We just got back from a week at Secrets. Love that you can have your choice from quiet to mid party to loud and fist bumpin in one resort. The food was all great. We ate all of our breakfasts and a couple suppers at Rosewood. Love the brick oven pizzas at the swing bar by the beach! Burgers were good by the pool. Hibachi was our favorite. The service was all top notch. Alejandro and Hugo at the Sports bar were the BEST. They took great care of us and were the extra cherry on top. The Sports Bar has any sport you can dream of. We loved watching all the Sunday football in the pool. We didn’t spend any time at the beach. The beach itself is pretty small, but the water is murky and yucky. However, if you are more of a pool vibe person, you will be just fine. Overall, we would come back in a heartbeat.

Stayed in a swim out that was nice and spacious. It was located by a bar so the waiters would bring drinks. This resort is close to Breathless so you have access to their restaurants which gives plenty of options to choose from. The walking distance is decent. There were things going on each day. There’s also a nightclub. I would definitely recommend this resort.

Come here to sleep by the pool or to read a book. Very quiet resort. Had access to Breathless side where much more activities and better vibe around the pool. Restaurants and drinks ok. Service was 5 stars most everywhere both sides. Beach was unswimmable and smelly due to sargassum. DO NOT come here looking with crystal clear blue waters. Had a great vacation, met lots of fun interesting people. Would have preferred more entertainment staff, only 3, and more activities.

Nous étions du côté tranquille de l’hôtel (Secrets) et c’était parfait pour nous. Les employés sont vraiment exceptionnels et nous avons particulièrement adoré Luis aux activités et Luis au bar du Prefered Club. On a eu un petit soucis avec l’application les 2 premiers jours, mais ça c’est bien réglé par la suite et ils ont nous ont même offert une compensation pour le désagrément. Nous avons également droit à 1h de spa par séjour, mais le plus agréable c’est que ça se termine par un petit massage (inclus). Côté nourriture, rien de négatif. Je conseil grandement le restaurant français (Coquette) et sa soupe à l’oignon. Un pur délice. Nous prenions la plupart de nos repas au Rosewater, disponible seulement au Secrets. Le menu est varié et les employés sont encore une fois aux petits soins. Les spectacles le soir sont très bien. Il manque un peu de chaises longues et de parasols pour le nombre de vacanciers. On reviendra pour nos 20 ans de mariage! Merci! Aurélie et David

It\'s like they\'ve never had an entire team meeting... so everyone is on the same page... The staff was nice, the room was beautiful and all but 1. If you are planning to get married here dont the months of April-Sep because the seaweed is horrible. You can smell it. 2. They SAY they are a dog friendly resort. But they are not. You can\'t leave the dog alone in the room and they tell you, that you can eat at the outdoor restaurants. But non of the restaurants will let you eat OUTDOORS with the dog. Make it make sense. 3. They dont allow you to workout unless you have sneakers in the gym. I\'m a minimalistic packer, taking sneakers to place like this isn\'t necessary. Just have people sign a waiver because not being able to work out was a bummer. 4. When we checked out, we had to go back and get some "check out" paper. Why didn\'t we just get it the moment we checked out the 1st time? 5. The only snack by the pool is pizza... more options would of been great. The staff was friendly and help full but nobody is on the same page. I would never go back.

