Singular Dream Beach Residences

The property and room were well appointed. Unfortunately the safe did not work for the first two days but was fixed. The pools were freezing cold and the hot tub was not working. According to some owners it had been broken for 2 months. Disappointing since we paid for these amenities.

The rooftop views are breathtaking, my only observation is that the maintenance of the pools are not the best.

Nice roof top pool area and great gym. Unit had no hot water and took 2 1/2 days to remedy the issue with moving us to a new room. Free breakfast was given but did not make up the inconvenience of no shower for the first two days and the time it took us to move rooms

Amazing. The room was immaculate and the maids were amazing. Highly impressed. The rooftop pool was incredible - as well as the gym! Highly recommended ! We will come back Our only complaint is the WiFi and elevators work off and on

I stayed at this location for over 3 weeks. I had the opportunity to stay in 4 different residences. I love the clean lines and decor of all the rooms. Everything was always very clean and updated. Close to beach, 5th, and 7/11. The roof tops 3 pools were clean, and there was a bar. Breakfast was available for a fee. It was ok. For the most part do not expect hotel concierge type services. Expect serviced apartments, which I prefer. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The kitchen was well stocked and I cooked a lot. The only downfall was due to heavy rain the elevators were shut down for an extended time. Although for me this was difficult due to health issues, my room attendant Angel and the desk agent Isial (?) Went out of their way to accommodate me. They moved my luggage, checked on my safety, and really took great care of an older tia alone. I recommend Singular they spoiled me and are now my New Favorite in PDC. Book it!

Bien situé, super roof top

Spacious rooms, the one I got even had a full kitchen. This place is not know for its amazing restaurant, but they do have a small kitchen in the rooftop that will satisfy your hunger but it’s not going to blow you away by any means, just being honest. Their service it’s also slow, most of the time it seemed like they were caught off guard, like they were in the middle of something else, and not really observing/catering to your needs, or at least that’s how they acted. The highlight for sure it’s their rooftop pool, we had a great time there. Also, something worth mentioning it’s their 24/7 security and their private parking. This alone will save you the hassle of paying for parking out on the street and finding parking close by. The lady security guard was there every single day and night that I was in Playa, (6 days) always in a good mood and always willing to help, I’m sorry I didn’t got your name, but you know who you are! This last trip I only stayed for a few nights then moved to Mahekal, but my friends stayed here for our full stay in PDC and they loved it too. Next year when I come back, I will definitely stay here again and probably for my full stay this time! Gracias!

Elevator wasn't operaating

The condo I rented was very excellent value. That said the walls were scuffed and banged up a bit and could use some scrubbing cleaning or a repaint. There was only one pillow on the king bed. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Not as clean as I like

Unfortunately did not meet expectations. While the remodeled appearance of the property was acceptable, several issues made the experience unsatisfactory. Upon arrival, we found hair on the floor of our room. Additionally, a pair of socks- clearly left by a previous guest- remained in a cubby for the entirety of our stay, even after housekeeping visits. The towels provided were insufficient in quantity and noticeable worn. When we requested toilet paper, we were informed that the hotel had run out, and I had to purchase some myself. Of the five rooms I reserved, two had non-functioning air conditioning. Despite notifying the front desk, no immediate action was taken. The staff member inspected the room but ultimately said nothing could be done. My son-in-law also approached the front desk and was ignored. The following day , my family members were moved to another room and given a $30-$40 breakfast voucher, which was inadequate compensation for the convenience. I also observed that the room with the faulty air conditioning was reassigned to new guests the next day, who experienced the same discomfort and frustration. It appeared to be an ongoing issue without a proper solution. Overall, while the remodel was decent, the mattresses were old, the amenities were lacking, and the cleanliness and maintenance standards were disappointing. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this hotel or choose to stay here again.

Cuando llegamos a la habitación no había papel de baño, tampoco shampoo, había un acondicionador usado en la recámara. No había agua caliente para bañarnos y la cafetera estaba sucia del recipiente de cristal. La limpieza dejaba mucho que desear y tampoco en recepción pudieron proporcionarnos papel de baño. La alarma de humo se descargó por la madrugada y decidimos desactivarla, la dejamos en el mueble de la tv del cuarto.

Al menos la habitación que me tocó, las sábanas de la cama, las interiores, estaban sucias, con manchas cafecitas como de refresco o agua, el suelo se sentía sucio desde que llegamos lo sentimos

The apartment had lots of issues like dirty floor , AC very loud , coffee machine doesn't work, construction outdoor very loud, no extra key for the apartment, no hot water sometimes, wifi very weak. I won't recommend

Stay was okay but on one of the condos the AC wasn’t working. It took like a day to fix but they did fix it. The WiFi wasn’t great either but overall it was a good stay.

It was nice and relaxing, great pool/lunge area. Generous room sizes. Toiletries was pretty minimal. Runout of shampoo, soaps, was not replaced. No hot water in the shower, but does not bother me that much because of the nice hot weather.

