Not a great hotel for a stay of more than 2 days. We were there for 6 nights. Beds are very hard. Pillows are lumpy. Bathrooms have no fans so get very humid and smelly. Bring toilet paper. What they have in the bathrooms is very rough and no bidet. Room was so very hot at night but the only option was to open the window all the way. You can't just open a touch to let air in. Very quiet at night. Decor was just meh. Not like photos which look much nicer. Rooms feel old but are very clean. The staff do a wonderful job of making up the room each day. If your claustrophobic make sure to get a room a lower floor so you can take the stairs. We were on 5 and the elevator is VERY tiny. Overall ok spot but won't stay here again more than 2 nights.

We enjoyed our stay here. The staff were all friendly and spoke English very well. We liked that the front desk was staffed at all times. There are many nearby options for dining and shopping. It’s a little far from tourist attractions but we enjoyed the shopping along the way. The large street the hotel is situated on isn’t the best option to walk along as you make your way into the heart of Paris. If you choose one of the side streets, that’s where you’ll find all the bustling shops and restaurants. We always walked to the attractions in the morning and then took Uber at night to return to the hotel. The front desk had an iron I could use and wine glasses. Our room was cleaned nicely everyday. The rooms are small as is to be expected, but we were comfortable. Make sure to let them know if you need one bed or 2. I accidentally didn’t specify and we were put into a single bed, but they were very nice about it and were able to move us to a room with 2 beds. There is an elevator, but it’s very small, only big enough for 2 people, perhaps 3 if you squish. My friend with claustrophobia always took the stairs. Overall we really liked this hotel and would stay here again. 5 Star!

This small (boutique) hotel was the best accidental find I’ve ever had the good fortune to reserve. We are two senior ladies who prefer not having to share a bathroom. This hotel not only offered two adjoining (not connecting) rooms that shared a common entry vestibule, but could be secured using our own key. 1. The location was perfect: 11th Arr., close to the Metro, a lovely greenway across the street, many cafes and restaurants close by. 2. The whole hotel has only 27 rooms, and everything was SPOTLESSLY CLEAN. Everything. 3. Both of our rooms faced the street and had tall old-fashioned latched windows that opened completely. 4. The bed was very comfortable and the duvet cover was clean and pressed. 5. The bathroom was small but offered a bath/shower combination and a pedestal sink .The shower also had the best water pressure of most any of the hotels/B&Bs I’ve ever experienced. A+ 6. The room amenities included a large screen TV, a hot water kettle and a wonderful (pod type) coffee maker. 7. The cooling/heating control worked quite well—5-minute temperature changes. 8. The hotel reception area is very small, but very cozy. The persons handling the front desk were very friendly and answered/advised/helped us with all our questions. 9. On two days a week there is a large farmers market in the greenway outside, where you can buy meat, fish, fruit, flowers, clothing, etc.

Hotel St Martin Bastille exceeded our expectations. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is beautiful, with an unusual lobby, lots of books, comfortable seating. Our rooms were clean, comfortable, and decorated in a lovely, minimalist style. The neighborhood is convenient, cafes and restaurants and metro are nearby, and the hotel is easily walkable to the Marais and some other tourist sights. The biweekly market across from the hotel was outstanding -- but having rooms looking out onto the market means that you might find your sleep disturbed in the wee hours of the morning as they set the market up. We will be recommending this hotel to our friends and family.

We will definitely stay here again when we visit Paris. It is in a nice neighborhood with loads of dining options and close to the train stations. The hotel itself was the nicest we have stayed in Paris. It is a 25 room Boutique hotel completely renovated with good sized rooms and windows which open. Delicious breakfast, elevator, and a welcoming entry room. The staff are the best! Everyone was so helpful and kind giving us ideas of places to go. They also clean the room every day which is such a nice touch. We will be back. Thank you, Elise & James

Hôtel bien placé proche métro ligne 9 (Oberkampf) et juste à coté d'une multitude de petits commerces si besoins. Chambre et salle de bain très propre et récemment rénovées je pense. Tout est conforme aux photos. Plutôt bien insonorisé. Très bon rapport qualité prix, en tous les cas, sur cette semaine du 15 au 20 décembre. Une bonne adresse en trois étoiles VS un ibis si les prix restent à ce niveau !

Vi bodde i ett Classic room som var väldigt litet, men mycket rent och fräscht. Dock ingen utsikt, den var mot en vägg men fördelen var att inget trafikbrus eller högljudda cafegäster störde. Tystnaden ihop med otroligt sköna sängar gjorde att vi sov som stockar. Mycket god frukost. Mycket trevlig personal. Det enda jag tyckte var lite negativt var en trång hiss, men jag fick motion istället. Kan varmt rekommendera detta lilla hotell.

Wonderful stay at Hotel Saint Martin Bastille. The hotel is charming and incredibly well located with a plethora of restaurants, cafes and shops on the doorstep. The rooms were very comfortable, good size with decent storage. The bed mattress was wonderful and the bed linen was very high quality. The staff on reception were very friendly and available 24/7. Highly recommend to anyone looking to stay around Oberkampf or close to the Marais when visting Paris.

