Nice rooms, no elevator but that's no biggie. Lobby was spacious and desk clerks were kind. Housekeeping never cleaned our room...had to leave key card on desk day of check out because the only person on duty was out driving the shuttle. Not their fault but management might hire more help?

Another great stay. We were returning from an extended trip and were relieved to get to a hotel that we knew would be clean, we knew the staff would be top notch and we knew the pool would be open and warm. It is the warmest pool we have swam in a hotel setting. I recommend The Grande to everyone. The price point is reasonable and with The Sky Lounge on property - you just can't beat the convenience. 5 stars in our book.

My sister was getting in late from a west coast flight, so I called the hotel to verify that they had a 24/7 shuttle. The man I spoke with said they did and that she should call when she got in. She called.4 different numbers, left messages and never got anyone. There are no Ubers or taxis in Bangor at that time of night and she finally got a ride from the bus for the holiday inn. There was no one at the desk from she got in after 1 am. The woman finally arrived (in the shuttle!) and said she had no staff. Also, there is NO elevator in this facility. I would never use this facility again.

The staff at Bangor Grande are lovely. However, this property is in serious need of a revamp and a good cleaning. The common areas are in disrepair, and our room was not clean. We found several long black hairs (my whole family is blonde) and my husband stepped on a contact lens (we don't wear contact lenses). Our towels and water were refreshed after the first day but there's no housekeeping service beyond that while you're staying there. There are gouges out of walls, there's rust everywhere, most of the doors stick, the carpet is stained in lots of places and it smells. We didn't even dare try the pool, I was terrified. We won't be back unless I hear that they have undergone serious renovations and upgrades.

Check in was easy. The hotel itself is quite dirty. The lobby stairs were covered with dirt and leaves. All the hallway carpet was dirty and obviously not vacuumed for quite a while. Our room itself was clean.

Pool is very spacious but bottom was dirty, wasn’t properly cleaned during our 4 day stay, could feel grim on feet. Doors to outside of pool deck not sealed, taped shut. One ladder not stable. Double beds not satisfactory for a family of 4 Shower was great, able to get more towels as needed Room size great, heat worked well. Quiet. Son broke out in a rash from pool, had to treat with Benedryl and could not return to the pool as it burned his skin

The room was dusty. The beds were small but comfortable. Blow dryer didnt work. No cot was available. The worst part however was the pool. It was filthy. Dirt lines around the pool and algae all around the edges. There were pieces of the ceiling in the pool and around it and the ceiling was gross. The check in staff was nice however.

David was great and picked me up at the airport. I had a delayed and late flight last night. However, I was in room 132 and when I walked in, I did smell possibly a pet odor. I was afraid that when I got up in the morning at 7:00am I would have my eyes all puffy due to allergic reaction to pet dander. I had checked to make sure I did not check a pet friendly room. Thank you!

The photos online, especially of the front desk and check-in area, looked really nice, so I had higher expectations. Unfortunately, the actual room was very outdated and worn down. The bed was small and not very comfortable, and the walls were so thin I could hear people partying late into the night, it made it really hard to get any sleep. The wifi kept dropping during the evening, likely because too many guests were using it at once. Oddly, it worked fine in the morning when fewer people were online, so that was frustrating. There’s also no microwave in the room, which would’ve been helpful. They do offer coffee in the morning near the front desk and a place to refill your water bottle, but there’s no option for cold water. Overall, not a pleasant stay, and I won’t be booking here again.

The room was just a bit dated. Bathroom could definitely use a refresh - felt like it was from the 70s. the bed was not the most comfortable hotel bed out there either. It was clean and it didn't feel gross, just dated. Same goes for the pool. Could use a refresh for sure. Did not eat at the restaurant, but the menu looked pretty good! It was relatively cheap which is nice. Staff were friendly. I'd give it a 3.5/5

AWESOME front desk staff! So super friendly and eager to help us around my first time in Bangor. Hotel in general was clean, tidy and well worth the money. Had a cool shuttle service to the airport and concerts. 5/5 would stay again.

