The view is amazing. The wraparound porch gives you a wonderful view of the farms and the animals. I love that they have complementary water, coffee, tea, hot chocolate. I wish they would bring back morning breakfast. That was so wonderful waking up and having oatmeal muffins, yogurt, and fresh fruit.

We were very pleased with our stay at Hillside Inn! Nice size room & bathroom. Good carpeting. Bed was very comfortable! Big screenTV. Lobby was big & pretty. Nice sitting area inside & a big porch outside with rocking chairs to sit & enjoy the view. Plenty of parking. Quiet area. There is a big beautiful kitchen that you're allowed to use. Highly recommend staying here! 👍🙂

We have been coming to Holmes County for many years, but this was our first stay at Hillside Villa. It is a lovely home with an incredible view of Amish farms. We enjoyed sitting out on the back deck watching the cows, horses, birds, and passing Amish buggies. The rooms are spacious and very clean and the common areas of the house include a living room, dining room, kitchen, and game room. We can't wait until our next visit to the Hillside Villa.

Excellent place to stay. Under new ownership and they’ve apparently made some changes. Beautiful room, everything was immaculately clean. High quality linens, great pillows. Great bathroom. A full kitchen and dining room you’re able to use to prepare your own food. They don’t serve breakfast but there’s lovely cafes minutes away in Berlin. This is one of the most exceptional properties that we have ever stayed at. (It was a birthday gift from my wife). The online pictures do not do it justice. Everything from the room to the kitchen and the wrap around porches were clean and well maintained. We had a stunning view from the west facing porch. I can almost guarantee you that we'll be back.

This huge house was picture perfect, and the grounds were meticulous, with a breathtaking view of Amish farms in every direction. We were amazed that the check in was done completely by phone. We were given codes to enter the front door and to enter our room. There was no staff on hand, but available by phone if needed. The room was outstanding, with a terrific bathroom, jacuzzi tub and separate walk in shower, super clean. Our room had a door into the modern, beautifully appointed and well stocked common areas, plus an exit door to the veranda (with white rocking chairs) and with easy access to the parking area for loading and unloading luggage. This was far and away the nicest place we stayed in during our road trip. We can't say enough about our experience here with the house, the owners and the other guests, and hope to come back to the area sometime.

There was a dining room, kitchen and rec room available to use if desired. We ran into the staff who had just cleaned our rooms and she was very friendly and welcoming. My only concern might be if your room is on the first floor and there are several people in the dining room, the noise could be noticeable in your room.

The Inn was fabulous! The cleanest place I've ever stayed at. It was quiet and relaxing. The breakfasts were excellent. The staff was friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend and plan on going back!

This was perfect for me and my wife. Rooms have codes so no need for keys. It was clean and well managed. Nice room with streaming TV service, as well as a large bathroom with a good shower. Not a bed and breakfast, but for our needs this actually works better. There are great restaurants only a minute away. downtown Belin is within walking distance.

Very clean and updated! Only thing, the AC didnt work in our room nor in the living room nor kitchen. Our room was 80° when we got there and it wouldnt come on. They gave us 2 other rooms to choose from and they were both fine. We have friends in CA and would like to bring them over sometime so hopefully this issue can be resolved soon. Thank you much!

The Hillside Inn was a very nice property. We have stayed in Amish Country many times and this was our first stay here. Our room was very nice. It was clean and comfortable. It was on the 2nd floor. I was very happy that it was. The Inn has 3 rooms on the first floor and I would have been very disappointed had I had one of them. The communal kitchen, living room, eating area etc is on the first floor. I would have been so uncomfortable having people right outside my room watching t.v. or using the kitchen. Again, thank goodness my room was on the 2nd floor. We enjoyed having use of the kitchen. We bought food from the local stores and used the oven to warm things up. Also we enjoyed being able to make coffee in the morning. The kitchen was very nice and clean however the only silverware available were grapefruit spoons which seemed odd considering it had so many other helpful things. All in all I would recommend staying here if you are staying on the 2nd floor. It is in a great location and was clean. We enjoyed our 2 night stay!

The property has a wraparound porch that has a stunning view of the countryside, and the ability to watch the sunrise from any room or the porch was fantastic. The room itself was spacious and clean, with the ability to enter from inside the Inn as well as exit through a porch-side door. Though it's not well-advertised, there is a large kitchen with just about everything you would need to cook a meal. Since many local restaurants close at 7, being able to use the kitchen is a great asset. The coffee station could use better signage about helping oneself, as some guests assumed I was an employee and complained to me about not brewing the coffee early enough when I made myself a pot in the morning (which was quite funny at the time as I was still in my PJs). There were a few things that could be improved: - The coffee was horrible (Folgers). Considering so many local roasters, the Inn could partner with a local roaster to provide coffee for guests. - There was a large hornet nest on the porch that preventing guests from leaving the backdoor in the morning. - The A/C unit was incredibly loud and woke me several times during the night when it kicked on. It was so loud that I could not hear the television over the sound. The A/C unit either should be repaired or replaced. - The doors to the rooms lock automatically when the door closes. Since there is no on-site staff, this could be a problem if someone forgets their key and their phone (if they have one) if they leave.

