We enjoyed our stay & the amenities; however, we were looking forward to the rooftop patio and there was not one available. The staff was extremely helpful and courteous and there was plenty of food & shopping options within a walking distance. The subway is a few steps away and very convenient to use as well. We would stay here again!

Amazing hotel and in very close to time square and Central Park. The only thing I didn’t like is there has to be lifeguard at the pool to watch you swim. Other then that great hotel and would definitely recommend it.

Everything was lovely, our room was upgraded at with no extra fee because we could not get on the same floor as our grandchildren, but it worked out. The pool water was a bit chilly for the adults, but the kids were fine with it.

My son and me we had perfect shopping days in NYC. The Marmara was therefore the best hotel! Excellent service, big beautiful apartment…. Wonderful breakfast…. And a wonderful pool and spa! 💯 it was the best trip we have had to nyc! Thanks to all the employees there!

Larger than average room for NYC. Close to parking and walkable to Times Square. Very clean. Pool was less than attractive though. Small and no natural light. Essentially meant for workout only if that is what you are looking for.

Room needed an upgrade. Not the same room as you pictured. Drab and obvious wear and tear on cabinets, nightstands and desks. Bathroom too small with poor lighting, and some obvious mold on the shower grout. Ugh. Disappointing overall. Only positive was the parking garage was literally next door. Also, they have a doorman, but many times he was on his phone while i opened the door myself. Ridiculous. I would not stay here again!!!!!

Waited over 2 hours to check in. Yes, I realize check-in is 3 pm but I’ve never arrived to a hotel early and waited more than 30 mins for my room to be ready. They held fast to the 3 pm time and we had to wait in line at 3 pm, behind others who just walked in, to get checked in for our room after sitting for 2 hours in the lobby. Room was large for NYC, shower leaked all of the bathroom floor. Pool was a nice amenity but the elevators were gross - dingy and dirty with peeling wallpaper. For the price, it met expectations. Don’t think I’d ever stay here again though. I’d rather pay a bit more for a better experience.

Didn’t care for seeing the trash every night right next to the property (maybe something about NYC can’t have dumpsters?!), and there was a mysterious large wet stain on the master bedroom floor that wouldn’t dry or go away for the duration of our stay. Housekeeping was good, when they came; had to ask one day on the weekend. Other than that, staff was awesome, room was nice and spacious, and already booked it again for our next trip to NYC!

We really enjoyed this hotel. Modern lobby. Rooms well appointed. The bed was very comfortable. Loved our breakfasts and the servers were great! The bed was so bed I couldn’t sleep well. Me and my wife had to sleep on the back of the bad. And I heard a man checking out in the morning saying the some thing. Also the shower was very bed too.

We enjoyed our stay at this property. The rooms were a good size for NYC standards. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The biggest downfall for me was the lighting in the room and the bathroom was terrible. The lamps didn’t work and the back lit mirror in the bathroom was out in one side. Applying makeup was nearly impossible and even my husband commented on the difficulty trying to shave. Maybe that was just our room but none the less it was annoying

The standing charger for the iPad they provide you with didn’t work in our room at all. Also Netflix & screen sharing both didn’t work on the TV. Also there were no drawers in the nightstands which I thought was odd - like they were taken out for some reason. The kitchen however was a great feature in this room with several nice appliances.

I love staying in Ktown because it is so convenient to everything, not the least of which is the train station - a quick 15 minute walk. It is bustling and alive, close to Times Square as well. The downside is that it is rather noisy. If you're looking for a luxe experience, this neighborhood is probably not a good choice. The hotel is very uncluttered and pretty. It is however starting to show some wear, particularly in the elevators and the furnishings in the rooms. That's the downside. The upside is that the staff was great and very helpful. We got upgraded to a jr. suite which was surprisingly handy. It had a small balcony and a mini kitchenette which came in very handy. The bed was so comfortable that I unmade it so that I could see who the mfg. was so that I could buy one. Towels could use replacement but bed linens were very nice. All in all a good stay and we would tay again.

