout the gate was open so we could just go in through the correct way. Staff were very nice & eager to help.

Very good central location for cavern club, bustling centre of town and not far from docks. NCP carpark also close by. Overall excellent staff, clean and comfortable hotel. We would have spent more time in the bar if the drinks weren’t so expensive. The eggs I ordered fresh were very good at breakfast but the pancakes on offer were rigid. No water or biscuits in the room. Bit irritated we weren’t allowed to view the spa before paying so we just didn’t use it in the end. Every other spa hotel we have stayed in we have used the spa. Could have atleast had pictures or a video showing what it was like.

front desk staff were extremley friendly on arrival, room was clean comfortable, bed comfortable, pillows were flat, had evening meal in the hotel very tasty but lacking the salad that was advertised breackfast in the morning was disapointing was going for the continental of cheese meats salad as i tucked in to the tomatoes that looked they had a covering of black pepper a whole load of flies came up i told the chef he said he would tell the manager, the same tomatoes were still on the counter when we left, i tried the cooked breackfast and took a piece of sausage which was grease i decided to get a yougurt this was warm and the lid was swollen, the waiter dismissed my concerns. if i was to stay again i would not take the breackfast. although i have always had a good breackfast in other hilton hotels

Check in was smooth and easy. Receptionist was lovely and friendly. We booked a superior king size room. The room itself was lovely but the curtains were closed and when we looked out realised it was for a reason. The view was literally the back of the hotel so not the best. The bathroom was lovely with a fab bath and separate shower. The bed was comfy as were the pillows. The only thing that let this stay down was the breakfast. We went down to the restaurant around 8.45am and there was very little hot food available. Myself and my husband ended up eating at separate times due to having to wait for the hot items to be replenished. The coffee machine had run out of milk and there was no butter available. If the breakfast had been better this would have been a great stay.

Breakfast is quite poor for the price. No 100% juice, not many cold cuts and cheese. Chef makes beautiful poached eggs with hollandaise. The pigeons are really loud if you are staying at the upper level.

Couldn't fault the place, the spa was excellent apart from the stairs to get in. B'est spa I've used. Housekeeping was flawless' Maybe needed more milk sachets but got more without question just a hassle gowing down for them. Bathroom wae exceptional, breakfast was brilliant, loved the sausages

As soon as checked in hotel staff very helpful had teen son with asd adhd with me they treated him with respect and explained everything regarding checking into room meal in restraunt to ordering room service if more comfortable with needs and access to breakfast buffet. Staff were lovely, nice bar and a great location. I was in the old wing of the building and the AC had broken. I moved rooms to another one which also had broken AC, but it at least had an opening window. Could do with more hooks in the entrance bit to the room.
