Morton Hotel

Very good , hotel with very nice Bar , you can get your guests there and have a meetings at the Bar !

Hotel was lovely. We arrived early, and two rooms were already available and staff were happy to store bags. Loved the room styling. Both room and bath room were very spacious. Bar is very nice to come back to. Area is great, with station down the street and nice options for food and drinks. Thank you to staff, who couldn’t be more friendly and welcoming.

The staff are wonderful. The "library" downstairs, with ample space for reading and having a glass of wine, is cozy and inviting.

Very nice hotel, surprisingly quiet given its busy location. Room was small but comfortable. They kindly allowed me early check-in, much appreciated given my morning flight arrival in London. Location is terrific, Russell Square tube station is just around the corner (as is Russell Square!). My only gripe was the slightly mystifying process of getting access to the hotel from the street when you first arrive. Nothing complicated, but door is locked and there are no instructions for entry. Push the button on the right and hope someone is available to ring you in! Once you are checked in your room card gives entry.

The location was excellent. We could walk to the theatre, and the area around Russell Square was safe and charming. The staff were friendly and helpful. They had a full bar available in the evening open til 2 and it was cheaper thank a pub. Rooms were beautiful and spacious. I will definitely stay here again.

This is a very nice hotel, great location! Short walk to the underground and numerous bus stops. The British Museum is a short walk. There is a really nice park across the street with a small cafe. So close to everything, a number of pubs (Friend at Hand, The Swan) both good. It is also within a 10 minute walk to a grocery store for those staying a little bit longer then a just week like we did. Even the train stations are a 15-20 minute walk. (St. Pancras, King’s Cross) The room is comfortable , large enough and so is the bathroom. Only downside was the air conditioning was not very cool for the warmer days and nights. The hotel has a great little bar sitting area for drinks. (Could have a few apps to oder or something) But the hotel’s staff were very friendly and helpful! Especially Aytul, she was very helpful and made lots of great suggestions on what to do and see. We would definitely recommend this hotel!

The hotel was great the only reason we have marked it down is that the elevator wasn’t working when we were there and we wanted a room with a view so it was quite a few steps to get up and down.

Very handy for railway stations and underground. Room was nice and fairly spacious. Reception in the basement was a little unusual but not an issue. No negatives over the 4 nights we stayed

Great location. Be advised if you need the elevator the maids literally occupy it for a minimum of 20-40 minutes daily. They do not post when they are using it. We waited almost 20 minutes for the only elevator - I twisted my ankle and couldn’t handle the steps. Then finally when the elevator got to us there were three maids and loads of bags in the elevator. They then giggled like oops and pushed the button to continue on without us. Not impressed with staff. But did love the location

The restaurant food was terrible with minimal selections and no lunch options. Dinner was only leftover entrees with no soup salad or anything to go with it. They also do not take cash. The entrance to the hotel is confusing to get to registration in the basement.

Shards of glass on floor in bathroom on arrival which i moved to side. Told manager. Glass still on floor three days later. Metal washer also on floor in corner of bathroom, never cleaned up. Broken bulb outside our door (flashing strobelike), still there 3 days later. When checking in, asked clerk for a lunch reco. She said we would have to wait for manager to recommend. When she did arrive, she said there was a restaurant in the park, she didn’t know the name of but we should eat there and she had no other recommendations. Safe not working on checkin. I told the night clerk and he said he would change the batteries, which he did which was a pleasant surprise Overall manager just did not seem engaged in the hospitality business. Excellent quality towels and linens

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful 5 day stay here! Our room was spotless, spacious, and gorgeously furnished. Special shout-out to the extra large bathtub. We will definitely be back.

Excellent location adjacent to Russell Square. Our room had all the amenities although a little small. Housekeeping left the room immaculate each day. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again in the future.

A little far from central areas. Metro not easy from this location to city center. Large comfortable suite with sitting area and little kitchenette.

We had a great room with a large bathroom, so there was plenty of room for everyone. The staff was also very friendly and helped us with a bunch of minor questions and requests.

We have stayed in the Russell Square area several times, but this was the first time at the Morton. We stayed in one of the larger units with separate bedroom and living room, with a small kitchenette. It was an excellent value: roomy, quiet, and clean. Some of the furniture was a little dated, but that didn't matter. The only problem we had was the absence of light in the kitchenette, which made our rare attempts to use the area rather difficult, requiring use of our phones' flashlights to read appliance labels. The hotel is right up the street from the tube station, making arrival from and departure to Heathrow very easy, and allowing connections to other parts of the city for those who prefer not to walk. All in all, we were very happy with this choice.

We had an amazing stay here. The rooms were just perfect with every detail considered. It was lovely to have a lounge and kitchen area in addition to the bedroom, especially at such a great price. The rooms overlooked Russel Square gardens, so location was perfect also.

Very nice staff, prompt help if needed. The bed was extremely comfortable. I was impressed with the large bathroom and giant bathtub! My room wasn’t on the street side, it was very quiet.

