The General manager was there every day and was very nice. Breakfast was included and typical make your own waffles, hot eggs, biscuits, gravy, juice, cereals, and muffins/ bagels. Coffee and hot water available all day. This is a nice touch as so many only offer coffee with breakfast. 4 floors and only one ice machine in the lobby. Our bathtub faucet handle fell off the last morning. Linen service during our 3 night stay was by request only. They did empty garbage but no other service unless you request it. Over all good places to stay and good location for doing flea markets and wineries in the area within a 20-40min drive. Convenient location right off 64 and not too far into Louisville downtown area.

We stayed 2 nights for some activities we had planned in Louisville. Upon checking in, we were told the elevator was out. They offered to let us cancel our stay for free but we needed a room and everything else in the area was booked. Thus, we had to climb the stairs to our third floor room. The elevator had been down for at least one day before our arrival and was not fixed while we were there. The stairwells were disgusting with spills that were smeared into the carpet and they were never cleaned during our stay. Our room had visible hair on the towels and random small pieces of something on the floor. The room was damp from humidity or just lack of ventilation. The sheets also felt damp and clothes that we had set on the table became damp overnight. The workout space was a good size but had very little equipment. The breakfast was decent. We also heard what seemed to be stomping or very loud walking around from the room above us. We called the front desk and it got better but was never actually quiet. The walls and floors are paper thin. I would not stay here again.

Clean and quiet. Great for a one night stay. Wish the pool was open but it was not the hotel’s fault.

Ok for a night. However, ants in room in the morning. Breakfast at 740 AM was out of sausage, said they were bringing more but didn’t get until we were leaving at 845. Pool was closed. Front desk said pump recently broken. Egg with cheese omelettes were verging on burnt and pretty much gone by 8 Am

Was very disappointed. The pool was not open. I was told it was broke. The refrigerator in the room was barely cool. The air conditioning unit in the room wasn’t working properly. Room was warm and stuffy.

Positive They remodeled the place according to the front desk. The rooms were nice. The area was quiet. The hallways were clean. The breakfast was good. The front desk (all of them) were very nice and accommodating. Negative The POOL is NOT WORKING. Very disappointed when you are staying 5 days with children. That should have been stated on the site somewhere and not only told during arrival. Housekeeping was strange. I understand many hotels are different. Did not know you have to tell them you want the beds made. The housekeeper took the dirty towels and washcloths (there are 4 of us) and left 1 towel, she did not replace the dirty ones. She did not refill the tissues nor replace the soap, shampoos used. I'm thinking the housekeeper was forgetful...it happened twice. The gym has One treadmill, one bike. They could invest is more equipment. The air conditioning did NOT work. If you want a good sweat then it works lol. The sink outside of the bathroom directly by the door entrance is wierd. Not sure if all of the rooms are configured the same but it's not a great design. But Overall, it's a nice place to stay.

Elevator broke twice during our stay, had to move rooms because of dirty bedding, unable to flush toilet paper in public restroom.

Hotel room had clean issues, seemed to have gone down from last years stay.

The Comfort Inn in Shelbyville smelled of bleach when we walked in. I thought cleanliness. I had been told that it was recently renovated. When I checked out I left a list of things that needed attention in Room 207, with the lady at the desk. I believe she threw it away as I was walking out. So, I will give you the list to you. *The phone did not work. *Black handprints on the bathroom door. *Chips out of the tub. "C" missing from the vanity faucette. *Blood or vomit splatter around toilet. *Multiple broken tiles in bathroom. *Sticky carpet at the desk area. *Armchair was torn in 2 places. *Black mold over shower head. *Accent wall had several chips. *Blind on right window at front entrance looked like a cat had a field day. You are very convenient when I visit a relative in the area, but I think next time I will be staying somewhere else. else.

The room looked clean but overall needed a lot more work. There was something sticky on the sink and floor. There were crumbs on most surfaces. The floor needed to be vacuumed and the trash had not been removed from the last person who stayed there. The bed skirt had a gross looking stain on it.

The room was very damp. 30 minutes after being in the rook our clothes were noticeably damp from the moisture. The walls were dirty in multiple places. two places appear to have either blood or ketchup smeared on the walls.

Very clean, and peaceful.

Checking in staff was great. My problem was the blood splatter on the walls and base board, serious biohazard. Carpet appeared to have dried up vomit near my bed as well. Took a video and pics to show staff. And was moved to another room.

Our room was musty and smelly. Shower drain was rusty and needs replacing. Refrigerator didn’t get cold. Needs upgrading.

The room above me had some one that did a lot of walking and it aggravated me. The sound of the foot steps and squeaking floor.

The room was nice but there was quite a bit of noise both in the hotel rooms adjacent to our room and from the outside because of proximity to the interstate and exit ramp! Everything else was great!

Nice place , staff was good . Only bad thing was no dresser in the room for clothes . The room was spacious , so I don't understand that.It was right off of I64 and close to everything we wanted to do.

