The room was nice. There was no parking and were told to park at Golden Nugget. We didn't know there was a cost and ended up paying $50 for parking when we had a room at Plaza. We told the attendant when checking in and he didn't care and didn't offer any courtesy for not having parking.

Simple hotel if it’s in your budget, not the BEST but it was ok for my short weekend trip. One thing that did irritate the frick outta me was the parking AND their parking elevators. How are you going tell me to walk up and down some flight of stairs with my luggage and my child in Vegas heat? Oh and to top it off as my family and 12,000 other families were trying to leave on Sunday after checking out, and their parking barrier gate wasn’t working so we have to sit in our car, in 100 degree heat until the security physically opened the barrier. Fun times.

Room was clean, but horrible lighting,could not leave curtains open to hot and ac didn’t work right. Last day checking out it had stopped working. The layout for bathroom odd and sink very high. I am tall and had issues with the height. No valet parking. Pool area very nice except concrete very slippery and table chairs and pool needed cleaning .

The only thing I didn’t like was that the pool closed and nine pm . There were some times I wanted a late night swim. I would suggest closing at 11 pm.

I don’t typically make reviews, but I was really surprised at the condition of my room. The couch seemed to have an oil stain of some sort, the bathroom sink had a ton of water stains that looked very unappealing and was clogged so using the sink required you to wait for all the water to drain. When I went to shower there was absolutely no shower gel or soap and no wash cloths. All of this seems like pretty standard stuff to me for hotels so they missed the mark. Connie at the front desk was great though! Loved her energy and friendliness.

The entire hotel smelled, our room smelled, later discovered mold in the room and it was very hard to sleep with allergies. The room was dated and not as advertised for a four-star hotel. Paid almost $400 for one night for a terrible experience.

The room itself was ok. Bed was comfortable, we for the quiet side of the hotel which was nice. However the bathroom is awful. It’s tiny, dimly lit and impossible to get ready in. The tv was an old style very small one that rarely worked.

I asked for a non-smoking room, but did not get it. The bed sheets smelled so badly of smoke that I could not wear my night gown the next night for the strong smell of smoke. The casino dominates this hotel. We were on the 21st floor, but were still kept awake by music played downstairs until 2 AM. One has to walk through the casino to reach the reiteration desk of the hotel. Please mark this hotel as VERY noisy until the wee hours of the night!

Room was clean but pretty dated. The shower head was installed for someone no taller than 5’5” so be prepared if you are a taller person. We picked a room with a view of Fremont but the window looked like it hadn't been cleaned on the outside since installed. The lady that checked us in though was very nice and I love that they let you pick a quiet room on the pool side or a Fremont St. facing room. We were on the Fremont side and an 8th floor room. You could definitely hear the music but it wasn't anything that kept us up at night. We did have issues one night with someone beating on our door at 3am and then running off. The gym has a place to fill water bottles so you can get free water before heading out. They also provide free water in rooms. They are the little bottles, but said we get four a day. There was only two in our room and I'm not sure where we were supposed to get more since room service doesn't come to your room while there. Its a cheap room and if you're not looking for anything fancy and just a place to sleep and shower it works and is convenient for Fremont Street.

Room was clean and nice, but stayed in room 1402 facing Fremont street and that was a big mistake.The band playing on Fremont street played till 2 am and kept me up 3 straight nights.It was loud and could hear it in my room.Room needs to be sound proofed.Id advise to stay away from rooms facing Fremont Street in North Tower

Was put in the South Tower this time. Bed was comfortable. No coffee pot. No USB outlets. No extra power outlets. Lamps without accessible on/off switches. Bathroom sink was plugged, so was the sink in a friend’s room six floors up. A/C unit sounded like a jet turbine engine. Friends that stayed in the North Tower had none of these issues. There should be a South Tower discount.

Location is good. The rooms are clean. Free parking was much appreciated. The walls are really thin and we could hear everything the couple next to us were saying or doing. When they got back from a late night out they woke my wife up. Consider bringing earplugs.

On Freemont Street which is a fun alternative to the strip. This hotel could be much cleaner though. The toilet was disgusting! The small couch in the room was absolutely awful and if it can't be cleaned should be removed completely. The wait at check in was much longer than necessary and I should not need to be a "VIP" member to get prompt service. I stayed at 10 different hotels during this cross country vacation and this one took much longer than any others.

We were only 3rd in line to check in when we arrived but it took almost an hour to check in. They kept taking the VIP line first and when I was next, the lady told me to stop and wait since she had to clock out. This left only one employee, again only taking VIP. When I finally got to the window, I complained and was told that he can get a manager and I can file a complaint but nothing will happen.