Wonderful location. Very close to a Tube stop. Beautiful property. We chose the 1 bedroom apartment for our 2 week stay. It was perfect

Ms.Mimi at the reception was great, always kind and so helpful to us. Other staff are off course great, too. The hotel location is very convenient. Close to the Rester Square station, walking distance to Euston, Kings Cross, even Covent Garden, so our trip to Liverpool was very easy. The tour bus to Harry Potter stopoed close by. Supermarkets are also close. We definitely stay here again when come back to London.

A lovely hotel with professional and lovely staff. They offer luggage drop off early but our room was ready so they offered to check us in; it is not often a I have known a hotel that does that. Highly recommend and will stay again

Staff was not the most helpful

We loved everything about this hotel. The location was excellent. The staff and in particular Mimi were wonderful. Made you feel at home. Super helpful and accommodating. Felt at home our entire stay.

Upon arriving, I notified Morton Hotel that my flight was changed and got in early. I was reminded of the 2pm check in time, which I was aware of. I arrived at like 9am. The receptionist was very helpful and informed me he would try to get me in the first available room. He even gave me a map and showed me places to visit while in London. I left to go explore and came back around 12. There was a different receptionist at the front desk when I returned. I asked about the room update and she said its not available yet. However, I noticed a stack a files on the desk with hotel keys paper clipped to them. I noticed the top file had my name on it. Instead of inquiring, I waited patiently in the lobby. At 1:35pm (13:35), I joked with my partner and stated, “I will make sure to notify my social media followers to not show up early to this hotel.” The new receptionist must have heard me because immediately following my statement, she called me up to hand me the keys that were attached to that file I noticed earlier. I was confused, but I didn’t make it a big issue because I was tired/jet lagged from traveling from Atlanta and I wanted to get to my room to nap. Needless to say, if you are arriving early to London, DO NOT BOOK THE MORTON HOTEL! You will not get a room, unless this only happened to me being a black American man. Now the hotel is a nice boutique hotel, but needs improvement on service. The cleaning folks take forever to clean your room as well.

A beautiful hotel at Russell Square. Our 5 night stay was excellent. Staff Redouine and Kenny were exceptional, welcoming, friendly and helpful. We had a large, bright suite with a very comfortable bed and lovely bathroom. We were able to have laundry done during our stay. I highly recommend this hotel as a base in London. Easy access to the Tube and bus stops within feet of the front door.

Really good hotel. Great location only a 15 minute walk into central London or Kings cross. Across the road from Russell Square tube station. Lift in hotel. Bed was so so comfy. Room was clean. Bathroom had a lovely big walk in shower. Staff were friendly and helpful. Lots to do locally, great pubs and places to eat close by. Would stay again.

We've stayed here before and the Morton is a solid choice. Friendly and helpful staff, great location with lots of transportation options and close to many local attractions.

We had a fantastic overnight stay at the Morton Hotel. It's in a great location to access the underground, theatres, Covent Garden, British Museum and more. We loved our apartment and the whole accomodation felt like an oasis of calm after the busyness of a day out in London.

The location is perfect. Quiet but near british museum. Lovely staff

We feel we picked the perfect location to explore London. Hop On Hop Off bus stop was right across the street. The Tube stop was very close. We were able to walk to so many places, including the very popular Covent Garden. Staff was kind and helpful. Would definitely stay there again.

Great location, high ceilings

Location location location! The Morton Hotel is across from a beautiful park (Russell Square). It is a 15 minute walk to the West End. The area is nice and quiet, surrounded by coffee shops and nice restaurants. The room itself was wonderful. Comfortable bed, large bathroom. The staff were also very friendly. We would stay here again! Thank you to the Morton team for a pleasant visit.

Our room is facing the road so the traffic is a bit noisy. But the room is nice and spacious. Clean and cozy. The hotel is close to Russell Square tube station and bus station (Bus No.14 is 24-hr and the terminal is just few steps away from the hotel) so it’s convenient for us to go anywhere.

It was actually unfortunate that they have no cash on the property. Before checking out I needed to change £50 note so I could tip the housekeeper but they couldn’t help me and I had no time to go elsewhere

This 1930s themed hotel is a great location. Can walk to Russell Park (2 min), British Museum (10 min), Piccadilly Circus area (15-20 min), Big Ben & Parliament & Hyde Park (25 min). Staff was very helpful. Great breakfast at a good price - their porridge was some of the best I've had. Arranged efficient airport transfer for us. Would recommend they highly.

Quaint hotel in the Bloomsbury part of town. Staff is accommodating and pleasant. The room very clean. Great bathroom, by the way. They offer a lite breakfast. Everything was delicious.

Great boutique hotel in a fantastic location. Walking distance to major tube stations, soho, Covent garden, Oxford street, etc. there was an issue with my air conditioning and they put me in a different room immediately. Kind staff. Breakfast menu is limited but good!