My husband and I stayed at Secrets Riviera Cancún All Preferred - Adults Only - All Inclusive, and overall, it was a wonderful experience. The resort itself is beautiful and very well maintained. I loved the different vibes of the pools — we started at the quiet pool, ended up at the lively pool on Saturday during the all-day party (SO much fun), and then enjoyed the middle pool on Sunday for the football games. The food was decent, though I’ll admit we didn’t fully explore all of the dining options available. Our room was romantic and comfortable — I never wanted to get out of the shower! We also had a hot tub on our balcony, which unfortunately we didn’t get a chance to use because we spent most of our time relaxing at the pools. We also took full advantage of the spa, which was an excellent experience. The only real negative of our trip was the “resort tour” they promote. It’s positioned as a quick, no-obligation, two-hour experience where you get to see one of their new properties and receive resort credits. Since it was a rainy day, we figured why not. The property we visited, Secrets Moxché, was stunning and honestly blew me away. But the experience quickly shifted into a hard sales pitch. Property was clean and well-kept. House keepers did an amazing job cleaning. I went out after dinner and came back to a clean room with bed remade and towels/washcloths restocked. Only 1 restaurant on the secrets side that was really good for breakfast lunch and dinner. However, you would have to go on the breathless side for other restaurants and entertainment. Secrets is for sure, the relaxing side, but you get the best of both worlds

It should be clearer that this facility is a shared resort with Breathless. Rooms were not cleaned well. The food portions were small. Room service ordered but never came. Some of the workers were very nice and warm. My friends and I enjoyed the open game space with the bar that is available on the breathless side of the property.

Ramirez & Samuel are the best at making this property so amazing! Irma at checkin was so helpful and attentive. Jesus at the Secrets bar not only made the best drinks but also felt like family. These people go above and beyond everytime I visit, the facilities are always clean and staff is always so welcoming. Food is great and drinks are delicious (staff is trained to not over serve you). If you prefer to party stay at Breathless side if you prefer to relax stay at Secrets and if you love both still stay at Secrets because you get access to both. Thanks to everyone at the resort for again making the best experience possible!

This is a pretty nice mid-level resort. I enjoyed the level of service, how clean things were and just the general vibe. My favorite part was being able to walk to the Breathless side of the resort for more of a party vibe if I wanted.

The resort was beautiful! Its about a 20 minute ride from the Cancun airport which isnt bad but its secluded! So if your looking be near clubs i wouldnt recommend! The rooms are amazing showers in the middle of the room and jacuzzi tubs on the balconys! The food was okay! Drinks amazing and the service! They also offer swim out rooms! The hibachi restaurant was the best, but thats the only restaurant you have to make reservations for! All in all definitely a 10/10 stay! And you have access to the breathless resort as well so 3 different pool options with swim up bars and a dj!

I took my wife here for our anniversary/her birthday trip and it was our first experience at an all inclusive. TL;DR This place is a DREAM! The resort has amazing layout and has something for everyone based on what your taste is. It was a perfect fit for us because we’re folks who enjoy the peace and quiet but like having the option of going to the party. The Swimout Oceanview Junior Suite and (and the master suite) are absolutely worth it as they always seem to remain a nice cool temperature. That way you can retreat to them if the larger pools get too crowded or too warm in the Mexico heat, Most of all the service above what truly makes this place feel like your own personal heaven. They make sure to remember your name and always treat you like family if you treat them well. A special shoutout to Nidel, Luis, Jacob, Roger, and Brian for their excellence service and making us feel like we never wanted to leave. I see a lot of folks complain about the beach and I can understand because other resorts have those turquoise blue waters you look for in your vacation spot but it turned out that this year was a terrible year for sargassum (look it up and get familiar with it. You’ll be upset if your beach vacation is ruined by it) and Secrets has a barrier to protect its beaches from it. It’s not a perfect solution as some still gets through but it’s nothing compared to what has slammed other resorts in the area, and it’s well maintained. Enjoy your stay! We sure did!

We loved our time at the resort. The check in process was easy and the property is beautiful. Most of the employees were very friendly and eager to meet our every desire. We were lucky enough to be offered a free upgrade. We were in a king suite with a swim out. Our butler introduced himself to us right after check in. We were told that he would be in touch frequently to see what he could do for us. He asked about all of our favorites for the mini bar. We never heard from a butler the whole time we were there. We finally reached out to him on the 2nd day we were there and asked for a few things for our mini bar. And we never heard from him again for the rest of our stay. If we had actually paid for this upgrade I would be very disappointed. The breakfast buffet was really good! There were so many options! The resort was in excellent condition. There are just a couple things that may need some updating. The mattress was very worn and sunken in and the bath towels were very rough. They might need to be replaced soon. Overall our visit was awesome and we really enjoyed relaxing here for a week.