The room is modern and spacious (two bedroom) with kitchen dining area and sofa with big screen tv. It is walking distance to shops and restaurants near the beach. The rooftop pools (2) and bar are great. Sometimes didn’t get hot water to shower and AC went out a little bit. For the most part a good stay.

The air conditioning was broken. It was 85 degrees in our room even though the patio doors were open and we were on close proximity to the beach. The hot water was not constant and would come and go while trying to take a shower. The room location was confusing and we actually tried to use our key on a similar numbered room but on the wrong side of the hotel. It was difficult to try and rest because it was so hot in the room.

5/10 - I stayed in a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom suite with a view of the ocean. The room was clean and vary nice with a large kitchen island. Pros - easy walking distance to Calle 38th and 5th avenue, clean, nice rooftop pool and amazing fitness equipment. Cons - No balcony - Some rooms had balconies and some didn't. I had a great view of the ocean but no balcony to enjoy it. Walls are paper thin - you will hear everything in the hallways and the adjoining rooms. AC makes noise and constantly wakes you up with the noise - I'm a pretty deep sleeper and the AC would wake me up all the time. Verdict - I would probably book elsewhere next time even though it's a nice and new hotel.

Overall, the property is great! Views are amazing. Apartments are very modern and comfortable. Staff are friendly and helpful. 1 block from the beach and a 2-min walk to the longest stretch of open beach in Playa (from CTM to Punta Esmerelda). Only 3 blocks to 5th Ave (Quinta) with all the shops, bars, and restaurants and an easy walk to 38th street with its tree-sheltered cafes and restaurants. Big convenience stores are a short walk away and a major grocery store can be found 6 blocks away on 34th and 10th. However, the wifi in the building frequently chokes for up to 10 or 15 minutes at a time. Not good for online meetings or watching videos. Since there is no cell reception in the building, you can only use your mobile plan to solve the problem on the rooftop. But the rooftop can be noisy if the music is jacked up. I've taken video calls at local cafes, but those can be noisy as well. Tenants in the building have told me that they've repeatedly complained about the wifi but nothing has been done. Hopefully, this review will help change that. I'm a digital nomad and we tend to stay for months, not just a week or two. I would love to recommend this place to my colleagues but I can't if the wifi problem is not fixed. So, all in all, I would highly recommend it for anyone on vacation. If it's a working vacation, think twice.

I have to knock this place for not having WiFi that works. Had to work on occasion and had to use my hotspot. This also meant TV didn't work. I wouldn't have came here had I know this. Other than that, the place is nice, the area is nice, the staff was good.

Excellent location, great covered parking, very close to Fifth Avenue, 5 minutes walking, close to restaurants, shops, markets and just a few meters from the beach. The apartment is new and clean. The cleaning service was very good and always left everything smelling great. Excellent air conditioning system. The pool area is incredible with a beautiful view of the sea. The internet offered is not good, there is a lack of kitchen utensils, I missed an electric coffee maker (not capsules), the bathroom could have had more towel hangers. With these adjustments, it will be perfect. I recommend!

El desarrollador ha hecho un excelente trabajo para crear un espacio esteticamente muy atractivo, departamentos muy comodos, y un edificio arquitectonicamente agradable. El Operador deja mucho que desear. Personal de recepcion nada agradable y hospitalario. Personal de limpieza mal entrenado o mal motivado. Muchas oportunidades perdidas. El precio me parece que fue muy bajo para la calidad de las instalaciones, y seguramente por eso esta sufriendo el servicio.

3 days without Air Conditioning and 2 days without water. 30 degrees in the room and not having running water to shower or use the bathroom was not the ideal stay. As we contacted hotels to assist with a refund so we could move hotels for the remaining days of our stay,. The manager at Singular would not answer calls or emails with hotels.ca so we were unable to be refunded and move to another hotel. Our Christmas trip was a disaster and very stressful. I will never go back to singular. The city has cut off their water supply and now they get water trucked in.

PROS: The property is very modern with spacious rooms, balconies and a rooftop with a nice view and multiple pools. It’s an easy 2 minute walk to the nearest beach and walking distance to many restaurants. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. CONS: I was highly disappointed with the level of customer service. For an establishment to look that nice I expected the customer service to be decent. It was a struggle daily getting someone to clean my room (even with the ‘Please Service’ sign on the doorknob) and provide fresh towels and beach towels. I felt like I had to beg the front desk workers and ask multiple times for the basic essentials. One of the workers completely ignored my request for clean towels after coming back from a 9 hour excursion to a non-cleaned room and dirty towels. They were stingy with the hangers — I only had two in my unit upon arrival. When I asked the front desk for more they said there should be 6 hangers. However, housekeeping only gave me 2 more. I didn’t feel like begging for the last 2 hangers. Lastly, they provide one physical key for the room rather than a room key card. So if you have multiple people in the unit it might be a struggle if you’re in/out the room at different times. In a nutshell—nice looking property with poor customer service.

After waiting for 3hrs for the check in, they didn't have the room I paid for available. They offered a cancellation and it was a nightmare fighting for the refund. It was a horrible experience. Avoid this place.

