Staff is kind and helpful, and the location is close to a string of shrines which when you’re done take will lead you to the shopping district. All together an amazing experience, and I was legitimately sad to leave.

A little bit of a walk from the train, but that just gives you more time to take in the sites. Overall, this hotel is great. Aesthetically, it’s top notch. We loved our room and have been talking about it long after our stay. The only knock I’ll give is that the staff felt annoyed when we asked questions. They were very helpful, but sometimes felt reluctant while answering questions or assisting us. That said, I wouldn’t let that deter you from staying here. Next time we’re in Kyoto (and hopefully soon!), we’ll gladly rebook here.
