The facility was dated but well maintained. I gave it three stars for the facility because the elevators were out the entire week of my visit. I marked it down a star because of the seaweed that made the beaches unusable for the entire week I was there. Of course this is not the resort's fault, mother nature will have his her way. All in all you can't beat it for the price and the facility. It is especially good for people with small children they seem to have an entire section just for family and small children.

The report was nice, but lacked entertainment. No night club, no events during the day at the pool. Dinning was also difficult some of the restaurants were closed on Saturday and Sundays and they booked up very quickly. The rooms were kind of hot as well, and lobby was open so it was constantly hot there. Overall I’d rate it a 7/10.

Entertainment was great as there were always different choices. Food was very bland especially room service and got tired of the weak choices at the buffet. Pool was chipping away and found tile pieces in bottom of the pool and a friend cut his foot and they didn’t do anything else with cleaning of the pool afterwards. Wouldn’t come back as it was subpar at best.

The good: Lots of activities to do each day, from Bowling to Live music and Shows. Mike's cafe was great and had lots of cold and hot drinks as well as snacks and light sandwiches! Route 66 had a late night menu from 10pm to 6am which was very convenient. Access to the tennis courts was a nice feature. The pool had nice features and the hammocks was a great touch. The bike tour with Jonathan was a cool ride. He encouraged us along the way and made us feel comfortable during the bike ride to Puerto Morelos. The bad: The seaweed made the beach water literally inaccessible our whole 7 day trip. The smell was also very strong and unbearable at times. We visited Puerto Morelos on a bike tour and noticed there were very little seaweed on the beach and none in the water. It was clear blue water. We noticed they used nets in the water to block the seaweed from entering. I would suggest that Ocean Coral & Turquesa perform the same method. I would also suggest that a disclaimer is added to the reservations prior to booking informing guests that there is no way to swim in the ocean at Ocean Coral & Turquesa. If we had known this fact, we may have tried booking somewhere else because the point of Cancun is to enjoy the beach. They may need to rename the hotel to Pool Turquesa due to this huge drawback. They could also add a free shuttle to the Puerto Morelos beach for guests that want to enjoy the ocean water. At that location the government provides a net in the water blocking seaweed.

This is a large property with a lot of rooms and 4 swimming areas. An adults only, a pool with a bar for the more alcohol driven folks, a very large family pool and a kids pool area with some play structures. The restaurants are quite good! All of them. And the snack bars. Excellent. The staff are great. The property is clean. It’s a little bit worn as it isn’t new, but very well kept up. There is also a soccer field / basketball court and some other amenities like a bowling alley and a spa. Not that raccoons come out in the evening. They are very friendly as many guests unfortunately feed them. We also saw some Coatis and Agoutis during the day. They weren’t disruptive. Just there. There was a lot of seaweed during our stay, which could not be cleaned up. Too bad as you could tell there was a beautiful white sand beach. There is a smell from the seaweed but you get used to it quickly and it isn’t bothersome. Our family with two teens would go again.

We were so glad to be on the El Beso Adult only section! The pool restaurant was the best for food. We tried all the other food choices and were disappointed. Unfortunately, 1st day, the pool's bathroom was out of order, we saw many opt to pee in the pool, gross. We decided to go to the other "party pool" the next day, but they closed it down because someone puked in it, gross. Went to town instead - beware of a salesman who will recognize your bracelet and get you into his "grandparents" jewelry store. But my husband did buy me some great earrings, less the $200 asking price, lol. The meal in Puerto Morales was excellent! I can't remember the name, but it was seaside with a dock. Anyway, we waited a couple days to go into the pool, to clean itself out and had a nice, peaceful time there.

Beautiful property. Very nice staff. Great food in the buffet. Route 66 diner staff and food was amazing. The manager of Routt 66 is so fun and made our dining experience so relaxing along with our waiter. Hotel room floors were dirty but the rest of the room was clean. The bowling was super fun. The adult area pool was by far the best pool service in the resort. Did not see any theater shows and was hoping for a little more evening entertainment but overall above average resort. The staff were incredible for the most part. Thanks for a memorable vacation and would come again and looking forward to the new sister property ooe inf soon near you.

