Riviera Maya Suites

We loved staying at the rivera maya. The rooms are comfortable and large! It's walkable to the beach, shopping, dining, etc. We will definitely be back. Manual at the front desk was pleasant and wonderful s to work with. They offer complimentary beach chairs and umbrellas. Couldn't ask for more

the garden balcony, lots of space in the apartment. the mini oven could use an upgrade, laundry machines very useful, AC worked great, friendly and helpful staff. the pool was great, quiet, my family were the only ones in the pool most of the time. the hammocks were great. rooftop patio was also nice, close to 5th ave but not loud (garden facing). close to the beach. room cleaners were great. highly recommend, hope to come back sometime.

Clean, large rooms, hot tub, quiet and close to everything. I stay here every time I come through Playa and always happy. The staff is always kind and thoughtful. Washing machine and dryer is a huge bonus as well.

We loved how close this was to 5th Avenue where all the vendors and restaurants are, it was just a short walk to the beach. There was an excellent supermarket 200 meters away. Our condo was very nice, it wasnt a top luxury style room, but I would give it a B , excellent and comfortable for the price. The in unit laundry machines were great. They provided a small cobtainer of laundry soap, an iron, and hamper, the kitchen was equipped with a full Sized fridge, oven, dishwasher and stovetop, full sets of dishes, cookware, utinsels, and drinking water dispenser. They provided dish soap. The dining room was great a table with 8 chairs. The living room had two wicker style couches, and a television. There was a nice balcony with patio furniture, table, couches, and a grill with propane. We did not have a hammock with our unit, we saw where one could be hooked up. There were two bedrooms one with a king sized bed the other had 2 queen sized bedrooms. Both bathrooms had their own bathrooms. They provided washcloths and towels- these were very basic thinner white towels. There was a hair dryer in one of the bathrooms. The master bedroom had a safe. The rooms had built in cabinets and wardrobes with hangers and both rooms had televisions. They dont have hand soap, so we picked some up at the store. Housekeeping came every other day, we washed our towels ourselves on the off days. Underground parking, and excellent pool, and hot tub and gardens. Staff were friendly.

Good a secure parking. Very nice central location, but it was extremely noisy at night. Large and spacious condo, nice rooms and roof top area. Overall a great rental for us.

Es una muy buena opción para hospedarse. La habitación necesita ser renovada, luce un poco aburrida y vieja. Pero la ubicación es muy buena, a pasos de la Quinta Avenida, pero lejos del ruido; muy cerca de la playa Mamitas y el hotel ofrece sillas, toallas y sombrillas de playa, lo cual es muy útil y conveniente. Además muy cerca de buenas opciones para comer y compras

This was a very nice property right next to 5th Ave for convenience. There were taxis on the corner frequently, if needed. The pool area was so nice and the trees blocked the city views/ streets that were so close. There was a restaurant with live music across the street, so some nights you could hear the music very late, but it was *mostly muffled and didn't bother me too much. We were in a suite which was wonderful and had a nice kitchen, but no coffee available. ( coffee maker- yes, but no coffee available). On my last day i found a grocery store that was only about 2.5 blocks away. I should have sought it out on my first day, as i actually didn't care for some of the coffee options nearby ( & would have saved money). We didn't cook with all the eating options nearby, but we could have enjoyed some snacks if we had gone there early on. ...The optional transportation they offer to & from airport worked out great. The Ado bus would have saved us some $$ but i was traveling with my daughter, so this seemed the best for us.

Our bungalow suite was great! Very clean and comfortable and the patio was wonderful. Everyday we would sit out and enjoy the beautiful gardens and the cute little critters - coatis, agoutis, brightly colored birds, the resident cats, and even a monkey came swinging through the trees! They keep the room, patios, pools and walkways through the gardens very clean. Visit the rooftop in the evenings to feel a lovely breeze and the moonlight off the water. Highly recommended.

The room was not clean . There was fungus smell in the room and hallway . Complain to front desk but they did not care . Bed sheet were not clean and smell bad .

Lovely and clean property. Right on the avenue. The Staff were great helpful and very repectful. Couldnt ask for more.

I enjoyed my stay at Riviera Maya suites. Location for me was perfect. We were able to walk every where without getting so tired or lost. The room was simple yet it fulfilled all our needs. We came back to a clean room every day. The pool area was always clean and free from rowdy crowds. It was very enjoyable. And the easiness of ordering your transportation from airport and back right through the hotel reservation made my stay run smoothly with no worries. There is a taxi service around the corner if you need it. Overall I would 100% come back again to visit this property!

