My wife and I had a great time at the Carlisle Inn. The only thing we had an issue with was there was no pool on the grounds. They said we could use the pool at the other Carlisle Inn which was about 15 minutes away. It wasn't a deal breaker. We did like the fact it was located within walking distances to the restaurant, and they had a great breakfast.

Brought my son for 40th birthday getaway. Very relaxing. He only had two small complaints about the hotel. Not enough water pressure in the showers and no way to turn on AC to cool room off. We both put our thermostats down as far as they would go but both of our rooms were too warm. It is February so I get it. Otherwise nice stay. Friendly staff. Nice public areas and gym. Loved they gave us adjoining rooms so we could still be close but shut the doors for privacy.

The parking is in the back down from the hotel. That was the only draw back. Real homefries and bacon would be a nice addition to the breakfast, when they have scrambled eggs and sausage. The rooms were quite nice. Very clean hotel. Quiet also.

There are no bathrooms by the breakfast room. Have to go to 3rd floor or basement. Not a good design. There should be more patio space in the back to take advantage of the stunning view.

Very nice property overall. Only downside I saw was just 1 elevator, no fan in bathroom and exterior needs some painting. Property is small and is right on road which has noise but not terrible. No swimming pool. Very good location and plenty of parking. Typical complimentary breakfast and snacks. Room, although small, was very nice, reasonable rate and staff and service was excellent! For that reason I’ll return!

Very quiet and down to earth setting. Family oriented atmosphere. Loved the area to snack and play games. I wish the rooms had microwaves but not a huge deal because there is an accessible one in the snack area.

Clean,staff very friendly and courteous. Disappointed with the condition of a few areas, we stayed in room 116. The room was clean however there were several areas where large areas of paint were scraped off the walls from furniture being moved and in the bathroom large areas of paint peeling off the walls. The outside seating area had a large hole in the ceiling where apparently some type of maintenance had occurred and it was left open. Overall a good experience but we would probably not stay there again, because there are several other places to stay in the area for the same or lower price that are in better condition

The hotel was beautiful, including the room. I've stayed in Las Vegas big-name hotels that had beautiful lobbies but the rooms looked like a fleabag motel: carpet stains, holes in the walls, beat up furniture, etc.. The room we stayed in at the Carlisle was beautiful; crown moldings, nice furniture, handmade quilts on the wall, everything in perfect condition. The staff was very friendly and helpful. it was the nicest hotel stay I've had in a decade.

DeeAnn was great at the front desk. We added an additional night last minute, and she was able to work some magic to keep us in the same room (302). The campus is beautiful and well maintained. The only downside was our bathroom. It really needs some attention. The shower door handles were loose, the grout needs a very deep cleaning, new caulking is needed along the shower, the replenished towels could have stayed in the dryer longer, and the toilet seat slides around when you sit down. The drywall in a few areas in the room and the bathroom have some pretty significant gouges in it. None of these issues would deter me from staying there again. Nice morning breakfast and cookies and popcorn served in the early evening. The staff was excellent!!

For such a beautiful facility, they desperately need to update their mattresses and pillows. We had an updated walk-in shower which was very nice, but the grout was pink with dirt and the floor grout was also discolored. Everyone was extremely friendly. We loved the shopping and eating within next door

We loved our stay at The Carlisle Inn. The location was perfect with gorgeous views of the rolling hills. The room was very comfortable and spotless; the bed was so comfy. Our balcony was lovely; our only recommendation is ask for a room on the back of the hotel. The Continental breakfast was great, and the staff friendly and helpful.

Went solo, but got a much smaller room than when I went before as a couple. Room was very nice, but the bed was extremely uncomfortable and the AC unit came on in_frequently, kicking covers on and off all night. Very nice area, beautiful hotel and surroundings.