I never met staff in person but check-in went smoothly, and when I called with a question, staff was very friendly. The room was spacious and the view was gorgeous. This huge house was picture perfect, and the grounds were meticulous, with a breathtaking view of Amish farms in every direction. We were amazed that the check in was done completely by phone. We were given codes to enter the front door and to enter our room. There was no staff on hand, but available by phone if needed. The room was outstanding, with a terrific bathroom, jacuzzi tub and separate walk in shower, super clean. Our room had a door into the modern, beautifully appointed and well stocked common areas, plus an exit door to the veranda (with white rocking chairs) and with easy access to the parking area for loading and unloading luggage. This was far and away the nicest place we stayed in during our road trip. We can't say enough about our experience here with the house, the owners and the other guests, and hope to come back to the area sometime.

New owners as of yesterday. No one to greet us except the landscaping crew. They were fantastic and gave directions and recommendations for several restaurants! Found out there is NO breakfast and we paid for a Bed and Breakfast! Two other couples were also completely surprised about this fact!

This was perfect for me and my wife. Rooms have codes so no need for keys. It was clean and well managed. Nice room with streaming TV service, as well as a large bathroom with a good shower. Not a bed and breakfast, but for our needs this actually works better. There are great restaurants only a minute away. downtown Belin is within walking distance.

The view is amazing. The wraparound porch gives you a wonderful view of the farms and the animals. I love that they have complementary water, coffee, tea, hot chocolate. I wish they would bring back morning breakfast. That was so wonderful waking up and having oatmeal muffins, yogurt, and fresh fruit.

A full kitchen and dining room you’re able to use to prepare your own food. They don’t serve breakfast but there’s lovely cafes minutes away in Berlin. Room was nice and clean with a great view on a side street on the edge of town. However, it claimed to be a Bed n breakfast which it might have been but IS NOT now. I feel I was misled and feel others have been misled too. Can’t get breakfast anywhere near this place on Sunday morning so I had to drive 30 miles to the next county to eat breakfast. Got an email just before staying there stating they didn’t have breakfast now. Honestly, don’t expect hands on service as this place is ran from a distance so wasn’t pleased about that either. Bottom line…nice place but misleading.

The property has a wraparound porch that has a stunning view of the countryside, and the ability to watch the sunrise from any room or the porch was fantastic. The room itself was spacious and clean, with the ability to enter from inside the Inn as well as exit through a porch-side door. Though it's not well-advertised, there is a large kitchen with just about everything you would need to cook a meal. Since many local restaurants close at 7, being able to use the kitchen is a great asset. The coffee station could use better signage about helping oneself, as some guests assumed I was an employee and complained to me about not brewing the coffee early enough when I made myself a pot in the morning (which was quite funny at the time as I was still in my PJs). There were a few things that could be improved: - The coffee was horrible (Folgers). Considering so many local roasters, the Inn could partner with a local roaster to provide coffee for guests. - There was a large hornet nest on the porch that preventing guests from leaving the backdoor in the morning. - The A/C unit was incredibly loud and woke me several times during the night when it kicked on. It was so loud that I could not hear the television over the sound. The A/C unit either should be repaired or replaced. - The doors to the rooms lock automatically when the door closes. Since there is no on-site staff, this could be a problem if someone forgets their key and their phone (if they have one) if they leave.

Absolutely beautiful home and property our bedroom we stayed in was very spacious and very clean! This home used to be a bed and breakfast that has been converted into a motel I guess you can say. You have access to a very large kitchen, dining area, living room, and rec room in the basement. Keeping in mind all these spaces are shared spaces with the other guests. So my only negative comment I have to say is that since this is a very large home and the kitchen dining area are shared spaces with other guests, those other guests could potentially have no regard for those sleeping in their bedrooms that are literally right next to those shared spaces. I have to bring this up because that is exactly what happened to us on our first night it was quite until 11pm people were chit chatting in the dining area of the house until 1:19am in the morning it was beyond frustrating and incredibly rude! It sounded like they were chatting inside our bedroom. This isn't a hotel where you can call the front desk and have someone tell them to be quiet 🙄 you would have to take care of it yourself and unfortunately in today's world that may not be a great idea because there are too many crazy people. Thank God the next night it was very peaceful we seriously thought we had the whole house to ourselves! So that was awesome a lot better night! I had to say that to say it really is a lovely place to stay but at the same time it unfortunately could also be a nightmare, depending on who is around