We enjoyed our stay here. The staff were all friendly and spoke English very well. We liked that the front desk was staffed at all times. There are many nearby options for dining and shopping. It’s a little far from tourist attractions but we enjoyed the shopping along the way. The large street the hotel is situated on isn’t the best option to walk along as you make your way into the heart of Paris. If you choose one of the side streets, that’s where you’ll find all the bustling shops and restaurants. We always walked to the attractions in the morning and then took Uber at night to return to the hotel. The front desk had an iron I could use and wine glasses. Our room was cleaned nicely everyday. The rooms are small as is to be expected, but we were comfortable. Make sure to let them know if you need one bed or 2. I accidentally didn’t specify and we were put into a single bed, but they were very nice about it and were able to move us to a room with 2 beds. There is an elevator, but it’s very small, only big enough for 2 people, perhaps 3 if you squish. My friend with claustrophobia always took the stairs. Overall we really liked this hotel and would stay here again. 5 Star!

Our room was small, like many in Paris, but even for two of us (a mom and a 20yo son), it worked out perfectly. If you have enormous luggage, choose a larger room, but the smallest selection worked just fine for us. We each had a rollaboard-size suitcase (expanded out) and a backpack. I will stay again without the slightest hesitation. Sami and Muhammad at the from desk made sure we had everything we needed. So pleased!

This is a fabulous hotel - a real gem! I would highly recommend to anyone wanting to be close to the centre of things in a great local area - lots of cafés and restaurants at hand and well connected by metro. Hôtel bien placé proche métro ligne 9 (Oberkampf) et juste à coté d'une multitude de petits commerces si besoins. Chambre et salle de bain très propre et récemment rénovées je pense. Tout est conforme aux photos. Plutôt bien insonorisé. Très bon rapport qualité prix, en tous les cas, sur cette semaine du 15 au 20 décembre. Une bonne adresse en trois étoiles VS un ibis si les prix restent à ce niveau !

Very nice hotel, at a great location near to Metro station and busstop, so touristic sights easy to travel to. Lot of restaurants nearby. The location of hotel is located very near Oberkampf metro station which is really truly convenient. It is a hidden gem area with loads of dining options especially famous boulangerie Utopie nearby. Personally the location is very centralized which enables you to move around in central Paris with a breeze. The room we stayed in is cozy and comfortable with a comfortable size for 2. Housekeeping was done for us daily. The hotel staffs are very friendly and speaks English perfectly well. Every Tuesday and Thursdays you’ll wake up to a beautiful morning market with local food and fresh produces.

Not a great hotel for a stay of more than 2 days. We were there for 6 nights. Beds are very hard. Pillows are lumpy. Bathrooms have no fans so get very humid and smelly. Bring toilet paper. What they have in the bathrooms is very rough and no bidet. Room was so very hot at night but the only option was to open the window all the way. You can't just open a touch to let air in. Very quiet at night. Decor was just meh. Not like photos which look much nicer. Rooms feel old but are very clean. The staff do a wonderful job of making up the room each day. If your claustrophobic make sure to get a room a lower floor so you can take the stairs. We were on 5 and the elevator is VERY tiny. Overall ok spot but won't stay here again more than 2 nights.

Check-inn was good and Michell made it a very pleasant experience. I thought my friend and I would get 2 single beds but seems Expedia got the information wrong. Turned out my friend and I had to share 1 double bed. The hotel said they would inform Expedia of this mistake. Breakfast was good and was included in the price although we booked without breakfast. The hotel is impeccably clean and close to Le Marais. Everything was within walking distance. Allover our stay was very pleasant and that was also because aside from Michell all the other staff at the reception were extremely helpful and friendly. Will stay there again for sure.

Hôtel Saint Martin Bastille Was every bit as good as the website suggested , so well located to explore Paris with plenty of eating out options nearby, staff professional, and the room was spotless so my wife said and she is always a good critic! Our room on the top floor had character yet all modern conveniences. Breakfast was super. No hesitation to recommend as a city break.

Vi bodde i ett Classic room som var väldigt litet, men mycket rent och fräscht. Dock ingen utsikt, den var mot en vägg men fördelen var att inget trafikbrus eller högljudda cafegäster störde. Tystnaden ihop med otroligt sköna sängar gjorde att vi sov som stockar. Mycket god frukost. Mycket trevlig personal. Det enda jag tyckte var lite negativt var en trång hiss, men jag fick motion istället. Kan varmt rekommendera detta lilla hotell.

Perfect location. Property was comfortable, clean, and safe, with accommodating staff. The room was spacious and the bathroom looked brand new. Water pressure was great in the shower. Quiet room despite being right on the park. Cute decor. Air conditioned. They were happy to store our luggage before check-in and after check-out, and quite kind at the desk. I don’t think we could’ve asked for more for our stay. We had to cancel two days of our stay because of the Icelandair strike and there was no hesitation or surcharge on their part. We were happy before that interaction and indebted after. Thank you for your kindness!

A wonderful location with good walking access to pick ups for transportation. A bustling, lively area with lots of options for food, despite that not noisy or intrusive. All staff were wonderful but the front desk staff were exceptional and nothing was too much trouble. If you want to be away from the tourist rat race but close enough to do the tourist things, this is a perfect location and would highly recommend Hotel Saint Martin Bastille.