They did not have my reservation that I made thru Expedia Tried to tell me I must have made it at another inn when I showed them it was booked thru Expedia they made excuse sometimes it doesn’t register. Luckily they had a room for us or we would nave been out in the cold if you are going to use a third party service to offer your bookings make sure they work . I will not stay here again and will warn my friends to avoid staying here

Beautiful, comfortable room. Wish they would put a recliner in the rooms for those who can’t sleep in beds anymore. That would be perfect. Breakfast was good - lots of choices. Staff was wonderful and friendly as always.

The hotel is absolutley beautiful!! Rooms are so clean and spacious and the staff was so nice!! Had a very nice conversation with the general manager Marcie Solovyov at breakfast. Highly recommend!
The hotel is absolutley beautiful!! Rooms are so clean and spacious and the staff was so nice!! Had a very nice conversation with the general manager Marcie Solovyov at breakfast. Highly recommend!

When asking the front desk if we could have a room on the quiet side of the hotel (plus not a busy week) the front person said “since I booked thru a third party they couldn’t give me a better room. If I had booked directly thru them they could give me a better room.” We have been given the same room each time we booked thru the same third party. Unfortunately the mattress is hard and the room is right next to the elevator and dining area. Very loud. Didn’t realize it’s due to NOT booking directly thru the hotel.

Whenever I visit Ohio’s Amish Country, I stay at the Carlisle Inn. The Walnut Creek location is ideally located for all the area has to offer, and the extras (free breakfast in the am, cookies and popcorn in the evening; comfortable, individually decorated rooms with private balconies and great views) make for a great getaway.

Breakfast was not very good, but everything else was great. It was clean and welcoming. The staff were super friendly. The views were amazing and the location is right in the middle of everything we enjoy doing.

This place is just excellent! So quiet, next to the chocolate factory and a popular Amish restaurant. Walking distance to many stores and antique shops. Excellent, friendly staff with a free breakfast that was delicious! Will definately come back here! Highly recommend!

Very nice property overall. Only downside I saw was just 1 elevator, no fan in bathroom and exterior needs some painting. Property is small and is right on road which has noise but not terrible. No swimming pool. Very good location and plenty of parking. Typical complimentary breakfast and snacks. Room, although small, was very nice, reasonable rate and staff and service was excellent! For that reason I’ll return!

My favorite part of the stay was the yummy breakfast with fresh-baked goods. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the view from the balcony was lovely. We ate dinner at the next door restaurant, also affiliated with the property, and I am glad we arrived early, since it closed at 7 PM, which is very early for us. After 7 PM, the area shuts down, so if you want peace and quiet (like we did), it's ideal.

We really enjoyed the private balcony off our room. Breakfast was good (especially the homemade cinnamon rolls and cranberry muffins). The only disappointment was that we went to get evening popcorn twice during the time it’s supposed to be available, and it was out both times.

Very nice hotel. Clean, comfortable beds and pillows. Beautiful landscaping. Friendly staff. Free cookies and popcorn! The only disappointment was the breakfast buffet. Sausage, sausage gravy and biscuits, boiled eggs, plus the normal offerings. We didn’t eat because we dont like sausage. No hot eggs. Definitely needs improvement!!!

We were not impressed with the continental breakfast. We did not eat there the second day. We have stayed at less expensive hotels that at least had fresh fruit options like oranges and bananas. The evening snack was nice.

The company that owns the inn also own a chain of restaurants. The breakfast needs a lot of work to be comparable to other establishments in the area. Even the coffee at breakfast was awful. Room was clean and beds comfortable. Staff pleasant and efficient.

The place was beautiful with all the fall decorations and the hotel staff at check in was awesome. The breakfast wasn’t so good the sausage links both days were cold and the round eggs was ice cold in the middle on Sunday. I did say something to the breakfast people but they seem like they didn’t really care one way or the other. I also said something to the front desk when we checked out.

This was a nice hotel in Amish country. Breakfast was good and having tea and cookies in the evening was a thoughtful amenity. Our only complaint is that the mattress in our room was very firm and uncomfortable. The staff were all kind and helpful!

I will definitely be back!!! Loved the people that worked there. Everyone was so nice. The breakfast was delicious and it was nice to have the late snacks. No complaints here.
