Tune Hotel Liverpool

Easy check in- staff great from when we arrived. Room perfect for a night stay with my wife where we were around all bars, restaurants & shopping centre. Parking discount provided by hotek when you leave. Make sure you park at the Ncp vernon st, only 10 mins walk to hotel.

Had we of known about the refurbishment that was ongoing we would not of booked this hotel. We were originally put on the top floor of hotel B up i lost count of how many flights of stairs on the top floor. Passing old heaps of wood old cans of opened paint everywhere. No lift so had to carry our luggage all the way up. I went back to reception to ask the receptionist if she could move us to a more accessible room and she was very helpful and moved us straight away to the lower floor in the main building. Our room was to say the least awful. Had we of being charged maybe £50 per night to stay here we would of accepted it . But we were charged £263 for the 2 nights and we certainly did not expect what we got. There was brown excrement on the headboard and no idea what it was . To be honest i dont want to know . The paint was flaking off the walls. There was damp everywhere . The door knob came off in our hands everytime we closed the door . This was reported to reception. The shower tray filled up with water everytime we had a shower and took a very long time to drain. So we could only have literally a 2 min shower. The only good thing we have to say about this hotel is the location. Its literally in the middle of everything. We will definitely not be returning to this hotel and we are very disappointed with what we got for the price we paid.

Very good value for money. Ideal location. Staff helpful and pleasant. Currently got renovation works in progress. Room basic but ideal. Clean . Shower clean . TV in room and a safe. Not suitable for people with limited mobility.

Was a lovey clean room, only bad part was no hot drink making facilities in the rooms or spare pillows. There is hot drink machine in the reception altho when we visited it was out of order. Apart from that its an amazing hotel and right near everything. All in walking distance.

Very basic, no kettle in the room. Hotel was being refurbished so had to ‘go round the houses’ a little to get to the reception and also to the room. Otherwise a reasonable place for a business trip for a few days at a time, and perfectly placed for everything you could need in Liverpool.

Hotel is in a prime location. Situated very close to the dock, Cavern Quarter and Liverpool 1. 15 minute walk to Lime Street station. Two lifts to rooms which are very basic but clean. No tea making facilities. Reception staff were very helpful. Good hotel if you are not bothered about frills and just want a central location.

As basic as you can possibly get. Room was clean and basic. To get to the room you had to navigate through corridors, through big rooms, up several flights of stairs….a complete maze of a place!!! Location is perfect though

Good for a spontaneous one night solo stay. However, if staying for longer, my room was very basic - a couple of broken lights that made the room like a disco(!), the toilet roll was awfully thin & not really any storage space within rooms. The location of the hotel is amazing, SO central - just minutes away from the Cavern Quarter & an easy walk to both the docks & shopping area. Only downside to this, is there is a lively bar a few doors away that can be heard from the room if you’re on the front of the hotel like I was… so may impact on sleep The car park was a short walk away, which after research I was expecting & the discount you’re given makes it £10.95 for 24 hours parking (rather than £25). As I drove, I could keep my bags in the car on my day of departure but I believe it would cost around £2 should you wish to store luggage for the day. All in all, it did the job I needed it to. Would stay again if only having a fleeting visit

Clean enough for what you pay in your room however lifts turn of after a certain time and when you come back in at 2am to walk upto the 5th floor in heels is a struggle. Staff all lovely

Cleaning standard needs to be improved, dust was everywhere in the room

On arrival there was rubbish left on the windowsill whcih looked like drink csrrier. There was hair on rhe floors, on the bed and on the towel. The towel was ripped and well overused. I get its a 3 stat but still you expect normal basic cleanliness. Plus inwore white socks which agter walking along the floor last night, theyre now a shade of brown.

Reception staff were friendly but hotel room was very disappointing. Marks all over the walls with dirty fingerprints indicate poor cleaning standards. Condensation issues meant you couldn’t see out of the window. Not a great overall impression at all - hotel seems to be in need of investment and improvement. Location was great but would not return.

Perfect location,friendly staff but hotel in state of neglect I’m afraid.

In over 45 years of travelling this has to be the dirtiest hotel I have been in. Dirt and snot on the walls. Filthy floors. Deadbolt inoperable and plated off. The place was described as "budget" by the staff, even though it cost 120GBP for the night. We moved as soon as we could.

Clean, cosy room, nice view.

I was told to park in the wrong place, ended up paying 3x the price for parking. Rooms are clean, bathroom could be cleaner. Mold on the shower head. No hot water on the last day. Good location, but they don’t tell you about the “tourist tax” - which is nonsense!

The location of the hotel was excellent , the staff were friendly and professional. However, the hotel itself was not in good condition, the public areas were grubby, the paint was peeling off the walls in the room and the room itself was not very clean.

Room spotless and great location.

This place is very basic. Disappointed to arrive to find the coffee bar is not existent due to refurb. Initially was pleased with our room until we woke the next morning and drew back the curtains to find everybody in the office block, directly opposite the hotel, busy working at their computers, and able to see straight into our room, including the bathroom, which had a glass door which meant we had to have the curtains closed the whole time of our visit.

I really enjoyed this gem of a hotel near Liverpool Town Hall. It’s set in a beautifully preserved historic building with stylish, modern interiors. The bed was comfortable and spotless, and the views from the room were stunning. I’d definitely stay here again!

The bed is very uncomfortable. Windows would be benefit from secondary glazing as room is near very noisy bar/restaurant.