Slow service for food. Both in lunch and dinner restaurants. The elevator was broken most of the time though service staff worked on it every other day. Food in general was mixed quality. The Italian restaurant was quite bad. Overcooked meat/pasta/gnocci. Route66 restaurant was super noisy due to really bad acoustics inside.

Beautiful clean hotel with excellent service. The pools are pristine and privilege service gives you a wonderful Butler. I have had Carlos/Charly as a Butler several times. He is wonderful always checks on me to see if I need everything. He made all my dinner reservations. Charly is an excellent Butler. I have been at this hotel 10 times and plan to return.

On arrival our room had a moldy smell. They brought a dehumidifier and sprayed some aroma scent. That took care of it,and we asked them to spray 2x daily. Unfortunately we had to ask every day for it to be done. Finally the last 2 days they did it as we requested. Overall a laid back resort. We are active seniors and enjoy dancing at night-disco or night club. The entertainment was geared towards families and kids. Buffet was just ok. Blue moon was excellent. Italian was excellent. It a lian patio was mediocre. Too long to wait for food. Brazilian steak house just ok. Didn't care for Route 66 menu. Staff everywhere was outstanding and helpful. Everyone on the Blue Team worked their tails off every day to make you feel welcome and have fun. Fernanda was outstanding as was Eduardo at the Chill Bar. Estrella at housekeeping took care of the issue with our room once she became involved.if she was involved sooner, our stay would have been excellent.

The property needs some updates — the elevator could be improved, and the beach was not usable due to a large amount of seaweed. The pool was dirty and needs better maintenance. On the bright side, the rooms were clean, and the staff was very polite and took good care of the guests, which we really appreciated.

Would NOT recommend. The food was very bland and dry. There are like 2 good restaurants. Cockroaches in our room. Towels were like sand paper. Hardly any bars open during the day or evening. Limited things to do. Only 2 places open for lunch. SO many raccoons everywhere! They walked into our room when we were in there. They came and serviced our room two times a day which we felt was unnecessary as we felt we had to put away our things every time we left the room.

Es un hotel que necesita renovación, los baños están viejos y se nota la suciedad en ellos. El servicio de los dependientes no es el mejor, en la mayor parte de la instalación no sientes que estás de vacaciones son pocos los dependientes que te dan una atención 5 estrellas, incluso le trasmitimos nuestra preocupación a uno de los muchachos de la carpeta del hotel y este nos dijo que no compartía nuestra opinión a pesar de manifestarle hechos concretos que nos habían sucedido. La piscina principal siempre estuvo sucia y turbia, según ellos por la cantidad de personas lo cual no es cierto. En el lobby un calor que se torna insoportable, los ventiladores que hay solo están en el área donde realizan ventas, los turistas no tienen ese privilegio. En mi opinión no son merecedores de la categoría de 5 estrellas deben trabajar mucho para lograr que los visitantes se sientan a gusto en la instalación.

I really didn't enjoy my stay. First off we couldn't enjoy beach because of seamoss. The rooms had ants in them. The racoons act like they live there. We had to wait hours for service for towels or I had to call them like 3 times and when they did come they only brought 2 when there were 4 people in room. No all night pool.

The updated rooms in El Beso are beautifully done, spotless and fresh. Check-in was a pleasure, it was clear and efficient and she did well to accomodate a change in our room.

We had a great room, big one, with two queen beds. The bathroom had a full bathtub with shower, other separated shower, and a separated toilet. It was some issues with the toilet but solved right away. All staff were good and special Bernice from front desk, Eduardo from the pool bar were outstanding, professional and helpful. Food was amazing for all tastes. We had entertainment every single nights and enjoyed it. Excellent were activities around the pool too. Be aware that you have to book your shuttle from the airport to resort and back. We done through Expedia and it was around 120 CAD.