Room key didn't work when we got back from concert. Front desk clerk was on break. Came to room eventually and used a device to get us in room. Maintenance came early next morning?lots of "F" lAnguage... inappropriate. Felt some sort of compensation should have been given for the inconvenience. Margo-shuttle driver was great 👍

The girl at the front desk had my car towed while I was checking in, even though she knew I was having issues with damage to my luggage and was trying to resolve it talking to the airline. She threatened to throw me out of the hotel and refused togive me her name on video while I was trying to resolve the issue. Additionally, she refused to let me use the shuttle to go to the place to pick up my car where they had had it towed. I feel quite sure that she was in a relationship with the towing company and was receiving a kickback for having my car towed. There was no other explanation of why someone would do that to guest who was trying to check in. They did not try to let me know that my car needed to be moved by phone or by stepping a few steps down the hall to my room. I was on the first floor. The girl was totally rude When she refused to even provide her name to me. I was not prepared for the extra $200 that it cost me because she had my car towed. It was uncalled for, and I never even raised my voice when I was trying to resolve it and ask her why she didn’t bother to contact me if the car was in the way. There was no one checking into the hotel when I went out to find my car had been towed. I had flown into Portland airport and driven three hours to Bangor only to discover that my luggage had a large hole in the bottom and that there was an issue with the Roller and that’s why I was having so many problems handling my luggage. She knew this.

The girl was totally rude When she refused to even provide her name to me. I was not prepared for the extra $200 that it cost me because she had my car towed. It was uncalled for, and I never even raised my voice when I was trying to resolve it and ask her why she didn’t bother to contact me if the car was in the way. There was no one checking into the hotel when I went out to find my car had been towed. I had flown into Portland airport and driven three hours to Bangor only to discover that my luggage had a large hole in the bottom and that there was an issue with the Roller and that’s why I was having so many problems handling my luggage. She knew this.

This was a good place to spend the night. The room was clean and the bathroom had everything we needed. It's close to the airport and a few minutes drive to the main shopping area of Bangor. Staff were friendly and parking was easy. I would recommend this hotel!

Had a great stay on our way from Portland to north Maine. Great location (1 min walk to Bangor Park and Ride where all the major bus lines and Downeastern shuttle make a stop). Staff all very helpful as well

It was obvious that this was once the premium hotel in Bangor - the place for conference meeting, weddings, or other big fabulous event, and still wants to be "that place." However, it looks tired & worn. NEVERTHELESS, it still holds great potential, if/when they are able to do a freshening up with paint, floor covering, and general upgrades. The room was large and comfortable - bed, lighting, TV, refrigerator, etc. ~ It's a little noisy because of the busy street passing by, but I was pleasantly surprised to sleep undisturbed by it (so the traffic probably lessened through the night; and didn't pick up again too early). ~ We ate dinner at the Blue Sky Lounge (hotel restaurant). The food was good. The menu plentiful. The prices reasonable. The ambiance was not my taste, but not distasteful either. When we were there the atmosphere was more of a bar than restaurant, somewhat loud for eating our dinner after a long day, but not obnoxious. ~ We didn't use the pool, but peeked in; and it looked good. The courtyard out the back needed landscaping attention!! STAIRS... NO ELEVATOR. We aren't young but fit enough to handle the stairs to the 2nd floor, but not everyone would want to carry their luggage up them. We didn't need to use the hotel to airport transportation service, but saw that it was available. ~ Overall, I would stay there again, and recommend it to anyone who asked me.

Very clean facility with lots of amenities for people of all ages. Restaurant within the hotel was an added convenience. They are more than reasonably priced with a variety of options both food and drink. Pool table and live entertainment a plus. Didn't stay long enough to use the pool but it looked clean and was heated. I would 100% recommend to anyone for a stay in the Bangor area and I will definitely be back.

This was a glorious hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was better than we expected, very clean and comfortable. The attached Blue Sky Restaurant has a good breakfast at reasonable price, plus you get a discount for being a hotel guest.

My husband and I stayed for the night to go to a nearby concert. The front desk staff were very helpful and we appreciated the discount for the restaurant in the hotel! They also offer free shuttle service to the concert venue! The restaurant/bar was excellent as well; staff was friendly and very reasonable priced!

We were returning from an extended trip and were relieved to get to a hotel that we knew would be clean, we knew the staff would be top notch and we knew the pool would be open and warm. It is the warmest pool we have swam in a hotel setting. I recommend The Grande to everyone. The price point is reasonable and with The Sky Lounge on property - you just can't beat the convenience. 5 stars in our book.

We had to wait 20 minutes to check-in. As there's only one desk person on that is also the shuttle driver. We had to wait 20 minutes to check out as there was nobody at the front desk again. The front desk staff were very polite, but waiting 20 min to check in was not acceptable. and it could have been cleaner. The restaurant food was not great and it came out cold. I was very disappointed in this hotel.
