Hotel muito bonito, mas por ser todo de madeira, quando as pessoas passam no corredor faz muito barulho, escutasse malas arrastando o tempo todo. O hotel não possui estacionamento, possui parceria com estacionamento na rua ao lado, custo de 14 dólares por noite. Está muito bem localizado. O café da manhã possui poucas opções e sempre as mesmas.

Be prepared to drive in circles to find the hotel. Once you do, it’s hard to find a safe place to park. The hotel recommends a place and it cost you 14$ to park. Breakfast was terrible. There was no food other than some watermelon. Coffee was scarce and you’re lucky if you get a cup. Oh watched the cooks sit there eating while the guests sat there with nothing.

Hôtel très sympathique/typique qui nous a permis de passer la première nuit à San José après avoir atterri. Il y a 2-3 bar restaurants autour qui permettent de se mettre directement dans l’ambiance. Un parking également disponible à 50m pour environ 15$/ nuit. Les seuls points négatifs seraient le peu de choix au pti dej ainsi que l’absence d’ascenseur pour monter les valises.

Cannot beat the location for a night or two in San Jose, and super affordable. Less than a block from Jade museum and National Museum, easy walk to Gold museum and Central Market. Charming boutique hotel, accommodating kind staff, room was a great size, bathroom was nice, view was of the city on one window and out to the mountains past the city on the other. The only con anyone mentions in reviews is it is literally right next to a commuter train track, so go in with the expectation that you'll hear train horns at 6am. But they stop during the night between main sleeping hours, and if you know yourself you'll know if that will bother you or not. Nice breakfast, fresh fruit, gallo pinto, eggs, bread. Discounted gated 24/7 parking right around the corner. Just a very charming place to stay right in the heart of the city that feels calm and serene inside.

A beautiful hotel! The rooms aren’t anything fancy, but are comfortable and great for a short stay. There are plenty of communal areas to sit I. The rest of the hotel outside the room, and it is quite lovely out there. Nice breakfast with indoor and outdoor seating. I showed up a day early and they quickly changed the reservation and got us into a room. I would absolutely stay here again.

Was a beautiful place old and dated but loved that but our toilet didnt work properly even though we did not put toilet paper down. We were on the third floor and was quite the trek with 2 heavy pieces of luggage as there is no elevator. Staff was friendly but the area is sketchy.

Lorsque vous êtes en transit à San José c'est l'hôtel qu'il vous faut. Une ancienne maison victorienne qui a conservé tout son charme d'antan. L'intérieur est cosy avec ses boiseries, plancher, escaliers, décors. Un havre de paix au centre de la ville. Une mention spéciale également au personnel sympathique, un grand merci aux dames du ménage qui rendent cet établissement parfaitement soigné.

Very walkable location. Lovely buffet breakfast. Staff are nice but I had to ask for a map and tour info. Rooms come with a safe, which is nice. Great shower with soap. Clean rooms. Rooms are small but there are Lovely common areas where you can sit. The front porch is especially inviting. The hotel can be noisy about once an hour when the train passes behind it and blows its horn. But it’s quiet at night. Location is within walking distance to National Museum, Jade Museum, Gold Museum, National Theater, Artisans’ Market, Central Market, grocery stores and restaurants.

While the building is historic (0ld), the bathroom was updated and functioned well. The room had tile floors and was clean. The staff were very available and helpful to this English-speaking client. The beds are not very comfortable, somewhat on the hard side. But, for the price of the hotel, it was acceptable to me. The hotel is only about 1/2 block from Avenue 2, which makes it convenient for restaurants and shopping. Close to their national museum, and within walking distance of Central Market.

The property is in a good location as it is walking distance to the National Museum, National Park, Plaza De La Cultura and other points of interest in San Jose. However, the facility is too close to the train track. As a result the noise level is too loud and train runs early in the morning affecting ability to sleep in a bit.

The staff were lovely and warm, the traditional breakfast was delicious but the property is situated right next to a railway track. The noise of the constant trains, barking dogs and loud motorbikes spoils the overall stay. And then there is the coffee machine on a table but no electrical socket to plug it in so you have to carry it to the side of the bed or the bathroom 🙄 And the price of a small bottle of water that you easily mistake as complimentary was the price of a taxi across town. Hmmmm

This was my second stay at Fleur De Lys, but I don't remember the first time being as noisy as this stay. The daily trains blew their horns every time they passed by the hotel. This made it hard to get a good night's sleep. Also, our room was next to the stairwell, and we heard constant walking throughout the night. This will be our last stay here, but the on good thing is that it was close to Central Avenue.

From the minute we got picked up from the airport I knew it was going to be wonderful. The hotel itself, a refurbished Victorian mansion, is absolutely stunning and beautifully decorated. The amenities are excellent and the rooms are modern and spacious.