First, Antonio around the pool did a great job keeping our drinks full. Food was good in some restaurants. Like all “all-inclusive” resorts, the buffet changes but seems the same each day. It gets old if staying here for more than a few days. We stayed a week and enjoyed the place. The beach is un-swimmable because of the seaweed problem. Gives off a bad odor across the resort as well. Our check in process was easy and we got special perks for being on our honeymoon. The property was clean and well taken care of but is a little dated. The food was fantastic and I love that you can eat at all the restaurants as part of the all inclusive package. The drinks were strong and there were a good variety. ROOMS: Stayed in Junior Suit Ocean View. Very putdated. Room was spaceus, however, old and unkept. Bathrooms are big as well but somehow not practical and no privacy, there is only a thin curtain in the washing area, the toilet and shower have doors but they are small. I arrived at the hotel with my children only to have Alejandro refuse to give me my room key. Instead he extorted an additional $1000 above what I had booked through hotels.com. He claimed my minor children were adults. This was ridiculous since he had made copies of their passports. It was 10pm and I had no where to go with my children. The room he gave me was roach infested. I was calling other hotels trying to find somewhere else to stay. Once I secured another place, I was told I could not get a refund. We were stuck. At 2am another staff member gave us a better room that did not appear to be roach infested. I am wondering what is the point of booking through hotels.com if when you arrive, the hotel staff can charge whatever they want and hotels.com does nothing to remedy the situation. Why are you doing business with a company that extorts money from customers? When I was leaving, the staff told me they tried to refund my money but my credit card wouldn’t allow it. Of course when I contacted my credit card, they had no such requests. There are not enough chairs so unless you go the pool at the crack of dawn, you have no place to sit. People leave towels on chairs and don’t return for hours. The staff does nothing to assist. The beach area is very small. The best day was when we left the hotel for an excursion. For example for the first 3 days basically more than half of the trip I kept telling the staff that our door doesn’t work and doesn’t let us in, times we would have to stay outside of our room for up to 30 minutes and a couple of times they said they called someone to check it out and no one ever did. The door for our room was very frustrating and us waiting til after check in time to get our room even though we arrived 6 hours earlier.

Worst 1st day experience ever. Rooms were not ready until 3:30. I was pressured to “upgrade” my rooms for $300, it had no hot water and almost zero water pressure, just barely a trickle. Our neighbors were so loud, screaming and banging things. We had to switch rooms after just unpacking. The manager did nothing for the inconvenience. We didn’t get into a new room until 9pm. We were traveling since 6am, and we couldn’t get settled or showered until after 9pm. The property was clean, the food not good, the swim up bar pool was filthy, and not enough staff at swim up bar. We were unable to make reservations for any restaurants. Unacceptable hospitality. Most uninclusive all inclusive resort I’ve ever stayed at.

We stayed at the resort for our honeymoon trip. Jose in guest services was amazing, he secured us dinner reservations for the first day even though everything was booked out when we arrived. Honestly, all the staff were great and they try their best to keep the resort clean and the seagrass cleared. The activities they had were great we had alot of fun with archery, dance lessons and aquagym and the evening shows at 9pm were pretty good. One issue we had was just trying to get water we don’t drink much alcohol, and when we asked for water instead, it sometimes felt like a hassle or like we were being dismissed, which made us uncomfortable many times we had to ask several times before getting water but whenever we asked for alcohol drink we received pretty quick. Another issue was being pushed into a timeshare presentation without really being told what it was. We were sent to the front desk, then told to have breakfast with someone even though we said we already ate. They said it would take one hour being,naive and not wanting to be rude we agreed but it dragged to 3 hours lost patience and ended it myself didn't even want the massage they offered and just threw the coupon away. Just be aware of being talked into these presentations. Overall, we would return — maybe just bringing our own water next time. If you’re looking for a beach resort, this might not be it, but they can help you book an excursion to Isla Mujeres, which gave us the one perfect beach day we wanted.