The room was shabby, all the walls dirty. The air-conditioning didn't work (very bad in a room with no windows), but above all THE MATTRESS was terrifying: every time you moved, the springs clicked and made noisy pops... little sleep and the worst backache of my life!

Everything was close too perfect except I had too take 2 elevators too get too my floor which is weird and there was no kettle the tv was really dusty and one off the lights were flickering but apart from all that everything was perfect and I loved that it wasn’t loud.

Room 221 air con doesn’t work, shower door doesn’t close

Really awful stay. Paid for 2 nights but only stayed one. Was so cold we slept in clothes with coats on top. One plug socket so had to choose what u wanted to plug in. No wardrobe no drawers, no coffee making. An air con that wouldn’t switch off. Actually too icy in bathroom to have a shower. Everywhere needed decorating badly and bed needed tipping. It was like sleeping on cardboard and made weird noises every time u moved. Very shabby hotel and wouldn’t ever stay again.

I could hear all the noises, from people walking up and down the corridor, next room's TV to everything that was going on in the street. So much noise made it very difficult to sleep and kept being woken up by noise. Other than that, all good

Very central and convenient. Basic and adequate one or two nights. Small rooms, okay if you're only sleeping. Double bed felt like a three-quarter bed, not full size. Had to keep curtains closed throughout as windows opposite were very close so could see everything in the room. No complaints though, for the price we paid.

Staff were lovely and the room itself was nice enough, however the windows are single pane and one wasn’t even able to fully close. There were constant seagulls screaming/fighting on the window ledge all night and due to it being single pane glass they might as well have been in the bedroom with me. To upgrade the windows to double glazing will make an enormous difference to the experience in the room, as I know nothing can be done about the birds/outside noise. Also, an added tea station in the rooms would be a lovely bonus.

So to start off we walked into Tune and immediately after we gave our name the staff started muttering under their breath about our room, in front of us. Which didn’t sit right with me. After we said we hadn’t stayed before we were just told our room was on the first floor. We had no directions at all until we bumped into a staff member and she helped us so thank you to her. She was really kind. Once we got in the room it was absolutely disgusting. Food stains on the walls, well I hope it was food, there was black mould on the ceiling of the shower as well as the paint peeling. Dead spiders in the light fixtures and window sill. When I turned the hot water tap on in the morning the “gas detector” went off but didn’t alert anyone but ourselves, we did mention it at the desk but it honestly didn’t matter. I didn’t want to stay and if we hadn’t of had a drink we would have driven home. It was awful. It honestly ruined our night together, I’m really disappointed. I definitely will never stay here again.

If you’re parking, know you can’t pull up in front. Save yourself and get the location of the parking garage in advance. Great stay. Incredibly nice front desk staff.

When i arrived at the property we were advised that a rokm had not been paid for. Upon checking, it sgowed that the hotel tried to charge us an extra £500 for all the rooms. I had phoned 2 weeks prior to our stay anr they confirmed what had been originally agreed. They refused to go back to the original amount and we cancelled the rooms and managed to find somewhere else. The servide was shocking and i wouldnt recommend this hotel at all

The staff were all so pleasant and helpful. Loved the location and parking discount so essential. Would be even better if check in was earlier than 3pm. Could not get my TV to work but didn't ask for help as only one night. Forgot to report TV issue before I left. Thank you

A hotel that could do with a fair bit of modernisation and upgrading, that was saved by a great location and really brilliant staff who could not have been more welcoming or friendly

The man on reception was very miserable.

The room was in good condition, the amenities were in good condition. My only feedback is about your Hotel website, which was down when I tried to pay for the room, after a few failed attempts to pay for the room, I decided to personally go to the hotel and pay the amount it was asking in the website. Unfortunately the person behind the desk, was not helpful and did not show any interest in helping me book the accommodation or look at trying to help with the website issue. The only response I received multiple times from the desk person was to leave the premises, go my own way and try to book the room through a third party website. In my opinion not the customer service experience I was expecting, especially mentioning that your website was not working correctly.

For the price this is an excellent hotel. Right in the heart of the restaurant and bars. A short walk down hill to the waterfront and the liver building.

Great location, easy to get to stuff to see and the train

This is a budget hotel in a great location - close enough to walk to the Albert docks and conference centre. Room was basic but very clean. Staff were welcoming.

Simple and clean hotel, mid refurbishment so hard to give a full assessment. Only black mark was lack of tea/coffee facilities to make own drink. Its a cheap solution to put a kettle and cups in each room and helps forst thing for anyone up and out early

Brilliant budget hotel. It has everything you need for a night in the city. Clean comfy bed, great shower, friendly staff - what more do you need? Just remember to pick up your tea or coffee in the lobby before you head upstairs. No kettles in the room.

I was disappointed because there wasnt a kettle in my room and the machine in the lobby was broken so i was unable to get a hot drink. Also the tv wouldn't switch on which i reported but still wouldn't work when i went back to the room .

The facilities were basic,very few provisions in the room,not even a kettle. The Hotel said it was 10 minutes walk from Albert Dock and infact it was 30 minutes. Access to the road of the hotel was limited so it was not possible to park a vehicle at certain times. There was no public transport and when I booked a taxi, it just didn't turn up. Also there were no dining facilitys. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Simple basic room but it was clean and modern, what more do I need. Hotel is right in the centre of the city and 5minutes walk to most places off interest and all the pubs that you want when visiting Liverpool. Only thing room was missing for me was a kettle, so instead of coffee i had vodka