We came to celebrate our 20th anniversary and loved our experience. Loved our swimout room although it did have a bit of a moldy smell inside the room, not sure why that was because the room and surrounding areas inside and out were well maintained and clean and beautiful.The Staff was great! They go above and beyond! We visited the Rosewater restaurant, hibachi, strip grill, Spumante and buffet. All had great food options. Even the wood grilled pizzas were great by the pool. Only downside was the club After dark. If you weren't drinking wine or beer then their mixed drinks were horrible. Also they closed at 1am, so that's a little early for my preference on vacation. Beach wasn't turquoise clear but it was a good view for those that don't go in the beach waters anyways. Great first experience for all inclusive in Cancun.

They tried to blame it on it being high season even though it is not. Also, this is a resort, and should be able to service large numbers of people. However, they seemed to be understaffed and poorly managed. Most staff are slow to bring you things that you request. We were never able to use the app to make reservations or order things. We had to request things multiple times or get them ourselves. We were promised a bottle of champagne by a manager for our troubles, which we never received. The dinner buffet was closed without notice on the evening of Jan. 1st. Instead, they had an outdoor semi-buffet with dry overcooked limited items. It was supposed to be open at 6:30, however it didn't open until 7 pm. Several people complained, to which they told people that they could go to one of the restaurants where they would wait 45 minutes. People chose the buffet for convenience, which was not a thing. One of the few people who we thought were nice and attentive in the Spoon café crossed boundaries by holding my hand and kissing my cheek without my permission, which made me feel completely uncomfortable and violated. I never saw any of the other waiters doing this or him doing this to any other guest.

This was honestly the best vacation we have ever had!!! Room was fantastic.Service was spectacular.Absolutely no complaints. My husband and I stayed at Secrets Riviera Cancún All Preferred - Adults Only - All Inclusive, and overall, it was a wonderful experience. The resort itself is beautiful and very well maintained. I loved the different vibes of the pools — we started at the quiet pool, ended up at the lively pool on Saturday during the all-day party (SO much fun), and then enjoyed the middle pool on Sunday for the football games. The resort was beautiful! Its about a 20 minute ride from the Cancun airport which isnt bad but its secluded! So if your looking be near clubs i wouldnt recommend! The rooms are amazing showers in the middle of the room and jacuzzi tubs on the balconys! The food was okay! Drinks amazing and the service! They also offer swim out rooms! The hibachi restaurant was the best, but thats the only restaurant you have to make reservations for! All in all definitely a 10/10 stay! And you have access to the breathless resort as well so 3 different pool options with swim up bars and a dj!

Every time we ordered, it took a while to receive it and I noticed many people giving up on waiting longer to get their food. Another thing was the location of the place. It was far from the highway and other stores, and it was impossible to go anywhere on foot. Taking a taxi was the only option, otherwise, everything was perfect.

We just got back from a week at Secrets. Love that you can have your choice from quiet to mid party to loud and fist bumpin in one resort. The food was all great. We ate all of our breakfasts and a couple suppers at Rosewood. Love the brick oven pizzas at the swing bar by the beach! Burgers were good by the pool. Hibachi was our favorite. The service was all top notch. Alejandro and Hugo at the Sports bar were the BEST. They took great care of us and were the extra cherry on top. The Sports Bar has any sport you can dream of. We loved watching all the Sunday football in the pool. We didn’t spend any time at the beach. The beach itself is pretty small, but the water is murky and yucky. However, if you are more of a pool vibe person, you will be just fine. Overall, we would come back in a heartbeat.
We just got back from a week at Secrets. Love that you can have your choice from quiet to mid party to loud and fist bumpin in one resort. The food was all great. We ate all of our breakfasts and a couple suppers at Rosewood. Love the brick oven pizzas at the swing bar by the beach! Burgers were good by the pool. Hibachi was our favorite. The service was all top notch. Alejandro and Hugo at the Sports bar were the BEST. They took great care of us and were the extra cherry on top. The Sports Bar has any sport you can dream of. Although the staff was very friendly, the resort was lacking. I've stayed at other Secrets locations & this was definitely not 5 star. It was more like 3.5. The food (even with plenty restaurants) was lacking flavor in my opinion. Even with Preferred Club, only the alcohol options were better. It took 2 hours to get into my room, onlly after the 2 hours did they change my room. I wouldn't recommend if you've traveled and enjoy 5 star privileges, this is not that.

