The property didn’t offer proper amenities of a hotel. They didn’t have luggage carts or a place to store the luggage as it says in the description of the hotel. The staff was only helpful after I lost my patience asking for help. They even told me there was no manager on site until 3pm. Not a good place to stay if you have a lot of luggage or a family. It was the equivalent of a motel with a high price.

Check in was ridiculous. Forced valet parking on property. Sat in a line for 30 minutes only to be told that you must have a room number to drop the car off…really cool trick! Left car at door and went in and stood in line for another 30 minutes to check in. Had to go to 3 different levels to find a working ice machine. I have come to expect more from Hilton properties

This hotel was large and clean with a good staff. It was a good value compared to similar properties. However, I found the valet system did not work well, especially given the added cost to our bill. Valets were rarely available and one time we had to keep coming back inside to complain (which we did very nicely) to the front desk. Each time, the front desk had to call various numbers to managers who never answered their phones. The parking lot was fairly small (I later became aware they had an underground lot). I was left wondering if the company to which the valet parking was subcontracted, did not assign enough valets to the various shifts.

The stains on the walls made me question how deeply they clean the rooms, it looked as if someone spilled a liquid on the walls, and it had been there since a previous stay. The bath tub had dark soap scum on the bottom. We wore our flip flops to make sure we didn’t catch any fungus.

I want to give a great review because the staff was great! From the airport shuttle to the front desk staff super efficient and helpful. BUT the room itself leaves more to be desired. The room felt damp. The shower was dirty, stained almost and it had a smell. The shower curtain was moldy. We were there to quickly nap and get back to the airport.

I expected the DoubleTree by Hilton to be a first-class hotel. Unfortunately, our room on the 2nd floor had three major problems: 1. No hot water - lukewarm at best 2. The tub did not drain - several inches of water remained in the tub for over 30 minutes 3. The door to the room was not aligned with the door frame, so a space of almost 1" allowed light (and potentially observation) from the hallway to enter the room. I was quite shocked, to put it mildly.

We appreciated the free transportation to JFK. However the room we stayed in (702, if the hotel reads this) was incredibly noisy. The double glazed unit in the room wasn’t sealed and we were at the traffic end of the hotel. We resorted to stuffing tissues into the gap, to bring the noise down. We had the hotel evening buffet, which was over priced. There didn’t seem to be any other nearby alternative place to eat. Staff, though we’re very nice and helpful.

The shuttle to the airport was good but there was no facility to store our luggage, so we felt trapped. In addition, the room was facing the highway and the airport runway and the window was not sound insulated and we were disturbed all night by traffic noise, as if we were outside.

You advertise 24 hour shuttle. three times I waited and there was no line and people shoved their way ahead of us. Front desk had three people working, I was in line to check in, and an airline crew skipped the line and got served before the rest of us. " I bet they did not pay $350 per night like I did. Check in and check out staff could not smile. Like they had something against the customers. We had to ask for cookies because it was not given to us at check in. For the price we paid, we would have expected breakfast included but apparently not. Shuttle bus driver and cleaning staff was excellent. Also, rooms were not soundproofed as claimed. Could hear noise from next room and someone blaring music outside all night. Was trying to get some rest after an 8 hour overnight flight delay but disappointed.

Overall stay was good for an overnight airport stay. The problem was that when we arrived at JFK we tried to call the hotel to check about the shuttle since there was no specific information on their website or in any communication. The phone just kept ringing and then disconnected. We finally called Hilton corporate and they told us where to pick up the shuttle. Once we arrived we waited 45 minutes out in the cold for the shuttle to arrive. Again trying to call the hotel directly to get an estimated arrival time and again no answer for the full 45 minutes. There was another couple experiencing the same thing. When I mentioned it at the hotel they said that they always pick up the phone and had no explanation or apology for why I had 20+ unanswered calls in my call log. Hotel was clean and comfortable, but service was terrible.

When your first experience ruins everything. The shuttle pick in JFK was terrible!! The shuttle pick was full and the doubletree van when right thru I was signaling and was ignored. Immediately call the hotel to ask if he can return since I was ignored and after an hour and fifteen minutes decided to take a cab to this hotel. In the front desk I commented the experience and in a badly manner the lady just said “thank you we will notice and inform the manager” terrible welcoming atittude

Hotel was close/convenient to JFK Airport as a late evening flight was delayed to the following morning. Last minute booking was stressful, but the online booking APP made it easy, the two ladies working the front desk were amazing, offering up toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant and waters as I didn't have my checked bags/luggage with me.

When we checked in there were three representatives, each with one guest in front of them and then we were next in line. It took over an hour to get checked in. When we reached the front desk we were told that there were no more double beds, even though I had booked about 4 months in advance. Miraculously they found a room. When we got to our room the toilet was running, smelled and had oily grey water in the tank. They did switch us to another room which was better. The only bright point was Reneisha, the day we checked out, as she helped us with a minor problem and was very nice.

Clean and comfortable hotel. The free airport shuttle was a convenient way to get to JFK and public transportation, as there’s not much to do or see within walking distance of the hotel. I would definitely stay there again but would request a room NOT facing Belt Parkway which was noisy at all times of day and night and you could hear it through the closed windows.

The room was fine. It was clean and comfortable. The restaurant not so fine. Service was slow, french fries were cold when served. Because there were no other restaurants in the vicinity, the food was over priced. The neighborhood was poor. The hotel was okay for a very quick in/out stay with just a room needed.

I chose this hotel because it was supposed to have a restaurant. Many of the hotels near JFK don't. However when i came down for dinner i was told they only had a buffet which was pretty awful. The room was nice but no better than any of the other hotels in the area, many of them cheaper. Won't return here

I was very impressed by how clean this hotel is. However the restaurant staff is another story. The food took too long, and was average. I just didn't like the way they handle my bill yesterday. They brought me a bill with tip included but they crossed it out but the total still included the tip. And this morning we went for breakfast but honest it took them forever to replenish the food but at 9 am told everyone that if they needed anything else they had to go get them because they qere closed. Most of ua were waiting for food to be replenished.

Had to book a last minute reservation due to flight cancelation and needed a nearby hotel. Booked Doubletree based on hotels.com rating but truly disappointed with our choice, particularly with the room, restaurant, breakfast options or lack thereof. Especially considering the price. Excellent room - I am not sure why my room did not have a fridge, just an empty cabinet. During a heatwave this was disappointing. It had a coffee machine, microwave and safe. It was very comfortable and quiet. I used the gym, it was very well equipped, I had a good meal at the bar. I have used this hotel previously as it has a good reliable transfer to JFK.