While the staff is friendly IN PERSON, overall the customer service is horrible! For the sake of time I will quickly run down EVERYTHING that went wrong with this place in chronological order. First, they ended up leaving me STRANDED at the Canacun airport! As result, as opposed to paying the $60 for hotel transportation, I was expected to pay the taxi drivers there $170-$220 USD to drive me ONE WAY to the hotel! After ultimately paying the grossly inflated taxi price, I arrived at the hotel to checkin and receive a rather tacky letter stating that they planned to charge me for any linens they deemed to be "damaged or dirtied" beyond repair. They even included specific prices for sheets, comforters, towels etc. Yet despite them giving guests this letter, never in life have I been to a place with so many tattered and dirty sheets, towels and comforters! Even a couple of the pillow cases were stained by lord knows what! It was so bad that to replace the dirty hole filled sheets on my bed they gave me MORE sheets that were dirty and stained WITH random hairs on them! There were visible mold spots underneath the glass kitchen table, stains on the walls and furniture, large amounts of dust on bathroom surfaces, and the most grungiest toilette brush you\'ve ever seen! Lastly one of the pools had a disgusting yellow film on top of the water!. This hotel could be so nice but housekeeping and customer service MUST be improved significantly!

First of all, check in is at 300pm. We arrived exactly at 300pm and the lady at the front desk said we had to wait for the guy that does Expedia check ins because she doesn’t know how. We sat and waited in the lobby along with about 10 other people for 30 minutes. Also, we put the sign for them not to come in and clean while we were away and they did anyway. The view is ok, as long as you don’t look down. The beach and prime downtown is only 5 minutes away. There’s also a roof Top bar that only took 30 minutes to make out our drinks. Breakfast options were very good. I would stay here again they just need to improve on their customer service.

Good location . Service at the front desk wasn’t attentive. House keeping was great. Check out was at 11am other wise u get $50 charge for any extra hours . Roof top was beautiful . Did not have security a the door and sometimes there were no body at the front door . Good thing playa del Carmen is safe . Restaurant are 5 mins walk , 7eleven 3 min walk. Garage was can only fit 10-15 spots keep the in mind . U can park for free around the property between 10am -10pm. The apt front door looks were old and loose . Bedroom was 10/10 WiFi was 6/10 Overall I give this property a 7/10

great location- horrible communication. i booked a king bed & queen, didn’t get it. they told me they had none available- mind you i booked room in 2024. at check in, i wasn’t provided any info. just a key. not until i asked about beach club, wifi, a few days later. power went out twice, when leaving/arriving to hotel, nothing was mentioned about it & no update. they were even checking people in and not telling them about the power outage. it was about 4 hrs of no electricity. it sucked. they also have an ants problem, that was annoying. overall, it was perfect location for us but i will not be returning in the future.

We stayed there for 7 nights in a 2 bedroom suite. Everything was perfect. The apartment was sparkling clean with a gorgeous view. The pools are amazing! The property is walking distance from everything on 5th street. There was a lot of seaweed in the ocean so we mostly used the pool and rented a car to visit the ruins. The hotel assisted us with renting the vehicle which was reasonable and delivered to the property in an hour. Highly recommend this hotel! Thank you

Beautiful new building. Working walking distance to beaches, restaurants and shopping. Roof-top great. Wifi was a bit patchy, oh well.

We absolutely loved this stay. The location was right next to the beach access, walking distance to the restaurants and nightlife of 5th Ave, very safe, clean, and accessible.

It was very modern, the hotel staff responded to our requests promptly. The concierge was very helpful and informative. The rooftop pool was spectacular. The hotel is two blocks away from the beach and beach clubs. Steps away from everything. I highly recommend this property and plan on coming back.

Great spot. 5 min walk from the beach. Great service at the rooftop bar and kitchen. About 20 bucks USD for breakfast and lunch for 2 people. Food wasn’t incredible but it’s an option. Wifi didn’t work for the most part. So that can be frustrating.

The property was very modern and clean. The rooftop was amazing! All drinks 70 pesos. Not clear about food as there was no menu. Beach only 1 block away. Very close to 38th street and 5th avenue shops/restaurants. Make sure to get a room with a balcony. Our door did not have any inside safety locks. Need a kitchen towel or dish rack. Easy to get a taxi out front.

Nous avons adoré cet hôtel ! À 2min à pied de la plage et des beach clubs, à 5min des premiers restaurants et du début de la 5eme avenue. Emplacement parfait et pour autant on est absolument pas dérangés par les bruits nous étions au calme ! La piscine en rooftop est juste superbe avec une vue sur la mer, magnifique Le petit déjeuner est abordable et très bon, comme les lunch bien servis pour le prix (cocktails pas trop chers non plus) La chambre était grande et propre on a eu la chance de voir la mer depuis le balcon Le personnel était très gentil ! Petit bémol avant notre séjour je voulais les joindre pour quelques questions pratiques mais je n’ai jamais eu de réponses de leur part… mis à part cela c’était parfait :)