Went here with my fiance to celebrate his birthday and as an early anniversary for both of us. We were greeted nicely and all the staff were great throughout our stay. We were given a free room upgrade with ocean view which was so nice of them. I love the food selection and the easiness to navigate around with services and programs through their website. 4 stars because the elevator in our building was not working for our first 2 days there and our room was in the 4th floor. Also, our wine glasses disappeared after the second night (we had a free bottle from my Expedia vip) and were not given to us again even after requested. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. :)

We went to this resort for our honeymoon and had a good time, but some things could have been better. Upon our arrival we were told we would likely get a honeymoon suite and a package sent to our room, I wasn't expecting to get anything extra, so this was a nice surprise. However, neither of these things ended up happening, which was a bit disappointing. The first thing you will notice about the property is the seaweed at the beach. I know there is nothing the property can do about this, however it does impact the experience greatly as the beach is totally unusable. There is a smell from the seaweed across the whole property, we slowly got used to it but were certainly still noticing it on our last day. You also get charged an extra fee for "seaweed removal". We never saw any seaweed get removed. The staff was overall friendly and helpful. However part of their job is clearly to upsell you on extra experiences and excursions, which is a large pet peeve of mine. No staff member was overbearing or rude about it, I just don't want to be constantly getting sold to or be getting calls to the room asking if id like to purchase an excursion. I chose this resort for two reasons, cost and food. I had read several reviews saying the food was excellent. This set my expectations too high, as i wasn't very impressed. It was solid, but i've had better at other all-inclusives that were similarly priced. This was a fine experience for the cost, but it is unlikely I would return.

The resort is spacious and well laid out. We stayed in the adults-only section, which I highly recommend. The adults-only pool was clean and spacious, in comparison, the two other pools on the resort were much more crowded, which meant they were less well-maintained: there was sand at the bottom and the water was a bit murky. At the time of our stay (June 2025), the beach was completely inaccessible due to a large accumulation of seaweed (sargassum). Unfortunately, this significantly impacted our overall experience, as we weren’t able to enjoy the ocean. In addition, there was a persistent smell of sulfur in the air, especially in the mornings, something to keep in mind if you’re pregnant or sensitive to smells, as it can cause nausea. When it came to food, we were pleasantly surprised. The meals were tasty and varied, with several à la carte restaurants and great cocktails. One downside, however, was the restaurant reservation system: you have to book very early the same morning, and spots fill up quickly. There’s no option to book in advance, which can be frustrating if you don’t wake up early enough. The staff, was very professional, nice and friendly. Overall, it was a lovely experience, with a few areas for improvement. I would rate it 3.5 out of 5.

We had a staff member by the name of Oscar Aventro that helped us get a free Couples massage and learn more about private part of resort. It is a shame that they have the seaweed problem for the beach, but they had so much entertainment going on each day that you didn't realize that you missed the beach. We recommend you do the excursion with the yacht and snorkeling.

Food and drinks were very good. Property was well maintained. Seaweed made the beach unavailable and the seaweed smell was horrible. I wish they would have tried to remove the old washed up seaweed that was present the whole time we were there.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Staff is friendly and accommodating. We booked through expedia and if you do, you cannot modify your reservation unless you do it via expedia who then has to communicate with the resort. We booked a long stay (8days), we felt it was too long, and we wanted to stay closer to cancun, but since we did not add the option to refund, the resort denied our change. The resort is pretty, by the water, that is why we booked it. However, there is a huge issue with the algae there, and the smell is strong. We appreciate the hard working staff in their restaurant and buffet places. Food has loads of options in the buffet (fruits and vegetables). We preferred the buffet style vs the reservation restaurant overall. The pools are well maintained. We ended up renting a car for the week. We booked a private tour with GIOVANNI Tour and skip the lines (Chichen Itza, Cenote pool, lunch). We drove in the morning to the port and took the Xcaret ferry from Cancun to las Isla Mujeres (would recommend renting a golf cart for the day) , we drove to Delphine beach and the vicinities. Overall, nice resort, location is isolated, beach is not usable due to algae right now (june 2025), staff is great. Rent a car if you have a long stay.

The food, staff, and drinks were outstanding. The pools were nice too. They do there best to keep the beach free from seaweed, but was just that time of year. The worst thing is the main eating area/ cafeteria temperature. You'll sweat while you eat. Needs improvement. Food is great though.

Beach view was beautiful besides the smelly seaweed. Spa was amazing! The french restaurant was absolutely delicious. Bar members Marco, Alejandro, and Gustavo where absolutely amazing!