We love this resort. Food was good. Super nice atmosphere. The room was extremely nice. But will say the drinks were water down a lot most of the time you can tell there was no alcohol in them even when we asked. Also the resort doesn’t really have 14 full restaurants it was more like 6 full ones. The buffet wasn’t really to good. Resort isn’t really as open as expected but still really really nice! Looking forward to coming back!

The restaurants that had good food was Rosewater, Silk City for Hibachi, Picante (only for the guac and tacos), Foam (for the pizza) and maybe Bites at night which turns into the Strip Grill. The Italian restaurant I would avoid, we waited over an hour for our food. The pasta came all soupy and not even cooked all the way, we left and went to Rosewater. If you order food, order 2 of everything, the portions are small which isn't bad but if you're hungry just order 2.

Grounds and beach area are amazing! Dining in restaurants other than Rosewater and buffet breakfast have taken a decided downturn since I visited last January. The live music on Friday evening was far too loud for dining in the steak restaurant. Could not converse with table mates comfortably. There seems to be a problem with staffing in those restaurants as while the meals, except for the steak restaurant, were tasty, they were on the cool side rather than straight from the kitchen. The servers seemed pressed to accommodate the patrons in a timely fashion. The servers themselves were all professional and extremely courteous. The service at the steak restaurant was iffy as there were two large groups in the dining area. And when did they stop giving the meat options on both the restaurant menu and on the iPad menu in the suites? We enjoyed the steak restaurant so much last year we planned on going twice this time. Didn’t happen as the steaks were bloody rare and cold. Sides were minuscule. Service was very spotty and slow. Didn’t even stay for desert because of service and very loud music next door. I reserved two rooms last summer for January with two double beds in each room for this visit and was assured both by email and personal phone calls this was possible as we had the same on our last visit. Upon arrival I was told only King beds were available. This was rectified the next day for one room, but not the second. Still love this resort and plan to return next January!

We had preferred club Ocean front. The room was fantastic. The food was AMAZING! Everyone worked was Fabulous!! We played volleyball, took water aerobics, a ceviche and Tequila class. Luis was THE BEST!!

The rooms were very well maintained and they kept the mini bar stocked daily. The staff was very friendly and very helpful when needed. The beach view was not so pleasant it had mounds of seaweed at the foot of the beach you couldn’t go and put your feet in the water so I didn’t like that. The swim out was amazing though and they brought food and drinks right while you were in the pool. The food was not the best I was looking for authentic meals but nothing really grabbed me and the drinks were awful you never tasted the liquor it was all diluted from the ice or juice.

Overall, I would say this wasn't one of the top resorts we've been to. Food was average and way too salty to the point where we would request no salt to be added. Entering the resort didnt give us that "escape to paradise" type of vibe, sort of just felt average. The lobby bar is lacking that feeling of being a starting point for the night, like some other resorts that havr a grand and larger lobby area. For the price point, I would say that it is an okay resort, but dont expect to be blown away by anything in particular. The one thing that I can say, is that the staff were always extremely friendly and very helpful. From all the bartenders, to the cleaning staff, and everyone in between, I have only good things to say about how amazing the staff was. Overall, I would say that for the price you pay, it is what you would expect, but we most likely wouldn't come back or recommend it to family and friends unfortunately.
