Room was clean. Staff was helpful. Nice Japanese Restaurant and Bar in hotel. Property in general was an older building. Price was a little high for the size of the rooms and general experience. Overall it was good. Plus it was in a good location near Columbus Circle and Central Park.

This is my second time staying here and I love it! I will never go wrong staying at 6 Columbus Hotel, when in season there is a roof top bar served by Blue Ribbon Sushi (very good), a very cute hotel, across the street from The Shoppes at Columbus Circle (Wholefoods in the basement) the best bagels next door to hotel called Nosh Bagels and a very good bar with an excellent menu called All&Sundry —-all next door to this hotel! Central Park at the corner and lots of transportation options! Consider staying with them I will be back in the Spring for race season. Excellent staff! Don’t forget to leave a tip for your cleaning lady and the bellhop person who stores your baggage, this is a job for them and they are very helpful with city information. Take care of them and they will take care of you.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The bedroom and bathroom were clean and nicely furnished. For a Manhattan hotel both were nice sizes. The bar upstairs and the lobby were a little worn but still fine. They could use better lighting in the lobby elevator hall. It was very dim. I would stay here again. Very convenient location.

The hotel was relatively clean and quiet. The room looks absolutely nothing like the pictures. Very old and run-down. We found ants on the floor one day, but they cleared quickly. Bathroom was clean and they did change linens. Parking is valet, and pretty much the same as other hotels. However, they tacked on another almost $50 “service charge” at the end of our stay. 6 Columbus is a very pretty hotel, with a great restaurant & steps away from Central Park. I did not have a good experience with the staff, my room, & unfortunately the roof was not open despite being advertised as open in April. I enjoyed being in this neighborhood in Manhattan so I was left with mixed feelings concerning my stay. Separate from hotel experience, I loved my experience at Blue Ribbon! The food was amazing & the staff was very friendly, & knowledgeable. Rave reviews for Blue Ribbon.

The hotel was in a great location, right at Columbus Circle easy access to the subway in Central Park. The rooms are very small, but everything you need is in them, including a well stocked bar with snacks if you so choose to indulge. There is a bar downstairs which I didn’t go to, I believe there is food available for room service and at the bar.

The location is closed to the shopping area and central park. The facility is small but cleaned and safe. There is a small bar and restaurant downstairs. Food and drink are good. The staff at the front desk is so nice. She offered me checked in early and to hold on to my bag as I was checked out early the next day for the event in Randall's island park that morning. The room is small but cleaned and quiet.

The room was loud with non-sound proofed windows. The staff were not very service oriented across the board and more interested in conversing with each other than with guests. Room service forgot to put in my order but they did end up comping it. There is no gym. The house keeping people were overly hovering on a daily basis. My room was dark and the hotel is not the nicest though the location is wonderful.

Our room was just what we expected for NYC. A bit small; but with 2 beds that were very comfortable and a fabulous shower. The only real negative was cleanliness. The linens seemed fine; but there was some sort of dried something on one of our decorative pillows (I don't need decorative pillows and definitely not dirty ones) and there was a thick layer of dust on sections of our side table. Overall a great location, a good hotel; but it does definitely need a cleaning upgrade.

This is my second time staying here. The staff is friendly at this hotel which is centrally located near transportation and sites. It's more of a boutique hotel so the rooms are small but very clean and up-to-date, including the bathroom. The only down side is the room doors are very close together so it's very loud and jolting when closed. You can also hear conversations in the adjacent rooms. I use my earbuds a lot so I was able to deal with it. I recommend it but not if you need a quiet stay.

Very few electrical outlets. Very small rooms. Beds were comfortable. Kind of a janky air conditioning unit in the window, with a power strip hanging from it to connect to the outlet. The employees were all quite good - great housekeeping, helpful maintenance guy, lovely server in the bar, nice to have doormen. The bagel place next door is fabulous, but the line is unbelievable Order online and early! Great location for subway, Central Park, mall across street, CVS and Walgreens one block away. Relatively quiet in the rooms.

Tiny room with a sealed window that looks onto an inner space that is essentially a ventilation shaft. No table or desk or equivalent. The minibar and TV area is covered by the array of products for sale, rendering the space unusable. The free wifi is terrible, and they try to upsell you to high-speed (i.e., normal, usable) internet. Great location. Good shower water pressure.

We got a room with a sofa bed and there was no mattress whatsoever so our daughter slept on a hard base the first night. We were told a topper would arrive the next day but apparently they had run out. Then after numerous calls we got a rollaway bed “dumped” in our room. We checked out early for another hotel. Pretty disappointed to say the least.

I have been staying at 6 Columbus for 20+ years. This visit had me contemplate my future hotel stays in NYC - the room's HVAC didn't work properly, there was a terrible leak coming from the bathroom ceiling, the bathroom outlet didn't work, the strage drawer under the bed kept opening so we continued to walk into it...half of the tv stations didn't come in, we placed a small bag of trash outside of the room door which was never picked up. When I spoke to the front desk, the gentlemen listened, though seemed more interested in counting the cash for a bank deposit than looking at me directly....mmm hmm, mmm hmmm. Doesn't make for great customer service reviews. I was offered 20% off ONE night though we stayed for two and were promised everything would be fixed. We asked for a new room though the hotel was full - the second night would have been impossible as we were out until midnight. I was offered a future "comped" room though have not received any follow up communication - totally disappointing. Why do I need to chase the hotel for this? And why couldn't they have just comped one night of my stay? I can't comfortably recommend this hotel anymore and will most likely need to identify a new "go-to" hotel for future NYC stays. It's a shame.

We paid for an upgraded room that we did not receive. The staff were incredibly rude from the start and unhelpful. We asked for robes and towels to 4 different concierges before giving up. Not at all a “luxury hotel”. Would only stay here as a last resort. Do not recommend.

The staff were the highlight of this hotel. Such friendly, highly responsive and helpful people. The housekeeping staff also was so kind and communicative. This location is hard to beat and it’s surrounded by great restaurants and shopping. We walked everywhere—from the park to museums, shows and restaurants easily and safely from the hotel.

This hotel has an excellent location near a subway stop, close to Central Park, Lincoln Center and not far from Rockefeller Center. It’s next to a delicious bagel shop and a couple parking garages which we used. It’s a small hotel, which we appreciated. The room was small but nothing atypical from most NYC hotel rooms, it was totally manageable for two of us. It was clean and had everything we needed. My only complaint is in room 69, the window air conditioning unit is a menace…and we didn’t even need to use it. The wind blowing outside caused it so sound like a vacuum cleaner moving between low and high power, with some whistling noises added, and the rain drops falling on it sounded like constant loud popping popcorn. We thought we could sleep through it but we were miserable. I should have asked to change rooms but at 3am you don’t feel like packing up and asking if there’s anything else available. We ended up turning on the AC to try to block out the noise which helped a little, but we were freezing because it was cold out. Other than the awful night sleep because of the AC we had a great experience here.