I travel to Mexico every year with my family and like to try different resorts. This one had a beautiful property, clean facilities, and a great service- especially from the stuff who were always friendly and helpful. The resort is very family friendly, with good entertainment and a relaxing atmosphere. Our room was clean and comfortable and we enjoyed spending time in the pool. However, the food was hit or miss. The buffet lunch didn’t have enough meat options, and Brazilian style restaurant was disappointing. The meat was very salty and the chicken breast was dry. On the other hand, we really enjoyed the Mexican restaurant, Italian, Hibachi, Route 66 and the cafe they had much better food. Overall, it was a nice stay.

Entertainment was great as there were always different choices. Food was very bland especially room service and got tired of the weak choices at the buffet. Pool was chipping away and found tile pieces in bottom of the pool and a friend cut his foot and they didn’t do anything else with cleaning of the pool afterwards. Wouldn’t come back as it was subpar at best.

I had an excellent stay at this resort! The staff and service were outstanding—always friendly, attentive, and professional. Room service was prompt and high quality, and the overall amenities were impressive, especially the bars and restaurants. The coffee shop was another highlight, offering great service and convenient hours. The food in the main cafeteria was delicious with plenty of options, which made meals enjoyable. Nice resort, great staff and the facilities were very nice. The beach was average and the food selection was minimal in the buffet or on the dining restaurants. The Brazilian style restaurant was great with a lot different meets cuts off skewers at your table. Only there 2 nights and did not get to explore area.

Honestly the resort isn’t terrible, but my friend and I visited Ocean El Faro in Punta Cana and that resort set high expectations for us, so we were dissapointed with the franchises location in cancún. We were dissapointed with the cleanliness of our initial room at Ocean Coral & Turquesa so we asked to change it. Front desk changed our room. There is only one restaurant open past 10pm and the chicken was raw. The buffet food had a wide selection, something for everyone.

Front desk staff poorly managed a large group and people had to wait almost an hour to check in. The A/C kept running all night and we had to moved to another room and had to go back to the front desk. Food was delicious at the buffet, that and the swimming pool were the best amenities.

I would like to recognize a few team members who truly made a positive impression: * Our server at the Mexican restaurant (unfortunately, I did not get his name) was outstanding. He was incredibly kind, attentive, and provided the best service we received during our stay. * Lluvia at Kelly’s Playhouse went above and beyond. I had accidentally been looking at the rainy-day activity schedule instead of the regular schedule for bracelet making. Even though it was my mistake, she took the time to help and made it possible for my son to participate. Her kindness meant a lot to us. * Arturo, the bartender, was also very friendly and provided excellent service throughout our stay. I also wanted to share a few concerns: * Erika from Sensai provided very poor customer service. As a lead, I expected a higher level of professionalism and leadership, but unfortunately that was not our experience. * Emmanuel from Guest Services seemed to struggle with handling a difficult situation. The staff were very cordial and helpful. The food was delicious. The workout room leg press machine was in poor shape. The rest of the workout equipment was workable. The pool water was clean and the many jacuzzi jets were nice, but there was quite a bit of debris on the floor of the pool. There was a shortage of electrical outlets for electronic devices near the beds.

Avoid this place if you want to be treated fairly. Booking this location through Hotels.com was the topic and decision making factor in all of my stay at this location. We were treated as second class citizens because we didn’t book directly through the property. Amenities were promised on Hotels.com which because unavailable upon arrival at the hotel because we were “Expedia guests” Any time we asked for things like a dinner reservation which was told we entitled to, we were not granted. We watched the staff look up our name and then say “your reservation was through Expedia” followed by some lame excuse as to why the request couldn’t be completed. Additionally the air conditioning died in the middle the night and we were told we could not be compensated because again our room was booked through Expedia. It’s important to note we didn’t even know Hotels.com was Expedia. The breakfast buffet made us sick raw bacon and hot egg yoke at the omelet station we had to see the doctor for E. Coli when we returned to the states.

Rooms and resort were very clean. However, the beach was unaccessible due to massive amount of seaweed. The smell was awful and I was not notified of this prior to booking.