Room layout not best. Would like the sink in bathroom. Compliment breakfast mediocre. Slow check in.

The room itself was nice but heard the people and the elevator all night.

Went to room noticed both beds were slanted From foot to head.as i was a contractor i noticed that the floors were not level.we got our room changed. Also there was a brown stain on the coverd chair.also road noise was very loud all night.Will not be staying Again.

Overall good experience for just passing through and staying one night. We got in late, but were checked in quickly. Most of the parking seemed to be on the other side of the door though so that felt odd. The room was clean, but definitely needed some work done and a refresh. Our rooms temperature was set to 80 degrees for some reason so it was super hot and took a while to cool down. Check out was easy and staff was friendly.

I like the pool for the kids. The room is big enough. I didn’t like, that the room doesn’t have a refrigerator in it.

Staff was very friendly and helpful

I made my reservation on April 2 for my stay from June 5-8. I even called the hotel on June 3 to confirm my reservation. I had reserved a handicapped room with 2 queen beds. As I was coming through Nashville, I received a phone call from the clerk at the hotel saying that the people in the room that we had reserved were apparently staying over. He asked me if I wanted to move to a regular room with 2 queen beds or the handicapped room with a king bed. I told him that I really didn't want to change to either one, since that was not what I had reserved. I did change to the regular room which was on the second floor. Everything was ok until we returned from the event that we attending about 11 p.m. on Friday and the elevator wasn't working. My 94-year-old mother was with me and there was no way for her to walk up 20 steps to our room. We then had to change to the handicapped room on the first floor with the king bed. Then I had to go and move all our belongings to our new room. The bathroom in this room was awful because there was no place to set anything. This could have all been avoided if we had not been moved in the first place. Apparently having a reservation doesn't mean much.

I didn't even get to stay, the hotel cancelled my booking without notifying me and rented out my room at a much much higher price to someone else. They cancelled my booking internationally so that they could price gouge concert goers the day of the event.

When we first arrived, we were given a room on the 3rd floor. We walked into the room to discover it was someone else's room. I went back down to get another room, and the person who checked us in was talking with another customer, whom she knew. When I told her the problem, the other guest started badmouthing all the staff, with exception of the friend at the desk, who she said was the only fantastic person who worked there. The check-in person then badmouthed the housekeeping staff, saying they never got it right and it was their fault she gave me the wrong room. Completely unprofessional. The room itself was decent. It appeared clean and everything was in working order. The towels were questionable, so we ended up going to Walmart to purchase towels and washcloths. We stayed 3 nights. The next two nights, we learned that they deactivate the cards every day. Our key cards would work during the day, but every evening they wouldn't work and would have to be reset. The person at the desk tried to blame me both times, saying I left it too close to my cell phone. However, I know that key cards deactivate when near phones, so I made sure they were nowhere close. Then she told me that actually the cards are bad and deactivate themselves. Overall a quiet and fairly clean place to stay, but the staff is so unprofessional. We will not stay here again, since there is a great hotel in Simpsonville, a few miles away.

The staff is super friendly, the surrounding area is under construction, so be prepared for that

Was unaware of the $199. deposit required to stay. Travelocity mentioned the possibility of additional fees but $199. was ludicrous. Was told that this fee only applies if you book online through a third party. I have NEVER had to pay a deposit in all the years I’ve travelled. Will never stay with Comfort Inns again.

The people were so nice. Our air wasn’t working and they graciously moved us to another room.

This is a nice place to stay after a long road trip through the Kentucky horse farm backroads. Elevator is needing some lubrication on something, but otherwise all is well with this hotel. Cattleman's Roadhouse is located next door and nice to eat at. Safe to park and able to see my car. Good (free) breakfast too.

This hotel was priced right, and right off the higway exit but no road noise. It wasnt too far from restaurants and stores.. Staff was very friendly, we would definitely stay again.

Convenient location between Louisville and Lexington. Nice rooms and lobby/breakfast area. Good restaurant next door. An easy walk parking lot to parking lot.

Clean, comfortable, and safe. Close enough to Louisville on my way through so I could stop there and go bourbon shopping.

The Cattleman's Steak House is within walking distance. There is a gas station close but not much else. This makes for a quiet stay.

For this to be a renovated property, it look as if the construction was rushed! Looks very sloppy. I had to eat My breakfast in a made up meeting room, as there wasn’t enough room in the dining room. And when I say “made up” it was literally a table with a couple of chairs and a bunch of boxes with stuff for the rooms they continue to renovate. The kitchen is set up very poorly, creating quite the cluster as you attempt to get your breakfast!! Room was clean. Bed was not comfortable. Pool was not open.

Rooms okay, said they had a hot breakfast but nothing there, just rolls , yogurt plus there no cups for the juice. I would have stayed at the Red Roof inn if I new this
