Good hotel! As my kids observed as they walked in to the room, it’s pretty! The front desk attendants were super kind and friendly! Only complaint I had was the pool was really cold and the hot tub was too hot so my 4 kids, who were really looking forward to swimming, struggled.

Liked the pretty clean room & linens. Some stains and hidden dust patches, toilet inside could have been improved, but mostly clean. Tub was very clean. Had to figure out the fridge myself. No coffee pot although advertised. Indoor pool was freezing cold. Jets on hot tub didnt work. Very thin walls. Heard EVERYTHING above us. And even across the hall and side room. But mostly running above.

The hotel is in an excellent location for accessing Pocatello downtown as well as the surrounding area. It has a great view of the valley. The pool and hot tub were both well maintained and so was the fitness center. All were available 24h as well. They have a guest laundry. Breakfast was fine. They served the same thing both days; yogurt, scrambled eggs, potato cubes, sausage links and a small assortment of carbs (cereal, bread, pastries). They had a banana the first day and an apple the second day. The service was prompt and friendly. They also had free cookies at the front desk so that was a nice touch :). I’d recommend it if you’re looking for a convenient and clean place to stay.

We stayed overnight on Saturday, October 5th for a quick weekend getaway. We were offered a room upgrade at no extra charge, which was very nice. The room was very clean and roomy. The only thing that could have been better was the pull out couch mattress. The mattress was very thin, so the springs were not cushioned at all making it uncomfortable. It worked out fine though. Also, the pool was not heated, so it was very cold to swim in. That didn’t stop the kids from having fun still. We would definitely stay here again in the future.

Cannot beat the view!!! Staff was amazing! Very clean. They had TVs with a gaming system that the kids really enjoyed (my kids called Super Mario “a fun vintage game” - we felt old!) Plenty of conveniences at the bottom of the hill. Kids enjoyed the pool, but the spa wasn’t working.

The staff was very friendly and welcoming. My room was ok except the carpet hadn't been vacuumed and the door for adjoining rooms was unlocked ( I did lock it when I arrived). The pipes for the shower squealed, the alarm clock in the room next door started going off about 5:30am and didn't stop for almost 3 hours. I could hear the man in the next room snoring loudly. I would have preferred a room that wasn't meant for to adjoin as I was traveling alone and it made me feel slightly uncomfortable. The hotel itself is clean and easy to find all amenities. I didn't report any of my issues to the staff as I was staying only one night and didn't feel it necessary to change rooms for one night. I would suggest that the maid service check the alarm clocks when cleaning the rooms to make sure they are turned off when guests leave. I would stay again but would probably request a room without the adjoining door.

Staff were friendly. Photos on Expedia are wrong I was expecting a suite with bunk beds, our room had 2 double beds and sofa bed. Our room was clean but the bathtub had black mold and I found some hair in the tub. The area had very limited options for food. I had to drive 20 minutes to get fast food options and shopping.

Staff was nice. Our room looked clean but there was a giant bloody bandaid in the shower that we saw as soon as we walked in the room. So gross and clearly shows the shower wasn’t cleaned after the last people were in there. Then the indoor ‘heated’ pool was frigidly cold. My kids were super bummed. So we tried the hot tub. The jets didn’t work either, but it wouldn’t have mattered anyway because it was so scalding hot you couldn’t even sit in it for more than a minute or two max. Pretty disappointing. We book hotels when we travel just for the pool to add some fun after a long days drive. This was a total fail.

My room was right by the 24 hr pool. Could hear people coming and going a lot. There was also a high pitched screeching coming from the toilet, or the wall behind the toilet and it continued all night. Would go away for a bit if the toilet was flushed. Made for a REALLY long sleepless night. The bed was also very uncomfortable. The staff were nice. But i will not be staying at this location again.

We loved this hotel. The view from our balcony room was incredible. The bed and pillows were so comfortable. All of the staff was friendly and helpful. There are a couple nice restaurants within walking distance but we didn’t have time to try them. I definitely recommend this hotel.

I’m surprised by the high star rating this location has. Our room had a finicky and noisy toilet (kept running. Then would empty and we had to lift lid to help it refill). They do not have a coffee machine that lets you heat your own water in the room (only meh standard hot water available downstairs. I travel with RO water). Views from dining area were gorgeous but the padded chairs have ominous stains. So I chose to stand.)

Booked this hotel for the balcony, and no chairs on balcony… Walls are paper thin, could hear man peeing. Whoever stayed next door was opening and slamming door shut from the moment we arrived until the day we left.

Booked and stayed in the kids suite, kids room was cute. Rooms could be a little more sound proof— I would have loved to not have my kids asking what the noise coming from next door was and having to explain they were being adults and making babies. Bathroom set up is atrocious. None of my children could reach the toilet paper from the toilet. Air conditioner / heater is outdated—if you needed to use it you then had to listen to a motor run loud enough you couldn’t talk to anyone. Pool — someone needs to look at the chlorine ratio to water. So strong your eyes burned, it was hard to see and our family immediately had skin reactions when getting in / out of the pool. Worst problem — plumbing — it screamed all night, I had to continuously get up and flush the toilet and run water in the sink for it to give a 5 minute respite.

After severeal very successful stays in the past couple of years, my sister and I will not stay in the Pocatello Holiday Inn again without checking to make sure it won’t be the home to hoards of essentially supervised high school kids. We didn’t get to sleep much before 1 any of the 3 nights we were there: kids in the halls (sitting and talking), kids in adjoining room which we heard referred to by other kids as the “party room” (even my trusty earplugs didn’t help). Despite calls to the front desk each night—where we were advised that “there were a lot if high school students in the hotel” the noise persisted. Perhaps management could put the children on the first 2 floors and save the upstairs for adults? Maybe establish quiet hours after 11. We were getting up at 530 am each day—exhausted. Definitely not the experience we had planned in.

The property is a little off the beaten path, not within walking distance of restaurants. The staff were pleasant and efficient. Booked a king size bed, but got two queen beds. Simply too tired to care. Overall, a clean well run property.

Booked a Accesibe two queen bed room for my 85 year old. Mother-in-law with a walker—-so we Would have a walk-in shower —- they said they had none —I paid extra for it and when I got there, they said they did not know anything about it. They said it was a Expedia issue and that this happens all the time Of course we were not happy

we had a stuffed animal that went walkabout on our check out. staff stepped up and found the beast. The woman that mans the breakfast buffet needs a raise. she was everywhere all at once. She also was available the day before when we needed some guidance.

We first stayed here for an official visit at ISU. Came back for a spring game and it was nice. I wish people would respect signs and not allow doors to slam. Had asked for no feathered items, yet we still had them. Food service was a bit slow. They were out of several things, which was a bit frustrating. I get that it was a Sunday morning, and… We will be back, I’m sure.