Convenient location in a very touristy town. Nice pool. Room smelled of mould and loud noise from the nearby bar. Wifi doesn’t work in room. Good cleaning.

We are a family of 6 and love it here It was our 3rd time coming. We come back because it is always clean, they take pride in keeping everything looking great. Staff is always nice, especially Mr. Gonzalo, their bellboy. We love that they have washer/dryer in the apartments and price is reasonable.

It is okay for the price. It did smell moldy inside the rooms.

Nice place to stay in Playa Carmen. We had the 2 bedroom suite which was huge. Comfortable beds, nice patio and kitchen. The washer and dryer were hsndy. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would stay here again

Location and staff were amazing. The beds were rock hard, the bedding and pillows are terrible. Needed to ask for extra blankets. Should get new pillows and thicker more cozy duvets.

The bed was very hard, the couch was tiny and uncomfortable, and the bedroom did not have a tv. The location was excellent and secure parking. A basic condo, pool was shady and hot tub was luke warm. Staff was helpful and front desk was informative. Overall not worth the money but live and learn.

Had an amazing stay at Riviera Maya Suites. The location is right next to the beach which is perfect for families and if you don't want beach water the pool area is pretty is nice with the greenery and stone work at pool area. I stayed at the 3 bedroom penthouse and the rooms were so spacious, clean, and modern. It's amazing how each bedroom had their own spacious bathroom which impressed my friends since we all appreciated that it was a perfect vacation space for my group of friends. It's also convenient there is laundry room that comes with laundry soap. We had our own personal balcony and rooftop Terrence which was a unique feature I had never had before. The location has many stores and restaurants within walking distance. I always felt safe since there is security at eh building and police that look out down the street. Staff were friendly and nice and helped with whatever we needed. Price was affordable for holiday weekend and for the space you get with the penthouse. Would definitely come back when in Playa Del Carmen again.

Great location. 2 bedroom apartment with a garden view was very large and had a great balcony.

Loved location and our bungalow palapa porch (#122) however noise was definitely heard as we backed onto hot tub and pool. Some guests did not obey noise and time rules. Our bungalow was basic, sheets were extremely rough, but clean. Bungalow was in need of updating but the housekeeping staff were amazing and the grounds immaculate. Loved the beach chairs and umbrella (beach was about 5 minutes walk)

Le Riviera Maya Suites a dépassé mes attentes sur tous les plans ! La chambre était spacieuse et bien équipée. Un gros plus avec le balcon vue sur piscine. La piscine est entourée d'arbres immenses, on se sent vraiment en pleine jungle, alors qu'on est à moins d'une minute à pied de la rue la plus animée de playa Del Carmen ! Parlons de l'emplacemement ! Celui-ci est extraordinaire. Cela a été un grand plus dans notre séjour de tout faire à pied. Beaucoup de dépanneurs, de bons restaurants et d'animations à seulement quelques pas de l'hôtel ! Finalement , le personnel est d'une gentillesse sans égale, spécialement Manuel avec qui j'ai échangé beaucoup pendant notre séjour ! Merci Manuel pour ta gentillesse et ta patience :) Ceci n'est qu'un aurevoir! On se reverra sûrement ! Elliot & Amal

Stayed in suite 123. Very pleased with the hotel. Friendly staff and overall good place. Excellent value for money.

Amazing overall!! Manuel was standout. Service was incredible. Only complaint was the showers did not get hot but overall remarkable value. Wil be coming back!

buenas tardes,este es mi review de mi estancia en el hotel maya, hemos estado con mi familia 2 veces y esta fue la tercera vez y estuve yo solo en viaje de negocios, tuve un accidente en la noche al ir a el lobby a recoger una sábana que pedi en la mañana y no me la llevaron a el cuarto, estaba mojado el piso, no habia ningun senal de resbaloso y cai y al golpearme la cabeza me la corte,salio mucha sangre en el pizo,el guardia solo memiraba , le pedi alluda para levantarme y fue que me alludo despues de unos minutos, le dije que no hay ningun senal que indique que todo el pizo esta resbalozo y me dejo en el lobby sangrando y se fue a poner el senal despues regreso a limpiar la sangre del piso y agarro el telefono y se puso a hablar a alguien, me tuve que ir a mi cuarto a tratar de parar la sangre, a el dia siguiente sali para ir a el hospital para recibir 3 saturadas y medicina para que no se infectara y para la contucion, antes de irme a el hospital le pedi a la housekepper si podia limpiar mi cuarto porque la almohada y sabana estaba llena de sangre inluyendo el bano, ninguno del hotel se acerco para saber si se necesitaba algo o si queria un bendaje mientras hiba a el hospital,estuve dos dias mas para terminar el negocio que tenia. ,es muy triste que no tengan consideracion de los huespedes, me pregunto si se hubiaran actuado con una persona americana hubiera sido diferente? esa es una muy buena pregunta., tengo todas las fotos y la cortada que sufri en la cabeza .,muchas

