Hotel cutrently umder construction but did not hear any noise while staying there. Quiet, decent sized rooms. Located in a good part of town, a little off the very busy street but still within walking distance to most things. Nice added service of luggage starge for guests.

The location of the hotel is awesome! The hotel itself is quite simple, with two elevators only (making it hell during morning hours when all the staff are using it for room cleaning). The hotel also had construction inside and outside all the time so would ezpecr a discount or something...

Place was very well located, walkable distance from all sightseeing locations. There is no parking at the hotel but there is public parking 5 minutes walking distance with plenty of space. Staff was very friendly and helpful , quick check in. Room was spacious and with air conditioner.

Wonderful!!! Excellent location, very friendly staff. We did not eat at hotel however did have drinks in the lounge. Very nice selection of gin, great view of the castle and nice seating. Will definitely stay here again.

Excellent property, staff was great. We had a room with a window opening onto the busy street, but the modern windows when closed, blocked the noise. A 5 minute walk to the train station, and 10 minutes max to the Royal Mile. No telephones in the rooms, the only drawback.

Bathroon was a bit dirty, dust on the floor which looked like it had been there a while. View was poor as it looked over to a youth hostel and pub, so noise was loud, even though i was with a child.

The room was clean but in poor condition. My shower head sprayed at the based of what should have been a rain shower handle Leaving me sprayed in the face and unable to direct water. One light did not work at all and the heat would not come on at all. The bed was hard as a rock and the windows were thin so road noise talk and laughter were heard clearly until 2-230 am. The breakfast was lovely and they do store bags However I would never stay here again

This was an average stay at an average hotel for an above average price. The good is that it was convenient to two tram stops and across the street from the train station. Short walk to the Royal Mile. The bad is that the room had no outlets next to the bed nor did it have anything next to the bed on which to lay your items such as phone, etc. also note the room has room darkening curtains and not blackout curtains making it quite light at night. My first room was located where the window looked down on a pub entrance across the narrow street. Even with the window closed there was constant noise from all the smokers gathered outside. I switched rooms for the next two nights (of course they put me next to the elevator) but it was quite possibly the warmest room I’ve ever been in even though the outside temp was in the 40s. Also had issue with the key card not working. This is a decent hotel if you plan on being out exploring all day. However, if you want a comfortable room that you will be spending some time in then you may want somewhere different.

Loved the location, right across from the Waverly Train station and lots of pubs and restaurants writing walking distance. The hotel was amazing, with a bar and coffee available, pretty much all day, which was amazing when you come in cold. Lol The morning breakfast was great, the staff is so lovely, they are the best!!! I should warn, it is a small basic room and the area outside can be noisy, there are a lot of pubs down the alley and a nightclub. If you are on that side of the hotel, you will hear the traffic AND all the bottles being collected LOL that is very loud!! But, of you don't mind that, you are golden!

It was basic room. The location of the hotel is excellent. It’s across Princes St from the train station. The room had a Queen-sized bed with a firm mattress. The room along with bathroom were clean. There was no refrigerator and no closet or drawers for clothing. There was a make-shift “closet” on the wall. This was one of the more reasonably priced hotels in Edinburgh and you get what you pay for.

Excellent location, nice staff. Allowed early check in at 1 pm, then held luggage at desk on day of departure. Room was small & stuffy, AC and small fan did not cool. Window tilted open only a few inches and looked out to other rooms requiring curtain to be drawn No ventilation fan in bathroom. Construction going on. For $250/night hoped for more.

Rooms were clean. Staff were fairly friendly. But fair warning, the beds are hard as a board. We slept terribly because of that and that’s so sad being on vacation. Also, the air conditioner was not cool at all and we had it turned down all the way down. Being warm didn’t help with sleep either.

We stayed at Motel One Edinburgh and unfortunately had an unpleasant experience with theft. Two pairs of shoes were stolen from our room, and although we reported it immediately, we received no support or compensation from the hotel. The front desk staff were very friendly and accommodating. The issue was with management, who promised follow-up but never reached out or offered any solution. We understand that theft can happen, but we expected better follow-up from management to look after their guests in such situations. Overall, we definitely do not recommend this hotel.

The location is perfect if you’re interested in being near the train station or lots of shops. The breakfast was outstanding and the bar is a comfortable place to wind down at the end of the day. The address is Princes Street but the entrance doesn’t actually face Princes Street. A special recognition to Haley at the front desk who was very welcoming and helpful.

Great place to stay In Edinburgh. Close to the theater, new shopping center, and North Bridge to Royal Mile. Easy access to public transportation. We have stayed in multiple places in Edinburgh and this was by far the most convenient and reasonably priced option we have found.

The location was fabulous - only a few steps away from Edinburgh Waverley train station. Very convenient. The room was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was ready when we arrived a couple of hours early which was great and they were able to hold our suitcases for a couple of hours after we checked out - again very convenient. I would definitely stay there again.

Every thing was great but not being able to connect to the Wi-Fi from the room was really annoying and also, 15,50£ for a “continental” breakfast without any typical Scottish food was disappointing…. Room wise it was very spacious, clean and comfortable.

Very chic hotel. Very central. Staff was super helpful and always nice . Small but cosy rooms. Flawless clean but could have been more cosy with som pictures on the wall. Little disappointed on the tv channels.breakfast was good but expected more choice for the price. Overall a very modern and central hotel. The location is very convienent for the Royal mile and Edinburgh Waverly. Breakfast was good (continental with more options) but slightly pricey since we added it on. We were lucky that we were able to get right into our room at 9 am (which we didn’t expect but they had one open), It is clean and pretty with a comfortable bed. I would stay again.

Very cool décor and great breakfast space. Super conveniently located to both Old Town and New Town. Close to public transit – especially airport tram and bus connections. Close walk to all of the main sights. Rooms were small but quiet with surprisingly thick doors. Breakfast spread was really nice – lots of options. Very clean and like new conditions. Good value for the cost.
