Terrible experience, rooms dirty, no wifi, seems like a dump of a hotel, probably stolen pictures because the property doesn’t look at all like the photos here, I was reading other reviews and they all say this place is bad as it can be. Lost money, had to book at another place, they don’t refund because when you book online they “check you in” right away before you arrive so can’t do anything about it. Called Expedia but they where of no help to get a refund, don’t book, pay another 10 bucks and stay somewhere better, even at a bus stop street under a bridge might be better

Was check-in super easy? There's plenty of parking, but it's not a family-friendly place. The hotel is busy all day. The room was very useful for what I needed, but I wouldn't recommend it for relaxing. It's exactly what you pay for.

Room and bathroom smelled of urine. No WiFi, had an antenna on the TV and I couldn't pick up any channels. Towels were old, thin and didn't absorb much moisture. Would not recommend OYO on Hwy 6 North in Houston.

I was unable to stay at the property because there was no power in the Houston area. I was not notified ahead of time that there was no power. The front door only had two pieces of paper: one said, "No Power" and the other said "No Rooms". There was no one at the front desk to speak to.

Property only accepted cash deposit, and didn’t have access to atm at time of check in. Room smelled of smoke, only the bathroom light worked, floor had chunks missing, toilet seat was broken, no fridge, no microwave, no remote control for television, and loud music playing at 1:30 in the morning in nearby rooms. Looked like the place you would find Walter White selling his stuff and not a comfortable night sleep.

So many roaches. Everywhere. I killed at least 12. The floor was broken everywhere. We waited almost 30 minutes in a 15x5 lobby with no AC and 4 other people waiting to check in. Smelt terrible. Security was extremely unfriendly and annoyed. There was a TV but no remote. The receiver did not work. Dirty sheets. No security latch for the door we had to use a chair.

Bed bugs! You can see light at the bottom of the door which bugs were free to enter the room. Worse was the smell. I suppose to have a smoke free room but you could smell smoke.

Everything was terrible. I wouldn't this place to anyone, not even a dog. Roaches, bed bugs was everywhere. The filth was ridiculous. The room wouldn't lock.

I would stay as far away from this place as possible. Asked for a non smoking room and it reeked of weed. Had a roach infestation, seemen stains on the sheets, and the smoke detector had been removed. Only lasted 10 min in the room and they still refused to give a refund.

I have travelled to over 40 countries over the past 30 years and have never stayed at a hotel as bad as the OYO on Katy Freeway. The room was damaged, no amenities, the television and refrigerator did not work. The toilet and shower were not cleaned. The property stunk of marijuana and the hotel is definitely a place where illicit activities are tolerated.

There were roaches bugs nats the floor was broken tile and wood. I had to come in cleaning and when i asked the staff about the flying bugs inside the room i was given a can of raid. The over night guy was polite but this room was horrible.

Horrible. Hundreds of bugs. Roaches everywhere. Broken glass everywhere. Holes sloppily patched up in walls. Mysterious stains on floors walls and furniture. Do not stay here. The photos are misleading and not the rooms that are available on this property. Staff were not at front desk when I needed to check in and caused a great inconvenience waiting.

Right when we pulled up there were multiple men just loitering. Some were beyond drunk. It felt very unsafe. The rooms had multiple roaches, beds were damp and had stains. Safely lock for door was broken and just laying on the floor. Outside and rooms very unkept. Felt unsafe staying there with my children. Definitely worst hotel experience I've ever had.

You get what you pay for, not many amenities and some rooms have fridge and microwave some don’t. Most rooms have wholes in the wall. It’s definitely a place to lay your head for cheap.

Both rooms i was given had no locks! Asked for a fridge and they said they couldn't take one from one room to the other. I can take it or leave it. Unsafe area. Only hoodlums all over. Locks on door were missing and doors wouldn't close! Worst hotel in Houston.

Our visit was horrible. The staff on duty was very rude and unprofessional. The first room he gave us. Our car did not work. I went back to the desk to explain our car didn’t work. He assigned us another room when we walked in the room. The lights didn’t work, the lights work in the bathroom and the air conditioner was broke. I went back to explain to the person on duty that was unacceptable and he explained to me that he would not be swapping out again I said expect us to spend the night in operable room do you not do maintenance on these rooms , he accused me of having an attitude and swapped out the room The TV did not work. We took a nap so that we could get back on the road and opted not to spend the night and these despicable circumstances. NEVER AGAIN ‼️A lot of people hanging out in the parking lot smoking weed.. did not feel safe at all

The room had roaches the light in the restroom doesn’t go off the lights over one of the beds barely worked the shower nozzle sprayed water everywhere hole in the wall inside restroom had coloring on the lamp and walls sheets had stains from sharpie and I don’t know what else just an horrible experience you had other occupants up at 5 in the morning playing loud music kids screaming people fighting I really just wanted my money back don’t book here

Mandatory $50 "cash-only" deposit at check in, bad condition of rooms, lack of cleanliness, staff absent from front desk during check in for 10-15 min, twice saw security patrols during my couple of days stay, must be a troublesome place. I have stayed in relatively inexpensive hotels/motels and had better experience. Wish I had selected a different similarly priced hotel.

They required a $50 deposit. I understand that. Most hotels do. However, this hotel foces you to pay the deposit in cash. Even worse is that they have an ATM, but they won't let you use it if it's late at night. This foeced is into a scary situation having to drive around in the middle of the night in a city we don't know. This is clearly against the terms of the reservation, but they didn't care.

The worst experience ever they asked for cash deposit once you’re there. There’s nothing in the website or anything that says it needs to give a cash deposit. Don’t be fool. They will not give it back to you. It is dirty. It’s a language barrier and they are scums.

Never got to stay here, and still got charged. They asked for 50 cash deposit. I offered my card and they declined. I contacted expedia and they told me even though i pur hased the protection plan i wasnt protected. So i had to purchase another room. Very mad about this experience from the motel and expedia not protecting me and my room. Again never even got to check un but was charged when they asked for a cash deposit. Seemed very shady and i read the reviews they ve done this to multiple people taking their money amd they were never reimbursed. Im looking into other travel apps because of this.

Property condition is too way different to the advertise photos, area feels totally unsafe, staff not friendly at all. Room smells all around to cigarette, and outside of room smells to weed and cigarette. Not family friendly at all

DO NOT STAY HERE!! The photos are very misleading, after we stopped and saw the hotel (it is in a very sketchy part of Houston) we refused to stay here, I contacted Expedia to try and get a refund due to the misleading pictures, and they tried to reach the property only to have no one answer. After 5 days I was notified that they refused to refund me even though I felt unsafe staying there so I’m out $500. I always check reviews and somehow didn’t see the horrible reviews on the page until AFTER I made it to Houston. This place seriously needs shut down, they try to trick others into staying with good prices and convincing pictures only to refuse your refund when you see how it really is.

Worst hotel i ever stayed in. Pictures are not what it looks like. Drug dealers and prostitutes throughout property. Bugs in bed. If i wasn't just staying for one night I would have left. Try this place if you dare

Sounds like a good deal but you realize that you are in a hostel where homeless people rent. They’re noisy, awake all night and who knows if they even washed the bed covers. Only nice if you’re too tired to drive back home

Stay away if you want to be safe ! It was dirty and people glaring at you as soon as you enter!!! I ran away for dear life and luckily found a room in another hotel close by .