Always a wonderful experience at Riviera Maya Suites. The staff is incredible and so friendly!

I had so many problems at this hotel. I do not understand how it has such good reviews. First, the room we were given was not the room that was booked or as described in the booking. Next, the television in the room was broken and there was no hot water. We complained and eventually the TV and water were fixed. Hotel also has a bad insect problem. I had flying ants and other insects swarm into the room every night from openings in the bathroom. I complained about this but no attempt was made to resolve it and no other rooms were available. The power for the hotel also went out a few times during my stay. I attempted to obtain a refund for the stay but it was refused by hotel management. I wasted to many hours of my vacation dealing with issues with my room.

We had a good stay at Riviera Maya Suites. We enjoyed the amenities, location and swimming pool. The service (tone) was not the best at reception but it was better after this, Make sue to have a room/flat overlooking the garden and not the street to avoid the noise from the quinta avenida.

We've been to Playa multiple times and have stayed in all different locations. We loved this place and its location the best! Just a block from the beach but a view of 5th Ave...The best of both worlds.

The location is close to the beach, shopping, restaurant and 5th avenue. It has a jungle vibe and you get to see animals visiting your balcony that you have not seen before. The staff are very attentive and welcoming.

The first suite we were given was right over 5th avenue, and the bar on the corner had such loud music past 1am that I couldn't sleep. Fortunately they were able to put us in another suite, which was fantastic. Kids loved the pool. Beach & 5th Ave close by and convenient walk to everything. Hotel staff gave us some great recommendations for cenotes like Kaan Luum. My son got sick and they recommended a great doctor just down the street. Can't say enough great things about this hotel! But, if traveling with kids or wanting to get to bed before 1am, call ahead to make sure you're not getting the suite right over 5th Ave.

Riviera Maya Suite is located near the busy 5th Av. so very accessible to restaurants and also is very close to the beach. The personnel is very amicable and very helpful. The property gives you a feeling of being in the jungle. The yards, pool area brings calm and serenity. Overall a great place to stay for a no frills/simple way of living.

Beautiful apartment in a prime location in Playa del Carmen (right on 5th Avenue). Daily cleaning, large pool in the garden, and the sea less than a 5-minute walk away.

No coffee in rooms just coffee pot

Una propiedad con una ubicación privilegiada pues está todo super cerca, el punto de encuentro para los tours queda a menos de 100m. También me encantó que todo el jardín es como una selva. La piscina, aunque pequeña, muy acogedora y limpia. Me hospedé en un búngalo muy equipado con utensilios de cocina, muy útil. Lo que no me gustó en absoluto es que no hay deshumidificadores por lo que huele muy fuerte a húmedo (sobre todo al ingresar), tanta que te puedes encontra en los pisos de la habitación algunos insectos propios de zonas húmedas. Deberían prestar mucha atención a eso. Tampoco me agradó que no se me hizo mención de la contraseña del wifi al momento del check in y, aunque sí había una red, al no haber teléfono en la habitación para comunicarse a recepción, ya en un la noche fue muy impráctico conseguir la información, pues yo salía muy temprano y llegaba noche (olvidando solicitarlo). Adicional, no he revisado bien la reserva pero creo que ofertaba desayuno y el hotel no tiene restaurante así que no hubo tal. A pesar de esos detalles, el personal es amable.

Basically just a room, no coffee pot,no room service. Just the nessicity to sleep. Staff is very nice and friendly. They are very happy to assist you. Right on a very busy street.

This was a great place for our family to stay for a couple days, but only a couple day. It has a great location right on 5Th ave, bring ear plugs the music goes all night. The pool was cold but clean. The staff was helpful, friendly and eager to please. The penthouse unit was nice, roof top deck was great. The kitchen left something to desire but functional. There is a grocery store abt a block away, beach just down the road and all the shops and restaurants right on your door step. Just as advertised.