We were very unhappy. First: Our room keys were not working. So my wife had to go back down to the front desk which was very far where you have to walk all the way across the Casino from the South Tower to the Lobby in North Tower. The lady at the Front desk could not figure out why our keys were not working. So she gave us another key for different room. So frustrating! Second: Air Conditioner was not working! It stalled on 82 degrees and kept blowing warm air. We could not set the temps at all. Called but no one showed up. I got a nose bleed the next morning because the room temp was so hot. Luckily we only stayed for one night. Hot water took 10 minutes to get warm, we were rushed to go so my wife had to deal with a cold water shower. My kids who showered after her finally got a warm water shower. Pool is so small. Shower tub very slippery, don't forget to put the mat on. Room was good size with refrigerator. Two stars for: 1. Parking garage was convenient with a working elevator. 2. They have Food court with a Subway that open 24 hr (live saver, when we were starving at 11pm after long drive), Asian food "Just Rice" was the best!! Highly recommend. Gelato and coffee shop was good price at the corner. My kids bought gelato two times during our one night stay. There's also Mexican food that opens late. Other than that, Plaza is just an Old hotel.

Wasn’t expecting to stay the night in Vegas but was caught in some bad weather and decided it was best to stay. This location was the cheapest of the options available to me, so I’m not surprised I had a few issues. One was the speed at which the front desk checked people in; with 4 people working the counter, I was expecting it to be a rather quick thing but was surprised it took 20 minutes to move through the line of 3 people and get my room keys. Also, the way this hotel works with third parties it is very misleading, I felt conned into paying a resort fee that, if it had been provided in the final price of booking the room, I would have looked elsewhere. The next issue I had with this hotel was that you are not able to borrow a luggage cart; instead, you must tip an employee to take your items to the room, which wouldn’t have been an issue except for the fact that the keeper of the luggage carts was very rude and a complete ass and made it my issue that he is working for tips at this cheap hotel and I would rather hurt myself lifting my items than give him a dollar. Once in my room, I saw that the room wasn't filthy, but it wasn't clean. If you are planning on staying here, do not expect anything more from this hotel than a clean bed. I spent most of my walking-around money on the hotel next door, The Circa, and in the future if I need to stay the night in Vegas, I'll shell out the extra few bucks and stay there

I was pleasantly surprised and would stay there again. However I did book “run of the house” so like their cheapest room and when I arrived they only had smoking rooms left so I upgraded to a nonsmoking bigger room. Only $40 extra for the upgrade but was a little bit of a surprise. The casino smells STRONGLY of cigarette smoke. Over all I enjoyed my stay because my room itself was extremely clean and comfortable. The staff were fantastic and I liked that there’s a lot to do right next to the hotel.

I've stayed at the Plaza multiple times but unfortunately this will be my last stay. The staff was so unfriendly and rude. I paid extra to upgrade my room with the promise of a great view and additional amenities. What I got was a view of a parking garage and the freeway. The room only has 2 bath towels 1 hand towels and 1 wash cloth when I contacted housekeeping for more they said that should be sufficient for a 3 night stay for 2 people. Front desk staff was so unprofessional they had an employee behind the desk that was obviously on some type of substance. Bartenders lying about the cost of drinks to put extra in their pocket. This was a great hotel with an old school vibe but it's been ruined by the people that work there.

What's not to like? This property is in the heart of downtown, is a thirty second walk to all of Fremont Street's wonderful chaos, but is JUST far enough away (west side of Main Street) to retain a bit of sanity. However, if you stay there, be absolutely SURE to be extra 'nice' ;) to the front desk staff and request a room that's as-far-as-possible from the front of the property, that is, IF you intend to sleep during your visit to Nevada.

The hotel building is older and could use some updates. The staff are exceptional, as is the building cleanliness. Location is perfect, walk out the front door and go straight and you are on Fremont street, so much fun! All in all, great reviews for Plaza Hotel!

The Plaza Hotel is one of the older hotels in Las Vegas. I enjoyed my stay there as Fremont Street deadends at the hotel. There were several dining options inside the hotel. I ate at both Hash House a Go Go and Fresh Mexican Grill. Both were excellent, but, be aware the portion sizes at the Hash House are huge! The hotel had a nice pool area with several seats as well as an onsite bar. The hotel was clean and the casino area looked well kept too. The best part of my stay was the friendliness of all staff that I interacted with including the front desk, restaurant workers, security guards and maids. For some people though, the rooms aren't the most modern but I found that I had plenty of space for my belongings. The room I chose had 2 queen sized beds as well as a chair at the desk and 1 lounge chair. I know people commented on the size of the bathroom but since I traveled alone, I never needed to shut it. I would say the hotel is a good option if you're staying in downtown Las Vegas vs. the Strip.

Another great stay but gotta freshen up the music playlist at the pool. Too repetitive if hanging there for a few days. Pop-Up Pizza is amazing. This coming from former pizza shoppe owner in Boston. Staff great. Needs more Reas to sit and lounge while having a cigar. AC worked great in room. Carousel Bar best place to sit and people watch at base of Fremont. Will be back.

Breakfast was delicious...just wish the restaurant wasn't on the same floor as the casino. Not fond of smelling smoke while I eat. Staff was very nice; however, at check in they should have let us know that they now require 24 hours notice if we want our guest room serviced. Parking was easy. The room was clean and provided everything we needed. The hook on the back of the bathroom door was missing and would've been appreciated. However, we also know that the North Tower renovations are expected so we completely understood. We liked the North Tower as it was close to the Fremont Street Experience & alll the action in Downtown.