Waste of money. Room was old and kind of falling apart. AC did not work. The sink was backed up and wouldn’t drain for several minutes. Poorly designed - not a single socket near bed. If you can get a good deal, it’s a nice location and decent hotel but far from luxurious.

I arrived at the hotel to find out that the room I booked had an issue and they were oversold. Rolande, who was working the desk asked if someone called to inform me. That was a silly question because had someone called me, I wouldn’t have been there. I subsequently waited an hour and they were not able to accommodate me. I told her I expect to be reimbursed for the hotel and compensated for my rides to and from the hotel in addition to at least a $100 credit for the inconvenience.

Stayed in this hotel before and was happy. But in this visit, there was a definite decline in the quality of service. Slippers were not provided. The kettle was not working and I had to call for a resolution. Soap was not provided at the bathroom sink. Simple expectations that were not met. Wrote to the Manager but did not get a response. Overall impression was that there was no care put into making a guest feel welcomed.

My room had no heat the entire stay. Stayed over Christmas with record freezing temps. Maintenance tried to fix it twice & brought a portable heater instead which didn’t help and could have posed dangers. I asked to speak to the manager multiple times, left my # and never heard back. I asked for compensations for wasting thousands. Manager didn’t charge me for some nonsense resort like fee. Terrible experience. Terrible management. Will never return or recommend. I don’t want to hear a nonsense apology from management on here either.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Marmara Park Avenue! It is ideally situated in midtown east, with a 6 train stop on the corner, and within walk of the theater district. the staff is friendly and helpful, and the lobby is a great spot for meeting people or getting work done. Our room was spacious with 2 desks and a marble tiled bathrooms. The ceilings were also quite high, a rarity for hotels. There isn't a microwave in the room, however, so there is no way to heat up the delicious leftovers that you can pile up in the genously sized fridge.

The location was as convenient as could be (at least for us): a fifteen minute walk from Penn Station, passing the Empire State Building on the way. The 33rd street entrance for the 6 line is 100 feet from the entrance of the hotel. Indoor pool was as advertised, looking just like it does in the pictures. Surprisingly, we weren’t stuck waiting for an elevator at all (only 2 elevators in the 20-story building). Sadly, we didn’t make it to the rooftop bar, but we heard good things. There’s good places to eat very close to the building, too (I.e. Murray Hill Diner, Chelsea Bagel & Cafe, Van Leeuwen Ice Cream). This isn’t something exclusive to this hotel, but we weren’t fans of the “destination fee” of $55 extra per night. Weren’t expecting that at check-in, so it wasn’t factored in to our budget at all. That was unfortunate. If we dare return to New York City, we would stay here again.

The room was spectacular. The food was mediocre, not recommended to eat there, eat somewhere else. And pass on the spa treatments. My husband received a massage and his professional (a man) had long nails and scratched him - very bad experience.

We waited 30 minutes to check in as the one staff member struggles with the group in front. Apparently no one else could help. The shower filled the bathroom floor with water. One light did not work, but the 3 calls to ask someone to fix it went unanswered. No food or drinks after 12. Around the pool is dirty and pool over chlorinated. The staff were surly and unhelpful - except the gents at the lobby bar who were lovely. The whole thing was disappointing.

Very small hotel appartment style. The Reception and Pool doesn’t like picture. It was very cold water. It’s not for family with kids. dining and doorbell service are very very limited. one or two workers in bar and dining service. She was late for 1 hour. We have to wait for her. Breakfast is very late and very very very slow for 4 mornings. When we left, they were two doorbells men but no man helps to open door or luggages in morning. I have a terrible view of every roofs and windows of all buildings in backyard. My room next to trash maintenance / Electricity’s room. The building is located next to an old homeless building. zero parking and no valet. Hotel is near to empire State and korean town and one the room studio with kitchen was clear and comfortable and a lady in reception was very nice and helpful.
