The property was in an excellent location with wonderful reasonable restaurants in walking distance. The nightly rate was very competitive. Our room was exceptionally clean. Staff was friendly & helpful. On the negative side, the only ice maker was down during our stay & the pool was nonfunctional & closed.

We searched online for a solid week, at least, trying to find a property that had a pool, good location and affordable. Upon check in, we were told that the pool was closed, already drained. We were traveling with kids and that was the main thing they wanted; so it was disappointing. I had pre paid so. The staff was friendly and the room was nice, clean and the location was awesome.

The Retro is a great place to stay in Branson. Remodeled adorable hotel close to the outlet malls and everything on the strip. The hotel was spotless. The front lobby staff was super accommodating for us arriving early. We will definitely stay here again!

This is the WORST place we have ever stayed! We booked for 2 nights. The place had good reviews so we tried it out. We stayed Friday and woke up to BED BUGS!! Of course we packed everything up and went to the front desk to let them know and the lady acted like it was no big deal! Also, I spilled on the floor Friday night, when I cleaned it up with a bright white wash cloth it was completely BLACK! Needless to say we wore our shoes the entire time we were there. This place is so disgusting! Do NOT stay here!

The hotel itself was nice and it a great location. The room and bathroom were very clean, the floor was not. My husband and I both had black, dirty feet from walking around the room barefoot. The room just needed a good mopping. Overall the stay was perfectly fine.

Staff amazing. Renovations pretty good. Rooms need refrigerator and microwave. We had a baby with us and couldn’t refrigerate his formula. Housekeeping needs to do better cleaning in the rooms. The floor turned our feet black and we couldn’t let our child be on the floor without covers being on the floor. Great place just needs to be kept clean better. Other then that our stay was pretty good.

The property looks nice online but really isn’t in person. Our bedding was dirty, the floors weren’t clean in the room or outside in the walk way (it was sticky and you could see that something was wiped up but not cleaned up properly). The room wasn’t wiped down, there was hair from previous occupants or from the person who “cleaned” the room. Pillows smelled like urine and for a good amount of the night it sounded like someone was rearranging their room.

The motel has recently been remodeled but there is a few problems. One being that the curtain rod was improperly installed and instead of bowing out it bows down and the curtain slides to the center. The room does not have a iron or board, no microwave, no blow drier or phone. We stayed two days and the room was not made up before the second night not even clean towels. I don’t believe they upgraded the mattresses because they were hard and uncomfortable. We will not be staying there again.

Good rate and friendly people, but there are some issues. First, there was no blow dryer in the room. We didn’t find this out till we got out of the shower the next morning. There was no one in the office at 7:45 AM and I had to call the emergency number. Someone had to “come down” and bring us a blow dryer. We were almost late for our appointment as a result. People need to be advised they are not in the room and are available on request when they check in. Second, there was no microwave in the room. Every hotel I have ever stayed in had at least a little microwave. Finally, the floor looked clean, but it was filthy. Our white socks were black on the bottom.

We loved the retro! On the heart of the strip. The retro vibe was strong, the rooms were very clean, great beds and a nice pool with a great view from the back side of the hotel. We'll be back! Also great rates.

My only complaint was it was bright in our room. Perhaps some different curtains would be helpful. Otherwise, it was great! It was very clean and recently remodeled! Would stay here again!

The ladies at check in were nice. The beds were very bouncy, if one person moved it would wake the other up. There was a dirty towel laying in the bathroom upon arrival. The walls are paper thin, we could here the people next to us along with the banging of their headboard

Rest room too small to be comfortable. Nothing to hold onto getting into tub for shower. However, Staff, very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and pleasant. Breakfast area almost non-existent. Not good for colder weather. The two chairs in room were not comfortable.

My boyfriend and I stayed here recently. You can tell the rooms have been recently renovated. The rooms look just like the pictures from online. The room seemed very clean. The bed was very comfortable. The air conditioning got cold and the water got hot! There wasn’t a lot of staff interaction except checking in and out. They were friendly tho. We didn’t get the chance to swim in the pool so I don’t know how that was. Tv was cable tv. Overall good experience!

This hotel was just as advertised. It's a cute little hotel that has had a facelift. The pool was fun and the location was great. But the real star of the place is the staff, Teresa and the team members we came in contact with were wonderful. They were alway so helpful.

It was nice. Management was not on the property most of the time, you had to call them, not a good experience in that area. Only had 2 wash clothes for 2 people for 2 night and 2 day stay, never came and checked the room to see if we needed towels or anything. Did not know how to charge the room for one night on one debit card and the second night on the other persons debit card.

I booked & paid for my stay. Get to the hotel to check in and the lobby was dark & locked. All staff quit!! Hotels are no help in getting a refund! Worst experience ever!!! DO NOT BOOK!!!

Booked the hotel a month prior, showed up on our check in date of 11/08/24 with no notice or call from the hotel saying they were closed. My family and 6 other familys were left having to find a different hotel late in the evening. I would stay far from this place if i was you. My family stays in branson quite often and this was the worst experience so far.

They weren’t there when it was time to check in. The hotel was basically abandoned. I was still charged and Expedia wouldn’t refund my money either. It doesn’t get much worse than that.

There was no room service. Very minimal service. No place to sit and enjoy a morning breakfast as advertised. When we arrived there was a customer complaining in the lobby about over charge on their room and lack of management concern. No bathroom essentials like shampoos or creams.

At night it is a little tricky to find the driveway (probably due to my night vision). But it was ok. Located on very busy street. Restaurants near by but have to cross busy street. Outlet stores are near by (walking distance if you are mobile & can do steps and climb slopes).

First, can’t say enough about Branson…what a cool, unique place. Next, this hotel is perfectly placed to get to everything, in walking distance. Currently not offering breakfast, which isn’t a value of mine, anyway, but there was good coffee, all I need! Finally, the room accommodations and view was just what I needed to decompress.

The Retro Hotel has recently been renovated and features a mid-century modern design. The rooms were comfortable and air conditioning made the room very cool on a hot summer day. We enjoyed the pool and my older kids liked that it had a deep end of 9 ft. There was plenty of hot water for showers. A continental breakfast is provided. If you are looking for a budget stay that is nostalgic and close to everything this is the place to stay.

This place is great! It's very centrally located right on the main strip. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. This was our first time staying here and we already booked again for September. They have a nice pool with seating and poool floats. They are still doing updates and plan on redoing the suite they have on the top floor. They just started having a hot breakfast recently. We tried the biscuits and gravy and they were delicious. Rooms have cute reteo microwaves and a mini fridge.

Attending a conference just down the highway so this was just a one night stay. Super clean. Love the updated room. Staff were friendly and helpful in every respect. I’m gluten and dairy sensitive so having eggs and potatoes available for breakfast was nice, although seating was ridiculous. Took my food to room. Bed was very firm with no foam topper of any kind. Hard on my hips. Got a good value on hotels.com or I wouldn’t have even considered this hotel.
